From a nobody online dating to a top love brain - Chapter 12
“Uh… my leg hurts.” Yu Nan pouted, looking pitiful.
He hadn’t noticed that he had bumped into the chair. He lost his balance and fell down with the chair, struggling to get up but failing.
Feeling dizzy, he simply lay on the cold floor and decided to continue sleeping.
Bei Yuye hadn’t yet recovered from the sudden disconnection of the video call when he heard a commotion in the living room and rushed out of his room.
He turned on the living room lights and saw his senior lying motionless on the floor, with a chair pinning him down.
He quickly went over to help him up, but Yu Nan resisted.
“Turn off the lights, they’re too bright, too bright,” Yu Nan mumbled, burying his face against the floor, refusing Bei Yuye’s touch.
Bei Yuye had no choice but to turn off the lights. “I’ve turned off the lights, Senior.”
With the lights off, the glow in the dark became more noticeable; Yu Nan’s phone screen was still on.
He instinctively reached for the phone, but it had fallen too far away for him to reach.
After the lights were off, he stopped resisting. This time, Bei Yuye successfully helped him up and sat him on the chair.
Bei Yuye then went to pick up his phone. The chat interface was still open, and a quick glance made him pause.
“Water,” Yu Nan leaned back in the chair, dragging out his words.
Bei Yuye, now flustered, ran to the kitchen to get him some water, his hands trembling as he poured it.
He brought the water to Yu Nan, kneeling on one knee in front of the chair to help him drink.
Yu Nan held the cup with both hands, gripping Bei Yuye’s hand that was holding the cup.
The curtains in the living room were open, and soft moonlight spilled through the window onto his face, giving him an ethereal glow.
Bei Yuye was mesmerized. He had never looked closely before, but now he noticed how long his senior’s eyelashes were, how small his face was—everything about him seemed perfect.
“I feel dizzy,” Yu Nan murmured.
Bei Yuye quickly went to search for ingredients to make a hangover soup, but finding none, he didn’t waste time. The kitchen had honey, so he made a cup of honey water for him.
“Senior, drink this, it’s sweet,” Bei Yuye coaxed him.
Yu Nan turned his head away. “I don’t like it; my leg hurts.”
Bei Yuye turned on his phone’s flashlight and lifted his pants. He regretted not changing him into pajamas before putting him in bed earlier.
A large bruise had formed on the pale knee, and Bei Yuye gently blew on it, heart aching. “It’s all purple, baby.”
“Do you want to go back to your room, baby?” Bei Yuye couldn’t believe how quickly he accepted that his online love was actually his senior.
Yu Nan shook his head. “Drink water, then back to the dorm.”
His words lacked logic, but Bei Yuye tried his best to understand.
“Would you drink the honey water first, baby?” he asked, offering the cup.
Yu Nan drank half of it. “I don’t want any more.”
“Shall we go to your room now?” Bei Yuye asked cautiously.
Yu Nan nodded.
He picked him up in his arms, his heart racing. Nan Nan was so small, curled up in his arms, even nuzzling his head around.
When Bei Yuye laid him down on the bed, he clung to his shirt, refusing to let go. Bei Yuye’s heart pounded.
How could he be so cute!
“Huh? Bei Bei.” Yu Nan tilted his head and smiled at him.
Bei Yuye leaned closer. “Hmm?”
“No way, no way to meet in person.” he suddenly pushed him away.
“Why?” Bei Yuye asked.
Yu Nan reached out and touched Bei Bei’s abs. “If we meet in person, I’ll break up with you.”
“Bei Bei, right now, you’re my sweet wine-flavored little Omega brother. As your older brother, I need to mark you.” he pulled Bei Bei’s neck closer.
“Come closer, I’m going to bite,” he pressed Bei Bei’s neck hard.
Bei Yuye half supported himself over him, careful not to put too much weight on him.
As soon as Yu Nan got close to his neck, he bit down, causing him to flinch.
“Do you like your brother? Brother loves you so much,” Yu Nan asked, wrapping his arms around Bei Bei’s neck.
Bei Yuye nodded blankly. “I like you. I love you too.”
“Good, brother needs to sleep now,” Yu Nan said, closing his eyes right after.
Leaving Bei Yuye feeling restless, he thought about the set of pajamas he had just bought but hadn’t worn yet. He hurried back to his room, found the pajamas, and changed Nan Nan into them.
Before leaving, he made sure he was tucked in. Most people get a goodnight kiss, but he was too shy; he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
He looked back three times as he walked to the door. Just before leaving, he rushed back to the bed, placed his hand on his senior’s forehead, and kissed his own hand.
Still too shy to give a real kiss, but it counted as a goodnight kiss.
He went to the bathroom and looked at the marks on his neck in the mirror, a mix of deep and light red.
Covering his face with both hands, Bei Yuye felt a bit overwhelmed. Things seemed to be moving too fast.
His senior was his online love, and that online love was him.
How did Pei Yunchuan manage to invite his senior over? Why would he invite his senior, and what was with him,” trying to act all close?
Bei Yuye’s unease grew as he recalled the argument he had with Yu Nan before.
He stormed into Pei Yunchuan’s room, shaking him violently. “You jerk, do you like guys?”
Pei Yunchuan’s eyes opened slightly. “Guys?”
“Yu Nan has an online lover and plans to meet in person. You better forget about it,” Bei Yuye warned, knowing Pei Yunchuan wasn’t fully awake.
“No meeting in person, Little Fish,” Pei Yunchuan muttered before going silent again.
Why did everyone keep saying there wouldn’t be a meeting in person? Bei Yuye slapped Pei Yunchuan’s face lightly. “Wake up, why won’t there be a meeting?”
Pei Yunchuan, still half asleep, replied, “he only does online dating. If the other party suggests meeting in person, he will break it up.”
Bei Yuye sulked for a while, then consoled himself by thinking of all the good things about Nan Nan, finally calming himself down.
But he was still a little hurt. Feeling dejected, he went downstairs to buy medicine for him. How could there be a breakup? Nan Nan kept saying he loved him, but he did seem to avoid meeting in person.
When he returned home, he found Yu Nan back in the living room, sitting on the chair drinking honey water.
“I’ll help you apply the medicine.” he held up the ointment in front of him.
Yu Nan sipped his water, glanced at Bei Yuye, and obediently stretched out his leg.
“Will you meet in person?” Bei Yuye asked again.
Yu Nan, a bit slow to respond, smiled. “Nope, hehe.”
“Do you want to drink? I don’t want to anymore,” he offered the honey water to Bei Yuye.
Bei Yuye, crouching on the ground, applied ointment to his bruise while tearing up. This heartless person, he said stubbornly, “I don’t want it.”
“Bei Bei,” Yu Nan wrapped his arms around Bei Yuye, who was applying the medicine.
Bei Yuye hugged him back, holding him tightly. He had the real person in his arms, and he couldn’t help but squeeze him tighter, wishing he could merge him into his bones.
“It hurts,” Yu Nan rested his head on Bei Yuye’s shoulder, and his teeth instinctively bit down again.
Bei Yuye winced in pain but lifted Yu Nan in his arms, bouncing him slightly. He was really light, soft as a feather.
“Little Omega, to your room,” Yu Nan wrapped his legs around Bei Yuye’s waist, rubbing his face against Bei Bei’s.
Bei Yuye, unusually firm this time, said, “No, you have to sleep now.”
Yu Nan struggled to get down. “I don’t want to sleep. Take me to your room. I’m the older brother, and you have to listen to me.”
Bei Yuye, helpless, carried him back to his own room. But the moment Nan Nan lay on his bed, his heart surged with excitement, like a wild river.
He loved it so much, Nan Nan wearing his pajamas, lying on his bed.
They had skipped over meeting in person; everything tonight felt like a dream.
Yu Nan couldn’t see Bei Bei’s face clearly, just a silhouette. He leaned closer, trying to get a clearer view.
Bei Yuye, at a loss, found the proximity overwhelming. Their noses were almost touching.
Although they had played around a bit in the video, in real life, he hadn’t even kissed those lips.
In the next second, Yu Nan’s lips landed on his face, then moved down until they stopped at the corner of Bei Yuye’s mouth.
Like a dragonfly skimming the water, a ripple spread across Bei Yuye’s heart.
The pain spread again—Yu Nan had bitten him once more.
Bei Yuye abruptly pushed him away. Kisses while drunk didn’t count; he wanted Yu Nan to kiss him when he was sober.
Yu Nan, suddenly pushed away, leaned against the headboard, staring at him in confusion.
“I just wanted a little kiss, and you won’t even let me,” he said, bursting into tears.
Bei Yuye was startled and quickly tried to wipe away his senior’s tears. But the more he wiped, the more they flowed.
“And I wanted to mark you,” Yu Nan choked out between sobs.
Bei Yuye, feeling helpless, exposed the back of his neck to Yu Nan, playing along with the act. “Then, brother, be gentle, okay?”
Yu Nan threw himself onto Bei Yuye’s back, lightly biting down on the back of his neck.
“Orange-flavored? Why did your pheromones change?” He took a deep sniff.
Bei Yuye thought of his orange-scented body wash, his eyes darkening slightly as he chuckled softly.
It was already 3:30 AM by the time he managed to coax Yu Nan to sleep.
“Goodnight,” he whispered gently.
When Yu Nan woke up the next day, he felt sore all over. He rolled up his pant leg and found several bruises on his leg. He lifted his shirt and turned his head to look at his back, which also had a purple bruise.
He gently touched these bruises, not knowing where they came from.
He had no memory of how he got them. Holding his head, he tried to recall what happened, but the last thing he remembered was accidentally drinking baijiu instead of Sprite.
It seemed like he had a beautiful dream last night, a dream about Bei Bei, but he couldn’t recall the details.
When he got up, he realized that this room was different from the one where he was led yesterday.
There was a picture frame on the desk, with a screenshot from a game showing two characters in school uniforms posing together.
Pei Yunchuan didn’t play this game, but his junior did.
Whose room had he ended up in? He was internally freaking out.
Just then, Bei Yuye pushed the door open, catching him looking at the photo.
He had taken that picture with great care. By that time, they were so familiar with each other that they would log into each other’s accounts. So that night, he logged into two devices by himself and went on a crazy photo-taking spree.
“This photo… looks nice,” he said awkwardly, trying to make conversation.
Then he asked, “This room?”
He was waiting for that question. Bei Yuye had anticipated all the questions Yu Nan might ask when he woke up, coming up with ten answers for each, and had chosen the best ones.
Acting understanding, he said, “You insisted on sleeping in my room last night. You were drunk, so I couldn’t say no. It’s fine.”
First, he emphasized that it was Yu Nan’s request. Second, he offered a reason on his behalf. Lastly, he quietly added that it was no big deal.
That way, cute and considerate Bei Bei would leave a good impression on Nan Nan, he thought, mentally giving himself a round of applause.
