It's a Gender-Reversed World, But I Don't Go Out Anyway - Chapter 22
Chapter 22: Advertisement Request
[This guy seems to have an issue with his taste buds]
Bibim naengmyeon beat pizza to advance, now the top 4 are jjajangmyeon, ramen, bibim naengmyeon, and kalguksu. No matter how much you love noodles, this is too much. This guy’s brain must be made of udon noodles too, someone please check
[Comments]
– I can accept jjajangmyeon and ramen being up there due to nostalgia + being fundamental foods, but how did bibim naengmyeon and kalguksu make it to top 4 beating samgyeopsal, chicken, pizza, and sushi?
– Did some yellow mutt reincarnate as a human?
ㄴ Even mutts don’t eat noodles, they eat rice saying Korean dogs live on rice power lol
– Unsubscribed and left a hate comment first thing
– But it would’ve been boring if samgyeopsal or chicken predictably got first place
ㄴ That’s true, but there’s a line you shouldn’t cross ffs
– Back then crazy people = went to hospital, These days crazy people = do broadcasts
ㄴ Facts
ㄴ Can’t deny that…

“Lots of emails came in…”
I received various emails after starting YouTube. Most were absurd contents, like collab requests. Why absurd? Because the other party had less than 100 subscribers.
Subscribers aren’t everything but… at least they should write what kind of content they want to do before I’d be interested. Just sending requests out of nowhere honestly doesn’t appeal to me.
There were also emails asking to use my videos and even simple sexual harassment emails. They sure send such emails freely without even knowing what I look like.
Among them, there were occasionally some important emails.
“Game advertisement?”
The email had the name of a famous game company. I checked if it was fake or not but.
“Why? Just why?”
It was real.
It said they were requesting famous Twis streamers to promote their upcoming new game, and I was one of them.
“Famous Twis streamer…”
With an average of 800 viewers, I certainly wasn’t small-time. No, being called a famous streamer made me feel somewhat tickled.
“The advertising broadcast fee is… o-one…?”
There was an amount written that I’d never seen in my bank account before. Though I’d been earning well recently thanks to streaming, honestly speaking, with editor’s salary + monthly rent and maintenance fee for the studio apartment + expenses like air conditioning, I only had around 400,000 won of disposable funds in my account.
But suddenly there was an advertising fee of 1 million won written.
I thought it was too much money for a streamer like me, but when I checked the email again it was real, creating this bizarre situation, so I made a post.

[How much do other streamers get paid for ads?]
This seems like it was sent by mistake. Can’t tell you what ad or how much, but it’s not an amount a streamer with 800 viewers should get
[Comments]
– You’re getting ads too? Daeju you’re doing too well… If you’re gonna be that successful, keep me as a pet… I don’t have picky eating habits and I’m good with pee pads
ㄴ Why are you “good with” them you crazy girl;;
ㄴ Keep me too~
– Don’t know details but heard someone with a million subscribers gets over 20 million won for 1 hour ad broadcast plus YouTube archive
– 800 average viewers is high though. Don’t know the amount but should be getting quite a bit?
– Isn’t Daeju getting more because he has no agency? Getting all the money himself instead of having to split with an agency.
ㄴ That makes sense

Looking into the details, my conditions were also 1 hour broadcast + uploading a YouTube video. If it wasn’t a scam, I definitely wanted to accept it. What I was worried about was….
“My chat isn’t really suitable for advertisements.”
Would it be okay if I ask them to behave since it’s an ad?
No, no matter how many times I simulated it in my head, all I could see was hell.
For now, I replied to the email accepting it. Until they let me know the ad broadcast schedule, I’ll need to think of a solution for the chat problem.
As always, I started the broadcast today.
[You’re here]
[Oh lol]
[Who do we have here, the next McCol model Daeju?]
[What are you saying lol He’s obviously a Sol’s Eye model lol]
As soon as I started streaming, they were talking about the advertisement I mentioned. Most were people who wanted to make fun of my taste buds, but honestly I didn’t mind.
“No matter what you guys say, my taste won’t change.”
[Just change it]
[Does this guy think we’re joking when we call him a mutt lol]
[Fr we’re being serious lol]
[But what ad is it really?]
I wondered if I should tell them.
Considering that ads are meant for promotion, I thought maybe I should mention it, but I was worried about making that judgment on my own. But it should be fine to just vaguely mention the genre, right?
“Um… game. Like a mobile game.”
[Is it a new release?]
[New release? That one from Nexon?][1]
[Weeb + auto-battle game?]
[Wow… Nexon + auto-battle + weeb, this is definitely one to avoid]
“H-hey! Are these people crazy!”
I shouted in panic without realizing.
Why? Well obviously because that was exactly the game that requested me for advertising. An auto-battle game made by the giant game company Nexon… in their introduction it was written as ‘an unprecedented large-scale RPG game!’
Not sure about the weeb part, but the screen was full of handsome male characters.
[This guy’s reaction… maybe…?]
[Ah I misspoke lol I meant to say this is definitely one to try lol]
[I accidentally said auto-battle when I meant ultra-high-performance AI combat system…]
[Nexon is Korea’s greatest game company.]
The viewers who caught on ghost-quick threw up shields for me faster than I could. Honestly I was worried they’d race towards making the chat even more chaotic, but contrary to that, they acted differently from usual to help me out.
Maybe I won’t need to worry about the chat during the advertisement.
[But… that Maple game’s patch was weird…]
[Oh that game?]
[Honestly the cash shop pressure is pretty harsh]
[Isn’t Nexon the #1 reason kids steal their parents’ wallets?]
[Guys wake up for Daeju’s sake]
That’s when someone threw in the dynamite.
At first only a few people made negative comments but-
[F**k you Nexon bastards, you gonna throw away your #1 game?]
[These guys are really crazy lol what kind of game company are they lol just thugs extorting money]
[Is there another game company that has TWO public interest games?!]
[Guys don’t hate too much Daeju’s gonna cry lol]
Honestly since I’ve been gaming since I was young, I knew about Nexon too so I couldn’t really defend them. Well, that’s because I agreed with most of what was being said, and it was the truth.
But, if that Nexon becomes my ad sponsor, that’s a different story.
This is a chance to get back the money I’ve spent since childhood. A whole million won at that!
“This won’t do, loading the machine gun”
[Tremble tremble tremble tremble]
[Sorry sorry sorry sorry I just got too immersed because Maple Story was so fun]
[I’m going crazy I’m going crazy]
[Nexon is god and I am a water deer[2]. Nexon is god and I am a water deer.]
They always have ghost-quick instincts so when I mention banning, apologies come first. At this point it’s almost a reflex. Every time this happens I feel annoyed thinking they should’ve just behaved from the start.
So I banned the viewer who brought up Maple Story. They were the starting point of this whole situation, and seeing how they were ghost-quick with instincts and were the first to apologize despite being the one who brought up that game, it seemed like they intended to cause chaos, which made me more annoyed.
Looking at the somewhat cleaned up chat, I said.
“I did get that ad offer but I’m not sure when I’ll do the ad broadcast.”
[So master also succumbed to money…]
[But are there any streamers who don’t succumb to money?]
[True that?]
[Perfectly normal Daeju]
“So what should we do today?”
[You should’ve decided that.]
[Oppa why do we always have to plan the date course?]
[League?]
[Editor: Ideal type world cup? YouTube worthy.]
That’s when the editor’s chat suddenly popped up.
Other viewers checked the editor’s ID and showed strong hostility towards the editor. It seemed to be because of that break incident. But then they also write posts praising this video’s editing as fun on the board, so I couldn’t tell if they liked or disliked the editor.
[What ideal type world cup.]
[Game game game game]
[Let’s strip Daeju of his gamer streamer title, and his ju-ji too]
[But can’t deny it’s YouTube worthy.]
“I’ll do the ideal type world cup”
Rather than listening because it was the editor, I went along because they said it would be YouTube worthy, but there was no reason to refuse anyway. And no matter what game or activity, they always complain before starting but once we begin everyone enjoys it.
Of course, being toxic, they would say it wasn’t fun at all after enjoying everything when it ends.
[This isn’t it?]
[Ideal type world cup? What’s the topic?]
[Fr the topic makes it heaven or hell]
While looking around what to do, I saw female streamer ideal type world cup ranked 3rd in popularity, and clicked it mindlessly.
[Oh lololololol]
[We’ll see Daeju’s taste in women]
[First gonna raid whoever wins lol]
[Ah… I’m a streamer too what if I win lol]
It felt like I’d clicked on Pandora’s box.
