After The Soft And Cute Beauty Marries The Wolf King - Chapter 16
“You saw her?” Xie Zhiqing chuckled and said, “She was in a hurry to leave, so I didn’t keep her. Before she left, I noticed her hair was loose, so I helped her tie it up again.”
Lang Sa snorted and said, “She knows how to boss you around.”
“It’s not like that, how can you call it bossing around? It’s just a small favor.” Xie Zhiqing said softly, “I used to help Xiaoyue tie her hair often, I really enjoy it.”
Lang Sa pulled at his own hair and asked in a low voice, “What about me?”
Lang Sa’s hair was coarse and thick, grasping it felt a bit rough. Xie Zhiqing used his fingers to comb through his hair, and his ears warmed up at his words.
Xie Zhiqing’s voice was like a mosquito’s: “Then I’ll help you tie your hair in the future.”
Lang Sa nodded in satisfaction, “Okay.”
When he really touched his hair, Xie Zhiqing realized that Lang Sa’s braids were different from Lang Xiaoxiao’s. Although they looked like simple braids, the intricacies within were quite complex.
After carefully studying it, Xie Zhiqing finally untied Lang Sa’s braids.
He watched him, while Lang Sa lay quietly by his side, watching him.
Xie Zhiqing was truly focused on learning, sometimes frowning, sometimes nodding in sudden realization, making many subtle movements.
A strand of his hair fell down beside his ear, softly resting on Lang Sa’s finger.
Lang Sa twisted his hair around his fingers, asking, “Xiaoqing, curious about what I found during these days I was out hunting?”
Xie Zhiqing, while gently prying open the small silver piece in his hair, blinked and said, “It doesn’t matter what you found, as long as you’re not hurt, nothing else is important.”
But since Lang Sa asked, Xie Zhiqing still made a puzzled expression, saying, “Well then, Your Highness, the Wolf King, what good things did you find this time?”
Lang Sa shifted to a more comfortable position, laying his head on Xie Zhiqing’s lap.
This proximity was too close, so close that Xie Zhiqing’s long hair almost brushed against Lang Sa’s nose every time he bent down.
However, the young prince obviously wasn’t accustomed to such intimate actions. He pursed his lips, trying to focus on Lang Sa’s hair, but the warmth from his abdomen couldn’t be ignored, causing his face to steam up with heat.
The Wolf King couldn’t distinguish colors clearly, and could only vaguely see a faint shadow appearing on Xie Zhiqing’s face. He suddenly remembered something he had read before, saying that when two people are in mutual affection, they may blush even at the sight of each other’s faces.
Lang Sa wondered, is Xiaoqing blushing now?
He reached out and gently touched Xie Zhiqing’s cheek with the palm of his hand.
The skin under his palm was indeed warmer than usual.
Lang Sa smiled. He repeatedly rubbed Xie Zhiqing’s face with his rough palm, as if he couldn’t touch it enough.
“That fox, I’ll make you a new hat and shoes later.” Lang Sa said.
Xie Zhiqing smiled and said, “Okay.”
After that, the two didn’t speak anymore.
Xie Zhiqing focused on braiding Lang Sa’s hair, while Lang Sa stared at him without blinking.
He watched Xie Zhiqing’s slender white fingers comb through his hair, skillfully weaving a few braids, and then securing the silver pieces for the hair tie.
Even the ends of his hair were patiently tucked in with a crochet hook—this technique was not commonly used in the Central Plains, and Lang Sa wondered how Xie Zhiqing learned it in such a short time.
After tying up one, Xie Zhiqing admired it for a while.
“Okay, Your Highness, take a look.” His tone was quite proud.
Lang Sa glanced at it and smiled, “Looks good.”
Xie Zhiqing pouted, “You didn’t even look carefully.”
Lang Sa propped himself up with his elbow, leaning closer to Xie Zhiqing.
They were even closer now.
Xie Zhiqing subconsciously moved back a bit, lowered his eyes, not looking at Lang Sa.
He couldn’t see Lang Sa’s expression, but he could clearly feel his breath getting closer to him.
Their noses almost touched, their breaths almost mingled.
Lang Sa sat up straight. Just a moment ago, he was lying on Xie Zhiqing’s lap, but in an instant, he enveloped Xie Zhiqing in his arms, almost pre-ssing him onto the mattress.
The overwhelming pressure from the Wolf King couldn’t be ignored, causing Xie Zhiqing’s eyelashes to flutter like tiny wings.
Lang Sa used his fingers to touch Xie Zhiqing’s nose, while his other hand wrapped around Xie Zhiqing’s waist.
He finally completely pulled Xie Zhiqing into his embrace.
During the nearly two months they spent on the prairie, the two had not been completely devoid of contact. Lang Sa would hold his hand, embrace his shoulders, and even secretly kis.s him at night, but touches like today’s were indeed unprecedented.
Xie Zhiqing’s heart was pounding like a drum. He raised his eyes and looked at the person in front of him.
He could feel his own flushed cheeks and slightly trembling fingertips.
Lang Sa’s fingers slowly slid from his nose to his lips, as he used his thumb to caress the corner of Xie Zhiqing’s mouth, his eyes revealing undeniable desire.
He then held Xie Zhiqing’s hand and kissed it, softly calling his name, “Xiaoqing.”
Xie Zhiqing responded with a sound, feeling the burning sensation spreading from his fingertips to his whole body.
As warm kisses descended from his fingertips, Lang Sa kissed his knuckles, until his lips touched the gaps between his fingers, then softly called him again.
“Xiaoqing,” he clasped Xie Zhiqing’s face with both hands, their breath mingling between them, “Xiaoqing, is it alright?”
Xie Zhiqing opened his mouth as if to say something, but only a few moist breaths came out, his lips moving slightly, revealing only a few wet whispers.
Lang Sa then held his face with both hands, their foreheads touching, so close that it seemed they could almost touch each other’s faces with their eyelashes.
He sought confirmation from his consort again, “May I, Xiaoqing?”
Their lips moved together, as if they had already exchanged an almost imperceptible kiss.
Xie Zhiqing tremblingly reached out and grasped Lang Sa’s wrist. His palm was damp, sticky sweat rubbing against the Wolf King’s arm, almost leaving a shallow handprint.
Without hesitation, he nodded, saying, “Of course, you can…”
He looked at Lang Sa, his cheeks burning, eyes misty, his voice very soft but still firm.
He said, “Lang Sa, of course you can… we, we are husband and wife…”
As he spoke, he pursed his lips, a small dimple appearing on the left side of his cheek.
“We… are married,” he repeated softly.
He stared at Lang Sa for a moment, but couldn’t bear the affection in his eyes, so he quickly averted his gaze.
But Lang Sa didn’t give him a chance to escape. He slightly turned his face, using his lips to intercept Xie Zhiqing’s avoidance.
It was a kiss that lingered for a moment.
Short, but very passionate.
Xie Zhiqing felt like his body was about to ignite.
He didn’t avoid it, accepting Lang Sa’s kiss as he had allowed before.
Fortunately, Lang Sa wasn’t in a hurry either. He only lightly kissed the young prince’s pale, soft lips, as gentle as feathers, as if afraid that a little more pressure would damage them.
He supported Xie Zhiqing’s back with his left hand, gently laying him on the bed, while his hands were placed on either side of his body, looking down at him from above.
…he didn’t even dare to cover him, afraid of crushing him.
Xie Zhiqing lay beneath him, his eyes tightly closed. Whether out of fear or nervousness, his eyelids kept trembling, his eyelashes fluttering.
Lang Sa gently pushed aside Xie Zhiqing’s shoulder, leaning down to place a kiss on the hollow of his neck.
Soft kisses moved from his neck to his throat. Lang Sa seemed to have turned into a real wolf, gently nibbling at his vulnerable neck. But Xie Zhiqing wasn’t afraid. The sharp canine teeth touched his most vulnerable spot, yet he truly believed that Lang Sa only wanted to be close to him.
The thin inner garment was finally stripped off, and Lang Sa hesitated as his fingers just touched the collar of his own clothes.
He glanced down at himself and tightened his collar even more.
When he leaned down to kiss Xie Zhiqing’s lips again, his collar opened up once more.
In a daze, Xie Zhiqing saw several faint green lines crawling out from under Lang Sa’s loose collar. He didn’t care about being completely naked, he raised his arm and lightly touched them, softly asking, “What’s this? I don’t remember seeing it before…”
Lang Sa grasped his hand and pressed it back down, whispering in his ear, “Wolf marks.”
Xie Zhiqing felt dizzy, without thinking much, he just mumbled a response.
However, at some point, Xie Zhiqing regained his composure.
“Lang Sa…” he called out, hesitantly placing his fingers on Lang Sa’s wrist.
His gaze was wandering, as if each word he said required great courage.
He said, “Lang Sa, I… listen to me.”
Lang Sa paused his actions but didn’t really give him the chance to speak.
He kissed Xie Zhiqing’s lips, while his clean hand continued to stroke the man’s silky hair. Amidst the intermingling of lips and teeth, Lang Sa whispered softly, “What you want to say… I think I know.”
Xie Zhiqing blinked, tears wetting his eyelashes.
He guessed that Lang Sa knew something, but he couldn’t know how much. He used to worry that it would upset Lang Sa, so he wanted to find a suitable opportunity to confess, but…
After hesitating for a long time, Xie Zhiqing simply said, “I’m very afraid.”
Lang Sa kissed his earlobe and asked, “Afraid of what?”
“Afraid of many things…” Xie Zhiqing admitted honestly, “Afraid of being seen as a monster, afraid of not being accepted by others, afraid… of many things.”
Lang Sa pulled up his naked arm and wrapped it around his shoulder, kissing away the tears slowly welling up in Xie Zhiqing’s eyes. He held Xie Zhiqing in his arms and said gently, “Don’t worry about what others think, it doesn’t matter.”
He patted Xie Zhiqing’s back, his warm palm pressing against his back, his voice deep and powerful.
“You’re too concerned about this, that’s why you think others can’t accept it.” Lang Sa kissed his hair, treating him as if he were the most precious treasure, gently stroking him. “But don’t think about these things, whether others can accept it or not, it doesn’t matter.”
Xie Zhiqing emerged from his embrace, looking at him with teary eyes.
Lang Sa kissed his cheeks and the corners of his mouth again.
He held Xie Zhiqing tightly in his arms, his words as unwaveringly trustworthy as his embrace.
