It's a Gender-Reversed World, But I Don't Go Out Anyway - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Collecting Ideas
* * *
[Hey, did Daeju end his stream early?]
I downloaded the game and took a shower planning to snipe him, but the stream’s off? Did he just do like 2 PUBG matches and leave?
[Comments]
– Today he did an ad stream, filmed YouTube reaction content, downloaded PUBG while chatting, so the stream was actually pretty long
ㄴ Other streamers stream for like 12 hours though, he’s really slacking
– But since he doesn’t stream long, when he does go live you can’t help but watch lol
ㄴ Ah yeah can’t miss the live streams lol
ㄴ You can just watch the VOD though.
ㄴ You gotta watch both live AND VODs, what kind of fake Big Package Squad are you?

“Wow, it looks really natural…”
The editor must have stayed up all night editing after the ad stream. As soon as I woke up in the morning, the editor sent me the final ad video for review.
Maybe it was because I didn’t have my cam on, but it looked even more natural. I guess not having the cam was good in this case. It really looked like I was genuinely happy about pulling a 5-star. Though if you think about it, who would be this excited about a 5-star in a gacha game that goes up to 6 stars.
Satisfied with the result, I sent the editor an extremely happy animal emoji.
With this level of effort, maybe the sponsor will appreciate my work and grace me with more ad deals in the future.
Though I’ve been streaming diligently lately, growth has been somewhat stagnant. Of course, that’s just by my standards – having around 900 average viewers in this timeframe is actually incredible growth. Still, human greed knows no bounds, and I wanted to grow just a bit more to break through the 1000 average viewer barrier.
I honestly wasn’t too concerned about YouTube subscribers. That’s because most of my income still comes from Twis, and while Twis requires my direct attention, YouTube has my reliable editor’s editing skills behind it, so I felt it would grow eventually. Even if it didn’t do well, I could just blame it on the editing, so there was less pressure.
…Even I think it’s really cowardly, but thinking this way helps me feel better.
“Hmm… What should I stream today…?”
Most streamers have their own fixed content, but for me, well, besides browsing Tgether, I honestly don’t know.
Then suddenly it hit me what to do.

[Daeju’s Content Created By You All]
Submit content ideas and Daeju will try them out.
Conditions:
1. Content that won’t cause controversy
2. Good potential for YouTube clips preferred
3. Better if it’s comfortable for me
[Comments]
– Condition 1 is pretty harsh…
– Summary: I’m lazy so use your brains to carry my stream
– Honestly with your current fame level, turning on cam would be perfect – good for YouTube clips, just showing your face so it’s easy
ㄴ But after showing face it’d be scary to get sexually harassed
ㄴ Wait shouldn’t you be scared of sexual harassment regardless of showing face or not?
ㄴ Where would you find someone that sensible on Daeju’s Tgether?
ㄴ FR lol
– I have a good idea, gonna write a post
***
“And I’ll just stream while reading viewer content submissions.”
Even I thought it was a perfect plan.
Surely it’s okay to coast through one day of streaming?
I prepared and started the stream.
Title: Browsing Viewer Content Ideas.
“Hello everyone.”
[Hi]
[You came? You’re late today…]
[He came at the same time as usual though?]
[Why are you nitpicking — if I say he’s late, he’s late]
[How is that logical;;]
True to the stream title, I opened Tgether to check how many posts had been written. While viewer growth was starting to stagnate a bit, this Tgether board’s population kept growing. These days, there were even more posts about general community topics rather than just about me.
I wonder if eventually this Tgether’s user count won’t surpass my average stream viewers?
Anyway, whether it was overflowing with ideas or just attention-seekers trying to get on stream, there were quite a few idea posts visible.
“Shall we look at them one by one?”
[Starting with otaku games right away;;]
[Pretty boy gacha game? Back to gacha?]
[Last time was an ad so you pulled with their money lol would Daeju really do male character gacha? lol]
[Maybe Daeju actually likes guys]
“Don’t say weird things. I like women too.”
[How shy ^^]
[He said he likes women, why are you getting shy?]
[Strong denial means what? Strong affirmation~]
[We understand]
The first game was a mobile game featuring pretty boys. Looking it up, it was a popular game ranking in the top 10 grossing. Come to think of it, in my previous world, games with pretty girls also ranked high in grossing. So it wasn’t incomprehensible.
But do I want to play it?
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind whether it had pretty boys or not if the game was fun, but just looking at it, there didn’t seem to be any unique or particularly enjoyable elements, so I’d have to try it to know.
“On hold for now”
[Oh? On hold?]
[Does that mean he’ll do it later?]
[It’s high in grossing rankings so it’s popular, he’s just saying on hold because he doesn’t want to criticize it]
[No I’m telling you Daeju likes guys]
The second wasn’t a game recommendation but literally a content suggestion.
***
[Phone calls with viewers]
You know, that thing male streamers often do.
Wouldn’t it be fun if Daeju also talked with viewers, whether for advice or just chatting?
[Comments]
– Sounds fun but this guy’s too shy to do it
ㄴ Bet he’d be Yeoho[1] in his room though
ㄴ Didn’t he do fine with Yeonhee that time? Even MCed and everything
ㄴ That was because Yeonhee was so nervous Daeju had no choice but to lead
– Won’t work with toxic Big Package Squad
– But male streamers and Daeju are different situations right? Male streamers’ viewers pretend to be normal while being toxic, we’re just openly toxic, if we do phone dating, whew…
***
“This one’s also on hold”
[Everything’s on hold]
[Honestly this one makes sense to put on hold]
[Things too wasteful to throw away but awkward to do]
Phone dating.
Not bad, but it felt somewhat lacking as content. Honestly, for the stream to be entertaining, it would be too much of a gamble to just hope for fun viewers to call in.
Plus, I’d rather just play games than stream while talking to strangers on the phone?
Just thinking about it made me tired.
“Next”
***
[Easy money, Normie[2] Gold Mine]
Since its release, Minecraft has always been one of the top gaming broadcasts both domestically and internationally.
The only way for Daeju’s YouTube and streams to become world-class is to stream the normie gold mine Minecraft.
How about trying it with 100 or more viewer participants?
If you’re going to do it, I can set up the server for you ^^
[Comments]
– Tch, Minecraft…
– Honestly don’t really like Minecraft but it’s fun to watch
– Viewer participation is somewhat tempting but 100 Big Package Squad members server?
– Why are people liking this? Minecraft’s nothing special honestly
ㄴ It’s because everyone’s played it before
ㄴ It is a YouTube cheat key lol
– Why is Minecraft a normie[3] game? It’s an adult game
ㄴ Right;;; It’s too risque;;
ㄴ Like animals breeding and giving birth TT
ㄴ lololol breeding lmao
***
“Minecraft?”
Like most gamers, I’d definitely played it at least once. Though all I did was play casually with friends for a few hours a day for about a week, but it was definitely good that I could do something together with multiple viewers.
Plus, if you have recognition, Minecraft was a good game for many people to watch. The entry barrier was much lower compared to other games, it wasn’t violent, and it wasn’t risque… either. There had been various controversies recently but well, that didn’t matter. Someone even volunteered to set up the server so it was comfortable and
“This might be worth trying later?”
[Big Package Squad… assemble]
[We’ll turn it into a real adult game when we gather]
[Viewers who can prove gaming is a disease]
[And Daeju who has them.]
Many more good ideas came after that.
Maybe it wasn’t for nothing that they watch streams all day – there were many excellent ideas. The bad point was that because they watch so many streams, there were often ideas taken from others.
Looking at the conclusion, the first three posts were the most feasible.
Among them, what people had the highest expectations for was naturally Minecraft.
“Wow, unexpectedly popular?”
I thought it would be far from my room’s viewers since it’s called a kid’s, no, a normie game, but surprisingly it wasn’t. Of course, they didn’t exactly love it but. They didn’t completely hate it either.
[Minecraft is actually just for chatting while playing so doesn’t matter]
[Want to see 100 Big Package Squad members gather lol]
[Might be fun thinking about corrupting normies if they come to the stream lol]
[We’re cultivating future Big Package Squad members.]
[Ok lol come for Minecraft, instantly corrupted into Big Package Squad member]
It seemed they were expecting the side effects to be more fun than the game itself.
Well, that figures.
“Then shall we gather lightly today for a taste? With building?”
I asked the person who wrote the post to set up the server and started gathering participants one by one.

(End of Chapter)
T/N:
1. “Yeoho” (여포) is a reference to Lu Bu, a Chinese historical figure known for being fierce in battle, implying he acts tough when alone.
2. I translated “잼순이” (jaemsuni) (which is a somewhat derogatory term) to “normie”.
3. “잼순이” (jaemsuni) which is a play on words combining “잼민이” (Jaem-min-ie, meaning kid) and “순이” (Soon-ie, a traditional Korean girl’s name often used to mean “simple/naive girl”). It’s used somewhat derogatorily to refer to young/casual gamers, particularly young girls who play “simple” games like Minecraft.
