Gender Reversed Geum Taeyang - Chapter 11
Chapter 11 – Algorithm
Bba-ba-bam~ bba-ba-bam~
A cheerful beat flows from the computer speakers. It’s an idol song that’s now over 10 years old. Originally a famous girl group’s song, it became a boy group’s song in this reversed world, but the characteristic rhythmic progression I listened to when I was young seems unchanged.
Come to think of it, this reversed world has some peculiar aspects.
Some people remain almost unchanged, while others disappear without a trace and are replaced by different people.
There are parts that are almost completely identical to the original world, while other parts are entirely different.
As just a human who was dragged into this reversed world, the reason why is beyond my comprehension. I don’t consider it particularly important, and I couldn’t care less about the truth of this world or whatever. What’s good is good.
I move on to another video after watching one labeled “Work Song.”
Nana~ nananana~ nanana~
A similar screen to the previous video appears. There’s a doll with a vacant expression with its mouth open, and in the background, a mushroom cloud is blooming.
Through the speakers, a promotional song from some mart plays at an insane speed.
What is this?
The view count is around 12 million. The previous video had about 23 million views.
I’ve heard of it before. The thing called the NewTube algorithm.
The NewTube algorithm refers to the system where NewTube’s AI recommends suitable videos to users, and while I don’t know the exact criteria, I know these situations occur occasionally.
Videos completely unrelated to me boldly occupying spots in the recommended video list.
Look at it now, that doll with the bizarre expression that’s managed to secure a place on my YouTube home screen.
And next to that doll thumbnail is… “How Many Chocolates Do You Need to Stop a Gun Bullet?”
Oh my goodness. With the broadcast starting soon, this great technological civilization’s product is successfully tempting me. How could I possibly skip this video?
Finally unable to resist my desires, I watched the 10-minute experiment video and barely managed to start my broadcast on time.
Without getting to watch the video with hundred thousand views that was floating in the related videos list.

[‘Shocking’ The Story of Why France Cried Over Kim Taeyang’s Appearance?!]
Almost perfect for a broadcast title, isn’t it! The fourth broadcast begins with self-praise.
Today, since I spent too much time at the PC bang, I have to do a normal radio broadcast as I couldn’t think of any special content.
The basics of broadcasting is to keep talking so there’s no audio gap. Even if there’s no special reaction from viewers, you have to keep going as if talking to a wall.
Looking ahead, there’s an atmospheric background image with mellow music playing.
The time waiting for viewers to come in after starting the broadcast. In this brief moment of tranquility, I collected my thoughts and quietly prayed. Today, hoping to maintain 70 viewers.
A cute wish that popular streamers with thousands of average viewers might laugh at. But I think it’s a bit excessive for a small-time streamer like me.
Since the last broadcast drew good attention, I think this much is worth expecting. Even so.
But what’s this? The viewer count has already exceeded 40.
??
How is this happening right after starting the broadcast! Am I this good?
It might seem trivial, but it’s not even been 5 minutes since starting the broadcast, and I’m not exactly a streamer with tons of viewers.
Currently, my broadcast has 150 followers. And I remember having about 200 viewers by the end of the last broadcast.
But just because someone follows doesn’t mean they immediately join when the streamer starts broadcasting. It’s fortunate if 30 followers watch during several hours of broadcasting.
Even if the last broadcast was entertaining, those who come back to watch my broadcast again wouldn’t exceed one fourth.
But 40 viewers right as the broadcast starts. No, now it’s 50.
I guess it’s true that my luck improved after coming to the reversed world. I wonder what drew them here today.
-Kumha
-Kumha
-Is this the One Punch Man broadcast?
-Thank fucking god for the algorithm, great eye candy
-Damn, body’s destroyed
-This is why it’s one hit KO
“How come this chat never fails to talk about things I don’t understand, not even for one day.”
-Hehe…!!
-This channel always draws attention
-He looked scary in the video too, for real
-Fr lol
-Fr lol
“No, what’s going on! Why are you all laughing among yourselves? What video are you talking about?”
-A broadcaster who doesn’t even know this
-I think it got over hundred thousand views
-Search ‘Our Neighborhood Fight Legend’ on NewTube
So last time viewers came from a community site, and this time they’re coming from NewTube?
This is my fourth broadcast. Since I haven’t even established myself on TwitchyTV yet, I haven’t paid any attention to NewTube, but suddenly there are viewers saying they came from NewTube.
I’m not quite sure what’s going on… but first I need to find out what that video is.
“Our Neighborhood Fight Legend…”
When I enter the video title that a viewer shared into the NewTube search bar, a video with a rough-looking thumbnail appears at the top of the screen. Seems like they uploaded phone footage directly.
Video title “Our Neighborhood Fight Legend”. 113,098 views. The unedited thumbnail shows a blonde man and two women, with a crowd surrounding them.
“…What is this.”
-?
-LOL what is this LOL
-He really didn’t know LOL
The two women in the thumbnail. How could I forget their intense fashion?
Under Armour clinging to skin showing their figures, and neon green shorts I couldn’t understand, plus cute luxury pouches.
The chubby woman behind them is wearing what’s known to be an expensive luxury cardigan.
The man standing opposite those two women has dark skin and dull blonde hair, with looks that can’t be hidden even by the blurry thumbnail quality. Plus a leather jacket that doesn’t match the increasingly warm weather.
“Eh… is that, watashi?”
-LOLOLOL
-Crazy bitch LOLOLOL
-What have you been up to LOL
-Someone without a NewTube channel hit hundred thousand views LOL
The two thugs I encountered when I went out after buying my mic and webcam. I knew there were many people around when I got into a fistfight with them, but I never thought it would be filmed.
Moreover, seeing people gathering in my broadcast, it seems everyone already knows that man is me.
Is this… the algorithm?
In today’s world where NewTube as a platform is showing explosive growth daily, hundred thousand views might seem small.
But in reality, even surpassing 10,000 views is difficult.
That video will probably help increase my broadcast’s viewer count to some extent… I think.
But why does it have to be a fight video?
In the reversed world, if a man won against two women 2-on-1, they’d probably just react like it’s impressive… but I don’t want my thug image to get too strong.
“Uh… actually that’s not me. They look completely different, that person looks like a thug. Sheesh.”
-?
-?
-Bullshit
-BS
-The hell you saying LOL
-But you look like a thug too LOL
I try to slightly distance myself from it, but the viewers, who have now grown to 70, don’t believe me.
Clicking on the video reveals my appearance even more explicitly.
-That’s totally you LOL
-Acting like you don’t know LOL
-Maybe clear away the leather jacket on your chair before talking LOL
“I mean, it could be someone who looks like me…”
[You look so pathetic, you know? Go to Thailand, get your uterus removed and come back with a dick.]
The man’s voice in the video overlaps with my voice.
No, I don’t want to be labeled as a fighter.
-LOLOLOL
-Savage LOL
-Look how the voices match LOL
“Ah, shit.”
The video shows me striking the thug woman’s chest hard.
HEOKKK-
“Ow.”
-Crazy
-Ah…
-Ouch… aah…
-Damn
-That was too much
“So two women picking a fight with one man isn’t too much?”
-Well that’s true LOL
-A thug picking fights with thugs ^o^
-Why is the host so good at fighting?
-They got one-shot KO’d by a guy
-They probably can’t show their faces in public LOL
The chat room changes with every word. I chew on the starch toothpick I brought from the mart’s food sample corner while rewatching the video. The viewers’ reactions are mostly positive.
-Even thugs do broadcasts these days LOL
Sometimes chats like this pop up one by one, but I ban them with an expressionless face, not feeling much mental impact.
I know best that I’m not a thug, and I’m confident in myself, so what do chats like that matter?
… Well, I might have become somewhat of a thug, but anyway!
Going down to NewTube’s comment section, various reactions catch my eye.
-Such a mancrush, so cool ã… ã… ã…
-The sound is insane LOL Must have hurt so bad LOL
-Losing 2-on-1 to a guy and running away LOL
-‘That fashion’ is just science
ã„´ Fr LOL
ã„´ Fr LOL
ã„´ ‘Those neon shorts’
-That guy looks scary af
ã„´ Isn’t he super handsome?
ã„´ True but damn, almost peed myself
Is this the reversed world? There are surprisingly few responses cursing at me. Though I expected it, it’s still fascinating.
Even people presumed to be men are using the mysterious vocabulary “mancrush.”
“Wow. This isn’t going downhill.”
-Of course it won’t when two women threatened him
-It’s kinda wrong to criticize this
-Thug discipline is so satisfying LOL
It’s literally pleasure without responsibility. Rising without falling. Looks like the broadcast is growing much faster than I expected.
A truly precious opportunity, I need to capture viewers with what they call a fantastic shit show, pouring out all my capabilities!
“Oh my! Discipline. Mancrush. I’m geum Taeyang! Nice to meet you!”
Time to show my charm to the new viewers! Grinning at the unexpected rise, I throw out lines even using formal speech that I don’t usually use.
“Ah right. That video is export prohibited. Please don’t send it to other broadcasts!”
[Export Master donated 1,000 won!]
(hehe sorry oppa)
The mechanical voice reads out the message sent with the donation.
“Oh. Shit.”
My whole body suddenly turns cold.
“Please. Why, what are you sorry for again, please just stop doing things to be sorry about…!”
[Export Video donated 10,000 won!]
A 10,000 won video donation. In the video is a woman watching my fight video.
Her dark blue eyes are ice cold.
“I thought I told you not to send unknown people my videos last time.”
Why did it have to be Rete?
-Oppa I got banned there hehe but I did good right?
The chat from a viewer who invested 50,000 won in me just yesterday and today felt especially harsh today.
