After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It - Chapter 25
This feels too strange.
All the demon tribes stared at the expression on Xinghui’s face.
For a moment, they didn’t know how to describe the strange feeling in their hearts – a sense of contrast?
The demon tribe had always been assertive and self-confident, believing that they had no faith. So when they heard about the cooperation with the god and confirmed that Xinghui would stay in the Z30 star system, they were proud of their strength and the assistance they could provide to the little god.
And now, they were like the adopted eldest son, happily presenting various resources, receiving encouragement and approval from the patriarch. But before they could fully rejoice, they saw the patriarch turn his head with eyes full of anticipation and treat the newborn youngest son at home with gentleness.
Clearly, this was what they requested and the best solution they could think of, but they couldn’t help feeling that inexplicable emotion.
There was some silence around, and the expressions on the faces of these demon tribes carried a hint of strangeness, especially Yuanyuan. His dark red eyes were fixed on the faint smile that Xinghui suppressed on his lips.
After a moment of silence, Yuanyuan pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth, pulled up the corners of his lips, revealing that standard, almost fake, smile, and said, “Let’s include this in the cooperation goals. We can afford to support Lord God, but we shouldn’t let Lord God’s affiliated races lack resources and go hungry. That wouldn’t look good.”
Moreover, Xinghui wasn’t going to stay in the Z30 star system forever. After all, they weren’t Xinghui’s affiliated races, and Xinghui had made it clear during his stay in the Z30 star system that he wasn’t suitable for residing there. He didn’t belong to the Z30 star system.
However, helping Xinghui also had its benefits. A god who could defy the will of the Abyss and be friendly to the demon tribe – if he could develop further, regardless of whether the Alliance existed in the future or if there was another god, it would be extremely advantageous for the demon tribe.
So, they were clearly in a higher position than the so-called affiliated races. They were Xinghui’s collaborators. Since it was cooperation, everything needed to be explained clearly to avoid future troubles.
Stroking little horns, stroking wings, and now soothing a little god who didn’t even have affiliated races…
Yuanyuan looked at Xinghui.
Seeing the satisfied nod from the little god, he straightforwardly said, “Well done.”
This attitude was too straightforward and decisive. Yuanyuan, who had finally solidified his identity as a collaborator, inexplicably choked, but he didn’t understand why he felt stifled.
Finally, without figuring it out, he looked at Xiya.
Xiya quickly responded, “These are the personnel files we arranged. It’s a five-person team driving a small airship, secretly heading to Reconnect Star to explore the progress of life and the resource situation on surrounding planets. The small airship hasn’t been used for a long time, so it’s still undergoing inspections and tests. Lord God, there’s no need to worry too much about recovering spiritual power. We will inform you of any news promptly.”
This was probably the best news he had received since running away.
Xinghui let out a long sigh of relief.
The lifted eyelashes revealed beautiful yet lifeless black pupils.
“Alright, thank you all.”
The relaxed tone carried a hint of softness, especially considering it was a god expressing gratitude.
It wasn’t until Xinghui was sent back to his room by Yuanyuan’s arranged personnel to handle the energy minerals and prepare to send some to Xinghui’s room that everyone came back to their senses, lowering their heads to continue their work.
Yuanyuan issued instructions one by one.
Everything ran smoothly and orderly.
Amidst the subtle tapping of fingertips, someone spoke up.
“Can’t we work harder to support the god continuously?”
Yuanyuan, who was examining energy minerals, felt a slight jump in his forehead and raised his eyelids.
“Are you silly? Can gods be easily supported? He can’t even endure the sunlight on Z30. Besides, he needs faith. Do you have any? You just want to support a god.”
“If he can’t endure sunlight, let the research institute study materials that can shield sunlight. We can gradually improve the environment. Right now, the god also doesn’t have faith. Isn’t it fine like this?”
The person probably knew that they were talking nonsense. Their fingertip movements became faster as they mumbled. After confirming the data, they cautiously glanced at Yuanyuan, who was sitting and examining the energy stones, seemingly lost in thought.
“Boss?”
Yuanyuan snapped out of it.
“Besides the companion minerals, polish the edges and corners of these energy stones before sending them over. He’s too delicate, and his hands are injured. Don’t send too large ones. Also, find some harmless little demons to deliver them.”
After saying this, he walked behind the person, glanced at the information they had brought up, and commented, “Reconnect Star, once a civilizationally advanced planet, mainly inhabited by the Reconnect tribe. They have deep green eyes and sensitive antennae on their heads, similar to insectoid races. They live in forests, able to sense weather changes and the approach of various dangerous creatures. The planet is known for producing lightweight and beautiful fabrics made from plants unique to Reconnect Star, which the Reconnect tribe used to make a living.”
There was also a simulated image of the past appearance of the Reconnect tribe on the page.
The person looked somewhat juvenile, with two antennae hanging down softly with the hair. The deep green eyes seemed to be staring at Yuanyuan’s dark red eyes through the screen.
Yuanyuan pulled his lips and wanted to laugh but didn’t manage to. “Ugly.”

Xinghui finally made it back to his room.
As soon as the door closed, he walked to the bedside, kicked off his shoes onto the bed, wrapped himself in the blanket, and nestled into the corner.
He even lifted the blanket to cover his head, creating complete darkness. In this quiet space, the little god took a long breath, lowered his head, patted his chest.
Today was a bit too exciting.
Luckily, he held up well. His godly dignity didn’t seem to have diminished much, and maybe soon, he would have his own followers.
It was indeed good news.
Now, looking back, Xinghui didn’t even know how he managed to withstand the pressure from Yuanyuan and negotiate cooperation with him. Perhaps he got a bit carried away in the moment, or maybe it was the result of pinching Yuanyuan’s small horns and wings, giving him a bit of audacity.
And why did he even pinch Yuanyuan’s horns and wings so many times? That was one of the commanders of the demon tribe.
Xinghui curled up in the blanket, completely relaxed. His appearance seemed gentle and innocent, as he habitually reviewed what he had done in the past few days.
Improve what went wrong and maintain what worked.
Recalling his exploits multiple times, Xinghui raised his hand and tried to press the small tuft of hair on his head.
The little tuft of hair had been cut off by more than half and could no longer be pushed into the hair. It stood proudly, but while it stood tall, the shoulder of the little god drooped down.
Should he just cut off this strand?
It was really affecting his image.
Thinking of this, Xinghui got up and looked around for something sharp to cut off this troublesome strand of hair.
However, the room had been thoroughly cleaned by the demon tribe, and there was not a single sharp object to be found. Even the edges of the table had been rounded overnight. The pain in his wrists increased as Xinghui searched.
Xinghui went into self-isolation.
He pinched the tuft of hair on his head again, feeling somewhat resigned.
It was at this moment that the room’s door was knocked.
Xinghui startled, straightened his back, and quickly hid the crumpled blanket into the corner. He covered it with a pillow, touched the collar and cuffs to ensure there were no issues, then walked to the door and opened it.
Three or two small demon tribe members pulling a transport cart were standing at the door, knocking and curiously looking around.
As the door opened, Xinghui’s figure appeared before them.
Compared to adult demon tribe members, Xinghui seemed petite, but it was the demon tribe’s robust physique that made them appear tall and imposing. In fact, Xinghui’s height was more than a head taller than Yuejian, making it a relatively normal height among interstellar races.
So, in the eyes of these little demon tribe members, who had just reached Xinghui’s waist, the antagonist god in their childhood stories was tall and imposing. The gold tassels on his black military uniform shoulders swayed slightly with his movement. His face was calm and composed, devoid of any emotion. The dense black eyelashes hung low, casting shadows on his face along with the black hair.
His eyes didn’t even glance at them but looked straight ahead, giving a somewhat ‘unapproachable’ vibe.
Although he was handsome, he seemed quite fierce.
A few small demon tribe members wearing children’s-sized black military uniforms trembled. Their bright red eyes glanced at each other, and their small horns hadn’t fully grown yet, looking particularly tender, like small buds just emerging from their hair.
Finally, one brave small demon tribe member, who found the god displeasing but was assigned this task, puffed out his chest and raised his head. “We’re here to deliver energy stones to you. Please step aside, and we’ll bring them in for you.”
Xinghui was stunned, not only because the voice came from below but also because it sounded childish with a deliberate attempt to sound fierce.
His eyes subconsciously looked downward.
“This is the energy stone we’ve prepared for you, Great God. Give it a touch and see if it’s suitable.”
Another slightly smaller girl’s voice followed, and she spoke right after the first one. Xinghui felt a cool, round object on the back of his hand.
Xinghui instinctively gripped the smoothly polished energy stone, and his expression involuntarily softened.
Were these kids really here to deliver energy stones?
Even though he had heard that demon tribe members were all part of the military, growing up in the army with teams, ranks, and daily training, this voice sounded too naive.
Xinghui, who had hardly seen children, didn’t know how to react.
“I just washed this stone, so it’s a bit wet.”
Perhaps noticing his lack of response, the childish voice rang out again.
This was troublesome.
The demon tribe was really cunning!
How could he maintain his godly dignity with this group of kids around him?
Xinghui’s efforts to keep a straight face were starting to falter.
Author’s note:
Now –
Yuanyuan: We are noble collaborators, not like those affiliated tribes.
Later –
Yuanyuan: Can’t the affiliated tribes just leave? Can’t a god have more than one affiliated tribe??
Applause for the demon tribe for successfully leading themselves into a big future pit~
