After Admitting The Wrong God They Regret It - Chapter 91
There were no opportunities for compensation, nor was there any way to mend relationships.
Previously, the little connection left from the storm was now completely severed.
The alliance members hadn’t yet reacted; from the false gods to the disappearance of the abyss, and then Xinghui informing them that the storm had also vanished, an era had ended. For the past several thousand years, these changes happened too quickly and too tightly.
It felt unreal.
The demon race’s small airship had already stopped in front of Xinghui and Yuanyuan.
After dropping this statement, Xinghui completely ignored the alliance races’ intentions, and the starship quickly left the area.
Soon, various races’ communicators started ringing.
“Your Majesty, the pollution monitoring instruments show that pollution is rapidly decreasing. In this short time, it’s already approaching zero!”
Not only was this message received, but almost all the upper-level star systems received similar news.
What Xinghui said was true.
The storm had really ended.
Now that the pollution in the upper-level star systems had ended, the pollution in the lower-level star systems would also slowly disappear. Everyone no longer needed to be troubled by the aftermath of the storm.
Naturally, there was no longer any reason for them to persist in salvaging their relationship with Xinghui.
“Isn’t this good?”
Someone suddenly spoke up, saying this.
The surroundings fell silent, and after a moment, dry laughter began to sound: “Yes, it’s good. There will be no more pain, no more genetic diseases, and we no longer need to think about how to please the gods—”
“Yeah, yeah, it’s a good thing. It’s a good thing. We won’t have to worry about Xinghui anymore. We don’t need to think of ways to deal with him. We don’t need to care about him anymore.”
These words seemed like self-comfort and self-soothing. Although they touched the hearts of the upper echelons of various races, no one felt truly relieved. Everyone couldn’t express what they felt—was it the sight of Xinghui’s different attitude towards the demon race? Or the irony that the rebellious demon race could eventually live in harmony with the gods?
But in any case—
The Dragon Race leader bowed his head.
“Everyone, disperse. The storm has ended, and the gods are no longer needed. Don’t think about it anymore.”
Yes, in the storm-free interstellar space, the gods were no longer needed.
Everyone left the area, silently thinking to themselves.
*
Because there were still many merfolk race test subjects to be dealt with.
Xinghui and the demon race had returned outside the merfolk race’s space, waiting for other demon race starships to take away the test subjects and the information about the gods.
Yuanyuan had played a delaying role in the storm, resulting in himself being severely injured by it.
His wings were broken, his ribs were nearly all fractured, and blood was oozing from everywhere on his body.
When Yin Fan saw Yuanyuan’s examination report, he frowned tightly, wondering how their leader could still be running around in such a condition. He really didn’t know how he was hanging on with a sliver of divine energy.
“The injuries are too severe. The previous injuries haven’t healed yet.”
Yin Fan glanced quickly at the little god standing beside him, who was also pale and weak.
“He’ll probably need to lie in the treatment chamber for at least two days.”
Xinghui nodded lightly.
“Do you want to get a more detailed examination? Your complexion really doesn’t look good.”
Yin Fan frowned as he observed Xinghui’s face. Although a preliminary check had already been done, Xinghui didn’t have any major issues.
However, gods’ situations were different from theirs. Last time, after confronting the storm, Xinghui had returned with a high fever that they couldn’t diagnose. It was later analyzed that it was because Xinghui’s power conflicted with the storm’s power, combined with the fact that Xinghui had just recently recovered his power.
Now that Xinghui had dispelled the entire storm.
“It’s nothing. It’s just that my mental energy was overused. I’ll recover slowly. I’m aware of my condition. You should continue treating the other demon race injuries. I heard that the merfolk race put up a strong resistance before, and with their special mental powers, they injured many.”
Xinghui waved his hand and looked down at Yuanyuan, who was lying quietly in the treatment chamber.
Yin Fan quickly responded and, as he reached the door, couldn’t help but look back.
He saw the usually serious and calm god leader smiling at the corner of his lips, his snow-white fingers gently tapping on the treatment chamber.
Yin Fan squinted and then closed the door.
“How is the Lord God doing?”
Xiya, who was waiting outside, came over.
“The Lord God is fine, but the leader’s condition is quite serious. He’ll probably need to stay in the chamber for at least two days.”
“The leader will be fine. He’s survived severe injuries before. He’s tough.”
Xiya shrugged, affirming Yuanyuan’s strong self-healing ability.
“But I still feel something’s off,” Yin Fan squinted. “Between the Lord God and the leader, I always felt something was strange. Today’s attitude of Xinghui towards the leader—”
Indeed, anyone who frequently stayed around Xinghui and Yuanyuan could sense it.
But no one had thought in that direction, nor had anyone asked or discussed it.
“The leader still hasn’t found a partner…” Xiya initially wanted to say that Yin Fan was overthinking, but he only said one sentence and felt something was off too, “Would the leader dare?”
Although it was common in the interstellar world for pairs to form regardless of gender, making the Lord God a partner??
The two of them dared not say more.
The more they talked about it, the more it seemed that someone really did dare.
Inside the room, Xinghui watched the tall demon race trapped in the treatment chamber.
Yuanyuan hadn’t fallen asleep yet. His tall frame was squeezed into the treatment chamber, looking somewhat pitiful and uncomfortable, as if he had been stuffed into a box that didn’t fit. His dark red eyes followed Xinghui’s fingertips. Wherever Xinghui’s fingers moved, his gaze followed.
Although nothing much was happening, Xinghui felt like his fingertips were being stared at intensely.
Especially since Yuanyuan now seemed unsatisfied. Since the storm had dissipated, it was as if something had been turned on within him.
Yuanyuan’s hand also lifted, with his injured fingertip pressing against the transparent cover of the chamber, trying to follow Xinghui’s fingers. He looked very earnest.
After the storm had ended, Xinghui felt relaxed both physically and mentally.
Compared to Yuanyuan, he considered himself a theoretical giant, having read quite a few romance novels about gods.
This kind of fingertip-following behavior—felt oddly innocent.
And Yuanyuan was still a little bird who had never been in a relationship.
Just as Xinghui was thinking this, when Xinghui’s fingertips moved across his view, Yuanyuan attempted to lift himself in the chamber and leaned in to kiss through the cover.
That didn’t feel so innocent anymore.
Xinghui instantly retracted his hand.
“Lord God, the people have been brought over, and the materials are all organized. Would you like to review them first?”
There was a light knock on the door.
Xinghui quickly responded.
He then looked at Yuanyuan, who seemed dissatisfied, talking from inside the chamber where he couldn’t be heard outside.
Xinghui took the golden fragments from his pocket and held them in his hand.
“Just lie down obediently.”
One was Yuanyuan, and the other was Chuyue.
“We’ll discuss the rest once things are settled.”
Xinghui was about to leave with a serious expression, but when he looked at Yuanyuan, his calm demeanor faltered.
“What are you grinning about? I didn’t say I’d agree—”
“Tsk, don’t try to play the pity card just because you’re injured. I’m not falling for it—alright, alright, just lie down properly.”

Author’s Note:
Yuanyuan: Not only do I dare, but I’ve been longing for it for a long time! Wife, wife, wife! Promise me that when we get out, you’ll agree. You promised to come home and get married after the war! You’ve already agreed, so I’m not listening to anything else!

Today, I encountered some frustrating issues, which made me feel down. I didn’t have much energy throughout the day. Tomorrow, I’ll go out with friends to buy some things and boost my mood. I’ll work hard to write more tomorrow night. There’s also a bit of regret for not including more of the other lines. How much sweetness would you like to see?
The next story will be about a little orca and will start either at the end of this month or early next month.
