After being moved to tears by the sworn enemy's pheromones - Chapter 3
The sunlight was too intense, and the afternoon break extended, causing the day’s training to be postponed until 7 p.m. As the sky darkened, the instructor finally released the new recruits, allowing them to go back for dinner and rest.
Shen Jin was about to contact his roommate when he overheard someone reprimanding Gu Yu: “You’ve been absent-minded throughout the entire formation. Do you know how obvious it is with your height that you can’t walk properly?!”
The one reprimanding was the leader of the squad, stricter than regular instructors.
The new recruits quickly dispersed, and few dared to speak. Shen Jin, however, boldly approached, hearing the leader say, “Move all the sandbags used by your academy before you leave, got it?!”
After the leader left, Shen Jin approached and said, “Got scolded, junior? Can you really move all the sandbags in the entire engineering school?”
Gu Yu, expressionless, replied, “Yes.”
His arm muscles had indeed become tighter. Shen Jin followed him and casually strolled, saying, “So, who distracted my precious junior today? Could it be the senior mentioned in your interview? Me?”
Gu Yu didn’t look away, responding, “Senior owes me three beatings, what do you think?”
In high school, Shen Jin did indeed beat Gu Yu three times, and he admitted it without hesitation, “Still want to get them back? Do you believe I’ll beat you for the fourth time right now?”
C’s top students were right; Shen Jin might appear well-behaved, but he wasn’t a obedient student at heart.
The two were in the warehouse, and Gu Yu dropped the sandbag, calmly looking at Shen Jin, “No one here. Senior can try anytime.”
Shen Jin couldn’t stand his calm demeanor, and in an instant, the tension between them rose, just like when they were young. Shen Jin immediately kicked the warehouse door, saying nonchalantly, “Sure, today is August 4th, the best day for educating a son.”
Gu Yu remained silent, waiting for Shen Jin to make the first move.
With a slightly narrowed gaze, Shen Jin grabbed Gu Yu’s collar, and his clenched fist headed straight for his nose.
But Gu Yu wasn’t inexperienced – he slightly tilted his head to dodge, then, without waiting for Shen Jin to adjust, he seized Shen Jin’s right wrist, aiming to grab his right shoulder.
It was at this moment that he suddenly realized resisting Shen Jin was much easier than before, to the extent that he only needed to exert about seventy to eighty percent of his strength.
The scorching air tore between the two, and just as the physical conflict was about to erupt, Gu Yu was planning to press Shen Jin against the side wall. Suddenly, he saw Shen Jin’s steps falter, as if he could step into thin air on level ground, looking a bit unstable.
Gu Yu was momentarily stunned, and it wasn’t until Shen Jin’s body suddenly slid down that he instinctively reached out to grab his waist, feeling a bit confused.
“Senior?” Gu Yu couldn’t react for a moment, even questioning if he had really done anything just now. “What’s wrong with you?”
“I f***…” Shen Jin probably felt embarrassed about falling on flat ground and immediately pushed him away. “Let go of me.”
He said push, but he didn’t really exert any force. Gu Yu half-knelt and immediately noticed that Shen Jin’s face was blushing in waves, showing some inexplicable symptoms.
“You—” Gu Yu wanted to speak, but he felt a surge of heat unrelated to the temperature erupting from his body. The blood vessels in his abdominal muscles throbbed painfully within seconds.
The situation was tense, and after a moment of confusion, Shen Jin seemed to suddenly come to his senses and quickly turned around to hide something.
A special and increasingly strong aroma permeated the surroundings—the fragrance of just-baked cream puffs.
As an alpha, Gu Yu naturally wasn’t hard-pressed to understand what had happened.
After all, his instincts told him that the scent was pheromones.
Or more accurately, it was Shen Jin’s pheromones.
It took him a few seconds to process this, but the heat streaming through his body still pulsated in his abdomen, making his voice tremble a bit. “Senior, you’re not an alpha but an omega?”
“Why?” Shen Jin hesitated for a moment, immediately interrupting him with a bit of force. “Are you shocked? Do you want to express your 800-word thoughts on the spot, little study genius?”
The entire warehouse still lingered with the soft and sweet aroma of cream puffs. Shen Jin unexpectedly spoke confidently, “Damn, this cliché plot. You found out I’m an omega from the beginning. Next, are you going to fall in love with me?”
But after saying that, Shen Jin himself was momentarily stunned, immediately adding, “After all, I look so good—”
Gu Yu’s Adam’s apple rolled, responding, “No such plot, unless I’m dead.”
However, he was swollen and in pain. Soon, he uncontrollably pinched Shen Jin’s chin, unable to believe he wanted to bite him, “Senior, how can you be an omega?”
“F***, can you stop repeating it?” Shen Jin gritted his teeth, swallowing the low moan that was about to overflow from his throat. “So what if I’m an omega… it’s not like I can’t make my brothers happy every now and then. Do you understand anything?”
“You…” Gu Yu was speechless, but Shen Jin was quite adept at giving orders, “Enough with the protection—did you bring suppressants? Hurry up and take them, then go buy medicine for me…”
At that moment, Shen Jin, despite his strong demeanor, had cheeks filled with a rosy flush, tender and soft like a peach, as if a pinch would release sticky and sweet juices. Gu Yu impulsively opened his mouth, not knowing whether he wanted to suppress the surging impulse.
The air in the warehouse was stifling. Shen Jin uncomfortably bit his swollen lower lip, absentmindedly wanting to rub against the sandbags nearby. Yet, his mind was clear, understanding why he had no reservations against Gu Yu.
Wasn’t it just the first heat period in three months, the sudden intensity of pheromones, and being coincidentally discovered by an alpha? If it were someone else, he would have to think about how to conceal it. But facing Gu Yu, he had no psychological burden.
After all, any alpha in the world could be interested in him, except for Gu Yu.
Whether he was an omega or not didn’t make much difference.
Moreover, Gu Yu soon fell silent, took out suppressants, and after Shen Jin was sure the situation would be resolved smoothly, he didn’t expect Gu Yu to comment after calming his breath for half a second, “The alpha suppressants I brought are already quite potent, but Senior, your pheromones are too intense.”
Shen Jin was bewildered. He initially wanted to clench his fist and hit him, but the surge of heat waves made him tremble suddenly, and his legs went weak, only able to support himself by holding onto Gu Yu’s shoulder.
Perhaps, at this moment, “Senior, Don’t Even Think About Escaping” could be instantly renamed to “Campus Heartthrob Alpha’s Adorable Little Wife.”
This made Shen Jin feel utterly embarrassed. He had never experienced such a strong pheromone impact. The hollow places in him felt as if they were filled with countless hot yam vines, pushing through every crevice. He could only bury his burning face into Gu Yu’s shoulder, attempting to hide his embarrassment. However, Gu Yu seemed electrified, uttering a trembling sound, “Don’t—”
“F***.” Shen Jin was tormented by the repeated contractions, saying, “Do you think I want this?”
He had no time to contemplate why his usually faint pheromones suddenly surged throughout his body. Swearing was more urgent, “Before you took suppressants, you didn’t really want to f*** me, did you…?”
Gu Yu raised his hand, tightly covering the gland at the back of his neck, and immediately replied, “Who would f*** you?”
“Heh, wanted to f*** me… Consider yourself preserving the family honor…” Shen Jin, gritting his teeth, intended to kick, but unexpectedly, his body became even more unstable, slipping further into Gu Yu’s embrace. Panic-stricken, he sank in, leaving Gu Yu with no choice but to hold him, choking out, “Well, not too small. Too bad there’s no place to use it.”
“You—” Shen Jin was so frustrated that tears began to well up. Gu Yu then opened his mouth, hastily adjusting their position, attempting to pull him up, “No, I’ll take you to the infirmary right now.”
“To the infirmary…?” Shen Jin held back tears, still stubborn, “Go to the infirmary and let others see me like this…? Are you trying to turn this place into a crime scene?”
After all, even facing his best friend and roommate, he couldn’t expose himself in this state.
But Gu Yu insisted on pulling him up, “Your mouth is harder than granite. I’m afraid if it continues like this, instead of you chopping me, I’ll end up having your child—notify Senior in advance; I didn’t bring a condom.”
“You—” Shen Jin’s face continued to burn, teeth clenched, glaring at Gu Yu. Gu Yu tore a piece of tissue and pretended to bite it, as if in a hurry to lift him. His voice sounded a bit distorted, “What am I doing?”
It seemed that Gu Yu was afraid he might lose control, biting the gland on the back of his neck, and making a temporary mark on him.
Unable to resist, Shen Jin used the last bit of his strength to push Gu Yu away, saying, “Chaste and virtuous Alpha, junior?”
He felt an inexplicable surge of anger and just wanted to push Gu Yu away, saying, “You’d better hurry out and get suppressants for omegas… I’ll wait for you here…”
If they weren’t mortal enemies, they might have reached a certain point by now.
So it has to be said, Gu Yu’s principled appearance resembled someone who had only studied Confucian virtues during a decade of rigorous education, igniting a flame in Shen Jin’s heart.
Gu Yu, on the other hand, seemed more eager to infuriate Shen Jin, even getting so angry that he spat out the torn tissue in his mouth, saying, “Too far, and I need to show proof. If I leave you alone in the warehouse, I’m afraid when I come back, every sandbag will be damp and clumped.”
Shen Jin almost fainted on the spot from anger. Gu Yu continued, “Your pants are almost wet. If you really don’t want others to know, it’s quicker for me to take you back to my apartment.”
Shen Jin, ashamed and with both ears burning red, subconsciously wrapped his arms around Gu Yu’s waist. This made Gu Yu tense up, quickly putting a hat on Shen Jin’s head and intending to lift him again, saying, “Okay, if you don’t want anyone to see, bury your head in my chest.”
Shen Jin was surprised but quickly recovered, feeling the heat, he asked, “Are you going to hug me?”
He quickly claimed he could still walk, but Gu Yu, even angrier than him, immediately lifted him up and through gritted teeth, replied, “Yes, still, main, hug.”
Shen Jin was too angry to speak, but with rapid breaths, he could only bury his face in Gu Yu’s chest.
Approaching 9 o’clock, many students were walking on the playground after dinner. Gu Yu chose a small path at the back to facilitate taking Shen Jin away.
The summer night’s oppressive heat persisted, cicadas buzzing incessantly. The restlessness in Shen Jin’s body caused his consciousness to blur, repeatedly recalling the scene when he transformed into an omega. Soon, only one thought remained in his mind: his misfortune might be starting again.
