Yu Nan decided to pick up his tablet and continue drawing. He still hadn’t finished the oath-taking portrait he had planned to draw.

“I hear the sound of a pencil,” Bei Yuye’s voice came through. Since Nan Nan wasn’t talking, he could quickly identify the sounds on the other end of the call.

Yu Nan was laying down large color blocks and couldn’t help but laugh: “Your ears are really sharp.”

Bei Yuye asked, “So, what’s my baby drawing?”

“Hmm… drawing a friend,” Yu Nan could only say this. Bei Bei knew he played other games but wasn’t aware of any close friends from those games.

Although it’s not right to compare a partner with friends, Yu Nan had set up Bei Bei’s character as someone who was a university student trying online games for the first time and happened to find true love in him.

In this setup, he had never played games before.

“I’m drawing you,” Bei Yuye’s gentle voice came through again.

He really liked the sound of Bei Bei’s voice. At first, he was quite resistant to it, but once they became close, he began to enjoy it.

He realized that he wasn’t actually averse to the sound; he just didn’t like it when it wasn’t directed at him.

“I have a friend who isn’t good at singing but still insists on singing,” Yu Nan used Milk Tea as an example.

This was the first time he had mentioned people around him to Bei Bei. He began to question if he was getting a bit too involved, talking about his friends.

Meeting Milk Tea was different. Although this meeting was a bit sudden, it was a genuine face-to-face meeting.

He was afraid that kitty and the others might have built him up too much in their imagination. After all, he was only 1.78 meters tall in real life.

“Hey, handsome,” a familiar female voice called out.

He turned towards the voice and immediately identified the couple, assuming they were kitty and Doggo.

Kitty had a straight-across fringe with bold makeup, wearing a short top and wide-leg pants. Next to her, Doggo wore sunglasses.

They looked like trendy people Yu Nan wouldn’t dare to look directly at. Yet, he asked curiously: “How tall are you?”

Kitty pointed to herself: “Me?”

Yu Nan stood next to her to compare heights. He was slightly shorter than her, who had mentioned being 1.76 meters tall in the group.

“Your shoes have heels,” Yu Nan noticed, pointing at her thick-soled shoes.

Kitty burst into laughter and patted Doggo: “What are you acting all aloof for? Look, Yu Yu even noticed my shoes.”

Doggo adjusted his sunglasses and said coldly: “I’m a bit embarrassed.”

“Brother, you don’t seem embarrassed,” Yu Nan felt a strong sense of mismatch standing with them.

Kitty took off Doggo’s sunglasses: “Stop pretending and putting on airs.”

Doggo immediately became flustered: “I’m shy meeting Yu Yu for the first time.”

“Have you had lunch?” Kitty asked Yu Nan.

He shook his head: “Not yet.”

He had just woken up and received her call, so he rushed out immediately.

All his anxiety dissipated when he saw them. Their familiar voices brought him back to their interactions over the years, and he gradually relaxed. 

“I’ll go to a restaurant to have lunch. Yu Yu, do you have any recommendations?” Kitty asked.

Yu Nan shook his head. He didn’t have any recommendations because he always ate out with his roommates. His introverted and shy personality made it hard for him to offer suggestions.

When Kitty was unsure about something, she would always go for hotpot since there’s a student discount: “Then we’ll go to a hotpot restaurant.”

No one else had any objections.

“I brought you a gift, Yu Yu,” kitty suddenly lowered her voice and gestured for Yu Nan to come closer.

Doggo, seeing Yu Nan approaching happily, couldn’t help but remind: “Don’t be too eager.”

Yu Nan looked at him with confusion. Did he need to be worried about the gift?

Kitty carefully took out the gift from her bag and then dramatically unfolded it, shaking the dress a few times and looking expectant: “What do you think? Isn’t it super cute?”

There were people coming and going at the subway exit, and some were already looking their way. Yu Nan quickly stuffed the dress back into Kitty’s bag, feeling awkward: “I need to calm down for a moment with such a nice gift.”

It was a lolita dress—light pink, with puff sleeves and a layered skirt that looked like a cute little cake.

It wouldn’t look as cute on him.

“What about Milk Tea? Does he have a gift?” Yu Nan asked, not wanting to look at the dress for now.

Kitty shook her head in resignation: “I couldn’t find anything for him. Only your dress caught my eye right away.”

“I even got you some matching accessories. Aren’t I thoughtful?” Kitty clasped her hands over her heart, closing her eyes and imagining Yu Nan in the outfit. He looked even more delicate than she had imagined.

She had brought cosmetics with her, and even if someone had a stubbly beard, she was confident she could make them look like a beautiful girl. Since Yu Nan had such a good base, she could only enhance it further.

Milk Tea arrived slowly, emerging from the subway exit after another ten minutes.

Kitty pointed at him and excitedly looked at Yu Nan: “Milk Tea is here too!”

“How do you always guess right?” Yu Nan couldn’t help but ask, as he was recognized immediately as soon as he came out too.

Kitty smiled: “It’s just a feeling. When you came out, I had this sense that it was you, Yu Yu.”

As for how she recognized Milk Tea, she answered honestly: “Milk Tea has videos, so I remembered his face.”

Yu Nan asked: “But didn’t I post a blurry video? Can you really see his face?”

Kitty was surprised: “That video was a big hit! It went viral.”

Yu Nan was stunned. She opened a video app and demonstrated to him. She searched for “Mute Handsome Guy” and then confirmed the search.

A series of videos popped up, all showing Milk Tea singing at events from various angles.

Yu Nan remembered that Dreams are everything had mentioned seeing Milk Tea’s videos too. He sighed: “So, handsome guys always have a contrast.”

“Mute Handsome Guy, look at this!” Kitty looked towards Milk Tea, unable to stop waving.

Milk Tea took out his game-branded umbrella again, standing in the sun and slowly opening it. He held it up in front of them.

Pei Yunchuan grinned proudly: “Aren’t I very handsome?”

“No more face-to-face meetings with you. So embarrassing. Just stay there, don’t come over,” Yu Nan covered his face.

Doggo also covered his face: “Just stay put. I’ll bring you some toys after we finish eating.”

Kitty laughed mockingly, imitating a song Milk Tea sang yesterday: “If… love forgets!”

Milk Tea moved closer with the umbrella, covering everyone with it: “This umbrella, only sixty-nine yuan ninety-nine. It blocks wind, rain, and sun, and we’re gathering under it.”

Kitty led them to the mall, excitedly saying: “Let’s go have lunch!”

Under the umbrella, it was stifling, especially since Yu Nan was the shortest and squeezed in the middle. He felt resigned: “Do we really have to crowd under this umbrella?”

Doggo agreed: “Yeah, my head is the only thing under the umbrella.”

Doggo moved his head out of the umbrella, but Milk Tea pressed it back in. Yu Nan was fully under the umbrella, Kitty was mostly under it, and Milk Tea only had his head in it while the sun blazed outside.

Walking together under the umbrella was extremely difficult.

“This is our bond. In the name of the umbrella, may we stay together forever,” Milk Tea held up the umbrella, encouraging everyone.

Yu Nan didn’t know what to say. With Milk Tea talking about friendship and bonds, the four of them were just running under the sun with one umbrella.
