From a nobody online dating to a top love brain - Chapter 38
He was suddenly pulled closer by Bei Yuye, falling into his arms. Yu Nan lifted his head, directly brushing against Bei Yuye’s lips. The junior obediently opened his mouth, and the chase between lips and tongues sent shivers down Yu Nan’s body.
In the quiet room, only the sound of their entangled sucking remained. Yu Nan’s mind went blank, his breathing quickened, and the sound of the junior’s gasps by his ear made his legs go weak.
His hand traced up along the junior’s face, finally resting on the earring in his pierced earlobe, repeatedly rubbing the small piece of jewelry.
It wasn’t until something pressed against his skirt that Yu Nan belatedly slapped Bei Yuye’s face, blushing as he incredulously said, “How old are you? Kissing makes you react like this?”
“This is a normal response,” Bei Yuye said as he leaned in again.
“Who would dare kiss you in public like this if you can’t even control yourself at your age?” Yu Nan struggled to break free from his arms.
Bei Yuye’s hands restlessly tightened around Yu Nan’s waist, not letting him go. He muttered, “Don’t say that. I still want to kiss you outside.”
“Is this really the time for that? Go take care of it yourself and then come have breakfast. We need to leave soon,” Yu Nan ordered.
Reluctantly, Bei Yuye released him, pitifully pleading, “We can still kiss outside, right?”
Yu Nan pushed his face away with his hand. “Go deal with it quickly.”
A knock sounded at the door, and there was no need to guess—it was undoubtedly Pei Yunchuan.
Yu Nan shoved Bei Yuye toward the bathroom, hoping he’d take care of things quickly. The knocking continued, and he slapped his flushed face, straightened his skirt, and made sure he looked presentable before going to open the door.
“Why aren’t you guys ready yet?” Pei Yunchuan poked his head inside. Kitty said you had been here for over half an hour already—how sweet was this breakfast to take so long?
Yu Nan pointed to the bathroom and lied, “He’s got an upset stomach from breakfast, still in the bathroom.”
Pei Yunchuan nodded and was about to leave when he spotted the untouched breakfast on the table. He locked eyes with Yu Nan, who immediately looked away, guilty.
As sharp as ever, Pei Yunchuan instantly understood what was going on. That guy, Bei Yuye, has serious morning grumpiness. Yu Nan must have knocked, gotten hit with that bad temper, and gotten upset.
With his love-struck mind, Bei Yuye must have regretted not controlling his temper and ended up apologizing tearfully, leaving Yu Nan to send him off to the bathroom in disgrace.
Pei Yunchuan smirked mischievously. “I know exactly what’s going on.”
Yu Nan, suddenly flustered, felt panicked that someone had figured it out. Normally, Pei Yunchuan wouldn’t be able to piece together something like this—he had no experience in such matters.
“He’s just spoiled. You should be harder on him,” Pei Yunchuan suggested with a grin. Whatever makes Bei Yuye unhappy would surely bring him joy.
“Nan Nan, will you come check on me?”
Yu Nan cursed in his head. That idiot—he knew there was someone outside, yet he still shouted for him to come in.
“You should go in there and give him a good scolding. A few harsh words will straighten him out,” Pei Yunchuan said, laughing wildly. “That guy was spoiled from a young age, he’s just asking for it.”
Bei Yuye’s parents fell in love freely and had only one child, raising him with a carefree attitude. Whatever made him happy, they allowed. His grandparents and everyone else spoiled him, too.
In contrast, Pei Yunchuan had a high-achieving older brother, and his parents applied the same strict path to him. His brother’s smooth journey through life was a grueling one for him—what his brother could learn in one lesson, he needed two to understand.
His miserable childhood was something that could bring him to tears just thinking about it. Growing up with a sunny disposition was no easy feat for him.
Bei Yuye’s aloof personality was purely the result of being overindulged. He had everything, so he didn’t need much else. Even his athletic achievements came easily, and over time, he lost interest in most things.
“Nan Nan, aren’t you really going to come check on me?”
Pei Yunchuan clicked his tongue in annoyance. The more he thought about it, the more irritated he got. That guy had always been better than him, and now even in romance, he was faster. He rolled up his sleeves and marched toward the bathroom. “Let me go deal with him.”
Yu Nan, quicker to react than to think, stretched out his arm to block him. Meeting his questioning gaze, Yu Nan stammered, “He’s… you know… He’s got a stomachache… Please… don’t.”
“You know what I mean.” Yu Nan shot him a meaningful look, not sure what he was saying but trusting that Pei Yunchuan would fill in the blanks.
Pei Yunchuan scratched his head, then his chin, finally wearing a knowing expression. He drew out his words dramatically, “Oh, I get it. I get it.”
Of course, he’s an idiot too. Yu Nan hurriedly pushed him out, saying, “If you get it, then that’s great. We’ll be out soon. You go ahead first.”
Just before the door closed, Pei Yunchuan called out, “Make sure to scold him good this time. If he dares to snap at you now, who knows what’ll happen in the future.”
Yu Nan nodded, his mouth full of empty promises, saying he’d definitely scold Bei Yuye more. Only then did Pei Yunchuan leave, satisfied.
“Nan Nan, Bei Bei wants to see you too.”
Yu Nan’s anger surged. That guy had no sense of timing. He opened the bathroom door, and sure enough, Bei Yuye was still leaning there, working himself over with his hands.
Yu Nan stormed over and grabbed his “thing” roughly. Bei Yuye’s expression instantly changed, and he let out a howl, “Ow! Nan Nan, be gentler!”
But after the yelp, his tone shifted again as he reflected, “It kind of feels good though.”
“You have no shame!” After touching him, Yu Nan immediately regretted it and rushed to wash his hands.
Bei Yuye panted softly, “Squeeze it again.”
Their progress felt off. Although things were more open nowadays, Yu Nan still considered himself somewhat conservative—or at least, that’s what he believed. According to his idea of a relationship, kissing should only happen after three months, and anything more intimate should wait until after a year. He scolded himself for what he’d just done.
“I don’t trust you anymore,” he said, poking Bei Yuye on the forehead with his finger.
He didn’t want Bei Yuye pulling the same stunt in public while kissing—that would embarrass not just Bei Yuye, but also himself.
Bei Yuye was sitting, while Yu Nan stood in front of him. To see Yu Nan’s face, Bei Yuye had to look up. He pressed his face into Yu Nan’s chest, whining, “I won’t do it next time. It’s normal, especially in the morning.”
“Hug me, and I’ll be done soon.”
With a fluffy head resting in his chest, Yu Nan couldn’t help but enjoy the view from above, especially since he was fully dressed while Bei Yuye was still a mess. His fingers slid through Bei Yuye’s hair, caressing his head.
“Squeeze… my ear,” Bei Yuye moaned quietly.
Yu Nan’s fingers continued to rub his earlobe, while Bei Yuye freed one hand to pull him closer.
“Don’t touch my butt,” Yu Nan squirmed uncomfortably, feeling ticklish.
Bei Yuye asked, “Can I squeeze it? It’s just that my arm’s naturally around that area in this position.”
Yu Nan didn’t want to spell it out too bluntly. If Bei Yuye had just done it without asking, he might’ve let it slide. But since he asked, the answer was no.
“Aren’t you done yet? Hurry up,” he urged, then suddenly yelped, “Get away from me! That thing just touched my leg.”
Bei Yuye quickly apologized, “My bad, I’ll hold it up.”
Yu Nan just stood there listening to Bei Yuye’s constant chatter. He had to admit, Bei Yuye had some stamina. If it were him talking for that long, his mouth would have dried up long ago.
After a while, Bei Yuye got up, feeling refreshed. He straightened his clothes. It was the first time Nan Nan had stayed by his side, and it made him feel so happy.
Although Nan Nan complained about him, Bei Yuye knew deep down, he loved him. This was the classic case of someone who was tough on the outside but soft on the inside.
“So, are you still going to eat breakfast?” Yu Nan asked, noticing how much time had passed and that the food had gone cold.
“Of course, I’m not picky,” Bei Yuye replied, quickly finishing his breakfast and following him out.
Yu Nan helped him straighten his clothes and ruffled his hair, reminding him, “You need to behave and greet everyone properly, okay?”
He felt a bit nervous about introducing Bei Yuye to everyone, especially since Bei Yuye was always the subject of their gossip. He had previously earned the title “Loyal Guy,” and later, the nickname “Little Claw.”
Sure enough, when Bei Yuye appeared in front of everyone, a chorus of teasing erupted.
“Hello, brothers and sisters,” Bei Yuye said with a big smile, walking behind Yu Nan. Being introduced to his friends confirmed that asking to meet in person was the right decision.
Doggo clapped and kindly said, “They all call me Doggo, so you can too. You call me Doggo, and I’ll call you Affectionate Guy. We can be brothers, alright?”
“Okay, Doggo,” Bei Yuye replied, gripping the hem of Yu Nan’s skirt and acting obediently.
After all the introductions, the next stop was Happy Valley.
Throughout the journey, Bei Yuye stuck to Yu Nan like glue, especially after spotting a high school senior in the group. Wrapping his arm around Yu Nan’s waist in front of him gave him a quiet sense of victory.
“Nan Nan, they’re selling cute little headbands over there,” he said, poking Yu Nan’s belly.
Kitty’s gaze shifted toward the headband stall first. There weren’t many types available, but there was enough to browse. She picked up two cat-ear headbands and called Doggo over.
She plopped one onto his head and laughed, “Now our Doggo is a little kitty too.”
Bei Yuye copied her and grabbed one for himself, placing it on his head. Holding Yu Nan’s hand, he shyly said, “I’m a super cute little kitty too.”
Picture this—a handsome guy wearing an adorable pair of cat ears, holding your hand and acting all cutesy. Who wouldn’t be smitten? Yu Nan definitely was.
Then, Bei Yuye picked up a bunny ear headband and placed it on Yu Nan’s head. The golden wig paired perfectly with the white bunny ears.
Yu Nan’s eyes sparkled as he looked at him, raising both hands to feel the headband on his head. Overwhelmed with excitement, Bei Yuye leaned in and kissed him, causing him to playfully punch him twice.
“There are so many people around! Could you please be more mindful?” Yu Nan scolded, still blushing. Bei Yuye didn’t seem to care about shame, but Yu Nan certainly did.
Bei Yuye reflected, “Alright, I understand.”
But just now, Nan Nan had looked absolutely irresistible. Those big eyes staring straight at him, and that cute little gesture of reaching up to touch his headband—it all made him fall for him even more.
