Boundary - Chapter 27
The scalding s*men at her c*rvix sent ripples through her already subsiding clim*x, finally making her go limp and collapse onto his chest.
The now-tamed beast didn’t rush to withdraw but instead stayed lodged within her, blocking her entrance and filling her belly with the s*men that couldn’t escape.
This time, it was Gu Yetong who broke the silence.
“I’ll keep taking the pills,” she whispered, her fingers tracing the half-exposed chest of the man beneath her.
“I’ve said it several times—I’ll wait until you’re ready,” the man replied, his voice calm and patient, his eyes still closed as he rested. He was reaffirming his stance once again.
“But what if it takes a long time…” She still wanted more certainty. “What if I never want to?”
“Then don’t,” the man said with a slight raise of his eyebrow, as if the hypothetical scenario she presented was no big deal. “It’s already the era of professional managers. The Jin family isn’t some dynasty that absolutely needs an heir. In the future, we can just donate the profits to a designated foundation.”
He spoke with such ease, and she believed he wasn’t the type to casually plan the company’s future.
“But what if you regret it?”
What if, what if—her heart was always filled with so many worries.
But a woman’s fertility window is much shorter than a man’s. What if, by the time they were fifty, he suddenly wanted an heir? Would she have to step aside for a younger woman?
“You’re the one who mentioned freezing eggs,” the man reminded her. “I think it’s a good idea to consult a reliable clinic. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the one who regrets it later.”
It sounded like he had already considered every possibility and made up his mind—if they were to have a child, it would have to be hers.
Just as Gu Yetong was about to finally let go of the weight in her heart, the man suddenly opened his eyes and looked at her seriously. “But…”
“But what?” Gu Yetong raised herself slightly to meet his gaze, her hand on his chest unconsciously clenching into a fist. In negotiations, the final clause a businessman throws out is often the most critical.
“But I hope that not having children is because you truly don’t want them, not because you’re afraid of something.”
He was sharp, effortlessly piercing through the true source of her inner turmoil.
She was afraid of too many things. Afraid of whether she could carry a healthy child, afraid of whether she could be a good enough mother, afraid of whether she might not live to see her child grow up…
“Whatever you’re afraid of, I hope we can face it together,” he said, his large hand covering hers. When her fist slowly relaxed, he interlaced their fingers tightly.
Though she couldn’t yet muster the courage to reveal all her fears and secrets, she felt a door deep within her heart slowly cracking open.
There was plenty of time, wasn’t there?
She gently pressed her lips to his, her tongue carefully tracing the wound she had just created. “If I didn’t have to leave for Japan early tomorrow, I’d really want you again…”
The beast that had just slipped out of her depths stirred once more, but the man frowned and pushed her up slightly so they could look into each other’s eyes.
“To Japan? When was this decided? Why didn’t you tell me?”
Gu Yetong let out a cold snort. “Who was it that gave me the silent treatment for no reason for over ten days?”
Alright, he might have had his reasons, but that didn’t mean she had to forgive him.
“Sorry,” the man unexpectedly apologized, his tone resolute and sincere.
But that still didn’t mean she would forgive him easily. “Well, now I have a credit of fourteen days from you. In the future, I have the right to ignore you for fourteen days.”
“I request installment payments,” Jin Nanting said, pulling Gu Yetong back as she tried to get up and get dressed. He kissed her lips greedily. “Fourteen days is just too long…”
For once, his kisses were gentle—sometimes light pecks, sometimes tender licks, as if sincerely repenting for his prolonged distance.
“You know…” Her tone, which she had intended to be harsher, softened under the touch of his wandering hands.
“We’re not that young anymore. Making up for three times in one go is a bit exhausting,” he whispered against her lips.
Gu Yetong widened her eyes and struggled to push him away. “No… I have to take a train for several hours after landing tomorrow. It’ll hurt…”
“Is it here that hurts…” His large hand paused at the small of her back, massaging gently, then slowly slid down the curve of her hip to between her legs. “Or here…”
His palms were always so gentle, yet those slender fingers were mischievous and cunning. Just as the fingers tracing the edge of her petals nearly made her lose control, the man suddenly withdrew his hand.
“My account needs to record a credit from you too. When you come back, you’ll have to make it up to me.”
“Why do I owe you?” Gu Yetong sat up straight. “Clearly, you owe me! Fourteen minus two should be…”
When she saw the man’s lips curve into a smirk, she finally realized she had fallen into the cunning businessman’s trap.
“Alright,” Jin Nanting kissed her forehead. “Did you drive here? I’ll take you home.”
Take her home, to their home.
