It's a Gender-Reversed World, But I Don't Go Out Anyway - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Forum Post
* * *
“What the hell is this?”
When I woke up, the community forum was in complete chaos.
To be honest, it was always chaotic. But today, posts marked with (NSFW) or (19+) were about ten times more chaotic than usual.
Let’s look at the post with the highest views and upvotes right now.
The title was [NSFW Warning) New Streamer Who Just Started Broadcasting].
Without a second thought, I clicked on the post that used the “NSFW” cheat key early in the morning. In my mind, I had already imagined a beautiful woman doing a webcam broadcast, getting startled by sudden donations[1], and overreacting a bit.
I didn’t realize that having expectations would lead to betrayal.
“Aaack!”
What greeted me upon clicking was the image of a man wearing an overly tight swimsuit. He had slathered what seemed like all the oil in the world on his body, with a shiny swimsuit, a disgusting seductive expression, and the swimsuit clinging so tightly that the outline of his genitals was clearly visible—it was truly a scene from hell.
Suppressing the strong urge to punch my monitor, I screamed with that same anger.
“Ugh! This is seriously disgusting!”
While grimacing, I scrolled down wanting to see the reactions of other victims who, like me, had fallen for the NSFW bait. But instead of the expected flood of curses in the comments section, there were unexpected responses:
[From now on, you’re the only one allowed to post]
[Suddenly it’s so hot, I need to lock my door for about an hour.]
[Look at those pecs… damn you…]
[Hehe… Thank you for this morning blessing…]
[His Instagram must be fire]
ㄴ[sauce?]
ㄴ[sauce?]
ㄴ[Does he even have Instagram?]
ㄴ[Nah, he doesn’t, I just said that]
ㄴ[Are you crazy?]
[Heung… oppa…]
ㄴ[He’s 23, so you’re probably his noona]
ㄴ[If he’s handsome, he’s oppa]
ㄴ[75-year-old Kim Boksoon: Heung… oppa]
[Is that a watermelon or a chest?]
ㄴ[Those are pecs]
ㄴ[Perfect answer lol]
“What’s wrong with these bastards today?”
I checked the site again, but it didn’t seem like I’d gone to the wrong place. Just yesterday, except for gym bros, everyone would curse at male exposure, but why were they acting crazy now?
Moreover, in a community site that was 99% male, what’s with all this “oppa” talk? It seemed like everyone had lost their minds overnight.
Wondering if it was just this post, I checked other posts too.
The situation was the same.
Whether marked as NSFW or mild NSFW, even the artwork—everything featured men in suggestive poses and outfits. Just looking at it made me dizzy.
It wasn’t just the community posts; the news was in a serious state too.
When I checked the international football news I occasionally followed, all news about men’s football teams had disappeared, replaced entirely with stories about women’s football teams. There were even numerous news articles about women using drugs to kidnap and sexually assault men.
A woman using drugs to sexually assault a man?
Plus, though it might be insensitive to say about a victim, honestly, the man didn’t seem handsome enough to prompt such a serious crime. Even before considering his looks, the victim was a man in his 40s. The perpetrator was a woman in her 20s, and though she wasn’t wearing makeup, she was naturally pretty.
Seeing this, I was certain. This wasn’t the world I knew. It seemed I had somehow ended up in a gender-reversed world that I’d only seen in manga and novels.
After realizing this, my first thought was:
“So what?”
While I had various feelings about being in a reversed world, thinking about it carefully, what would really change?
Just because I’m in a reversed world, would I, who spends about 300 days out of 365 days lazing around at home, suddenly go outside? Even if I did go out, would I meet women? A man who stays home 300 days a year is the epitome of purity—the type who experiences brain freeze when asked about hairstyles at the salon. Talking to women? I’m already feeling suffocated just thinking about it.
Rather, since I’m in a new world, I could see myself becoming even more of a shut-in, searching for new YouTubers, new broadcasts, streamers, and researching about this changed world on sites like Namu Wiki[2].
Speaking of which, I naturally typed ‘T’ in the address bar. The usual streaming site address starting with T didn’t appear. Feeling disappointed that it might have disappeared due to the world change, I directly typed in “Twis.”
“Real life? To me, streaming is murder…”
Though the broadcasters had changed a lot, the familiar purple website that remained unchanged reassured me. I quickly created an ID and searched various games to make a new follow list. Of course, it was mainly games I played—League of Legends or Overwatch.
That’s when a particular broadcaster caught my eye.
3,000 viewers. She seemed quite popular, and while she was playing LoL now, she apparently played all sorts of games like Hearthstone, PUBG, StarCraft, and more usually. But despite playing many games, she wasn’t particularly skilled at any of them. So the chat was mostly filled with mocking messages like “you’re so bad at gaming” and sarcastic comments.
But whether she had incredibly strong mental fortitude or was just thick-skinned, the woman spoke without losing confidence.
“This is just support diff[3], okay? I played well~”
She said this and pressed tab to show the score: (1/7/2) 1 kill, 7 deaths, 2 assists. The support had 1 kill, 2 deaths, 3 assists, showing decent performance with consistent roaming contributions to the team. While KDA doesn’t tell the whole story, with these stats, you couldn’t blame the support. Naturally, the chat erupted even more, and some even sent harsh messages through donations. For reference, the atmosphere seemed to allow outright cursing if you donated more than 10,000 won[4], so the donation messages were extremely harsh.
[CursesAtCrazyBitchesLikeADog has donated 10,000 won.]
Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch. Woof. Woof woof. Woof. F*cking b*tch.
[HumanAnalyzer has donated 10,000 won.]
After 3 months of observation, this b*stard has been confirmed to be not human but a beast worse than a dog.
[LOL how could this b*stard be human~]
[Getting emotionally manipulated and throwing donations again?]
[This is really a pig-dog for real lol]
[The pig here is you.]
[Where do you live?]
[Looking at how you figured that out, you must live nearby?]
[And where do you live?]
At this point, I suspected she might be deliberately annoying viewers to collect money.
While such harsh donations might upset someone, the woman instead grinned and said “Ah, 10,000 won is so sweet~” while opening her mouth and approaching the camera for a reaction. When her crimson mouth filled the camera, the chat responded with genuine disgust, but—
“Oh…”
I found it quite good. No, I actually liked it. Checking the streamer’s name after hitting follow, it was [name]. Though viewers seemed to just call her Nyeon-hui. When she showed disgusting behavior like just now, they’d add insults in front. Like “Crazy-Nyeon-hui” or “Dog-Nyeon-hui.”
[This b*stard acts up even when given money]
[???: This b*stard hates doing anything]
[Mentioning TAS is a ban, congrats on graduating]
[Is that what your father always says to you? Is your father a streamer too?]
[You said TAS but why streamer? Could it be a stri*per.]
“Oh f*ck, stop fighting, I banned both of you.”
[? I didn’t get banned though?]
“I let you off because the stri*per joke was funny.”
[You banned the one who got insulted about their family, and let the one who made the insult live? Is this real?]
[My chest feels grand]
[Acting tough when you don’t even have a chest to feel grand about]
Anyway, watching personal broadcasts was still fun in this changed world. Originally, I planned to just browse casually to see how things had changed here, but before I knew it, I had mindlessly watched until the end of one League game.
“Wow, I really carried. You all agree, right?”
[Wow I really need to take a dump;;]
[???: (2/7/9) KDA: Carried?]
[Showed damage graph for a second, saw it was last place, quickly switched screens and claims carried, is this even human…?]
[The blonde taeyang KDA now even steals credit for carrying lol]
While chuckling at the heated atmosphere in the chat, a thought suddenly occurred to me.
“Should I try streaming?”
Though I had tried once before and failed miserably, that was before this reversed world. While there was no guarantee I’d do well streaming in this reversed world, it was worth trying.
The broadcast setup didn’t take long. Not only did I have previous experience, but it seemed the broadcasting program had been upgraded, making it much simpler to set up than before. I had already decided on the content: variety gaming.
Originally, I only played League and Overwatch, but I planned to switch between various games depending on the situation to gather viewers.
The important things would be the nickname and broadcast title. I chose a simple nickname: Daeju. It was the name of a dog we used to keep at grandmother’s countryside house. When I went down this year, it was gone, and I started to ask about its whereabouts but got scared of hearing the answer and stopped.
The title was important.
Since it was a stream without a webcam starting with LoL or Overwatch, games that already had many streamers, I needed to create some clickbait title.
[Male Stream Day 1] Hung Shota Ezreal Main[5]
“This should definitely get attention.”
