I Was Kidnapped by an Obsessed Yandere Male Lead - ch 1.1 Prologue

Prologue
“Nia, where are you? How about you stop this ridiculous game of hide-and-seek and come out?” It was a pitch-dark night, so dark that even the moon seemed afraid and hid behind the clouds. Selenia was hiding behind a ruined stone wall, barely managing to hold her breath. One of her hands was still shackled to a chain. If she moved even a little wrongly, the long chain would rattle, making a sharp noise. From her perspective, this was a life-or-death escape. If she were caught by him again, she would never escape. Selenia gripped the torn edges of her skirt with trembling hands. Rustle rustle— The sound of footsteps came closer, crunching through the tall grass, which had grown up to her ankles. She knew it was over. She was about to be caught again. Tears filled her eyes as she squeezed them shut. “Hello, my mistress. Long time no see.” Selenia’s head jerked up at the sound of a familiar voice, softly whispering in her ear. Just then, the clouds that had been hiding the moon began to part. The man’s silver-white hair shimmered in the moonlight, fluttering gently in the breeze. His red eyes glowed like rubies, and as their gazes met, his eyes curved into crescents, like a crescent moon. “You were so confident when you kidnapped me. Now look at you. How heart-wrenching.” *Why is this man here?* Selenia froze, a mix of confusion and fear surging through her, worried that her location might be revealed to Pluto, who was still chasing her. “Should I save you? Just say the word. Tell me you want me to save you. I’ll take you to a place where he can’t find you.” After barely escaping from her captor, a man she had previously kidnapped was suddenly offering to save her. Selenia thought quickly. If she were caught by Pluto, she would be locked away in that secret room in his castle and slowly wither away to death. But could she trust this man to improve her situation? She wasn’t sure. Would he actually save her? He might hate her so much that he would want to kill her. “I won’t hurt you. So, come with me.” As if he had read her mind, he whispered sweetly into her ear, making it hard to refuse. “All you have to say, Mistress, is, ‘Please save me from that man.’ Come on, say it.” He urged her with a soft, gentle voice, extending his hand. It felt like the whisper of a demon, seducing her with a dangerously tempting proposal. Selenia bit her lower lip. The man in front of her, as though urging her to act, wiggled his fingers. It felt like he was saying, “Hurry up and take my hand.” “P-please save me from that man!” In the end, Selenia took the man’s hand. The original story was already ruined, and her life had fallen apart. So now, it was all or nothing. As she spoke, Louis seemed satisfied, smiling broadly and narrowing his eyes. At the same moment, Selenia lost consciousness. * * * When Selenia opened her eyes again, she found herself lying on a strange bed in an unfamiliar room. “Are you awake? You must have been really tired.” Selenia jumped, startled, and turned her head. Louis was lying next to her, propping his head up with one arm, looking down at her. “Where… where am I?” “This is my room. It’s safe here, so you can relax.” “Ah…” Selenia sat up from the bed, tossing her hair back. As she lowered her head absentmindedly, she froze in shock and looked back at Louis. “W-what happened to my clothes…? Did you, no, did Louis change them for me?” “Hmmm, I wonder…” Selenia widened her eyes in shock, and Louis chuckled softly, as if he found her reaction amusing. She glanced down at the unfamiliar nightgown-like dress she was wearing, pulling back the blanket, only to discover that the hem barely reached her calves. Blushing, she immediately covered herself with the blanket again. “After everything I’ve already seen, you’re still embarrassed? How cute.” *He’s seen everything! What if someone overhears? Wait… but didn’t I see him too?* Selenia thought back to the first time she saw him, the day she had arrived in this world. Louis had been lying beneath her, trembling in fear, completely naked, with a black leather collar around his neck. He had been looking up at her, teary-eyed and sobbing. Selenia shuddered as the memory resurfaced.
