It's a Gender-Reversed World, But I Don't Go Out Anyway - Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Promises Are Meant to Be Kept
***
To be honest, Caitlyn wasn’t among the better champions—at least not in the current meta. Among ADCs, she could be considered decent against characters with extremely long range and powerful burst damage, but she lacked synergy with mythic items—the highest-tier items that characters could only possess one of.
Still, I chose Caitlyn for my most important promotion match because the enemy team’s ADC was Vayne. The ill-fated ADC Caitlyn was historically known as Vayne’s counter. The strategy was simple: whenever the opponent came forward to get CS, consistently landing Caitlyn’s passive headshots would make Vayne suffer.
What if Vayne, unable to endure it anymore, tries to trade damage?
If Caitlyn maintains proper distance while attacking, Vayne would just keep taking hits before getting caught in a trap or Caitlyn’s E-skill that allows simultaneous movement and attack, sending her straight to the grave.
In conclusion, Vayne was in hell whether she tried to engage or not.
[The enemy Vayne seems to be having the time of her life]
[Is she actually trying to die?]
[Unnie, this bastard is crying!]
The enemy support was Alistar. While he was a champion known for delivering CC hell with his dash and airborne combo, he struggled against Caitlyn’s traps and long range. More importantly, with Vayne’s HP in such a state, he couldn’t even attempt to engage.
[Vayne: This is such a fucking broken champion]
Unable to hold back, Vayne complained about Caitlyn’s broken nature in all chat. From Vayne’s perspective, this reaction wasn’t unreasonable. After all, Caitlyn was Vayne’s historic counter pick—how could it not feel that way?
However, such all chat messages only served to lower the enemy team’s morale.
While Vayne might feel Caitlyn’s pain, how would their Silver-ranked teammates who don’t understand ADCs react?
[Alistar: This bitch is getting destroyed and calling others broken]
[Xex: Just hold on, I said I’ll carry, but bot is already losing it lol]
[Vayne: ffs lol, I’m telling you Vayne can’t even approach, you idiots?]
“Why do they curse? I really don’t understand”
[?]
[Ultimately it’s because you bullied Vayne]
“But I was just playing the game seriously, I didn’t hit Vayne to make them curse”
[Just like how a car running a red light was just trying to go fast, not trying to hit someone]
[Trying to go fast? wtf;;]
“That’s how you make comparisons? Go reflect for 10 minutes”
Starting with Vayne’s comment, the enemy team began fighting in all chat. Meanwhile, the CS difference between Vayne and me was 9 versus 27. With nearly a triple difference, the enemy Xex didn’t miss the chance to point this out.
[Xex: fk this spoon-fed bitch, triple CS difference is this real? lol really don’t want to play with this bug]
[Xex: This is why I hate spoon-fed bitches lol when they’re bad it’s support’s fault, team’s fault, champion’s fault but when they’re good it’s their own skill]
“Oh, coming on strong?”
[But everything they said is true lol]
[Everything’s true? You’re top, right?]
[I’m mid but everything seems true]
[Vayne: Want to make the game unplayable?]
[Xex: Sure~ daddy~ This is just my alt anyway~ Go ahead and throw, spoon-fed bitch lol]
“Wow, you’re going to stay calm after seeing that chat? An ADC has their pride, let’s not hold back!”
[fr lol if we let this slide these thugs will get worse habits]
[Vayne, let’s roll forward with style!]
[Wait, is it right for a streamer to encourage throwing the game?]
[Heard he’s banning pad jokes from today too]
[What’s Vayne waiting for, roll forward!]
Encouraged by many viewers, Vayne lived up to expectations and rolled right over my trap. I grinned and unleashed attacks at my maximum speed, and a sound echoed throughout the rift.
[First Blood!]
“That’s right! Vayne, an ADC has their pride!”
[Alistar is shocked and standing still for like 10 seconds]
[This two-faced cow lol acting crazy then meeting a real crazy one and getting surprised, how cute]
[*sigh* Is this really Silver? The plays are difficult to handle]
[Vayne with the quick return meta dd;;]
[This really can’t be stopped.]
[Xex: That b*tch]
[Xex has been executed!]
Seemingly impressed by this display, Xex ran straight into the top turret. After a brief but fierce duel with the tower that ended in death, Alistar typed in chat.
[Alistar: F*ck…]
[Vayne: Please report Alistar for verbal abuse]
“Wow, this is messy.”
It’s amazing how shameless humans can be, but thinking about it, I’ve seen this quite often while playing LoL. Is this the reality of Korea’s most popular game?
[That Vayne bastard makes me want to punch her in the chest]
[The streamer here seems like a good person]
[That’s not true]
[If that’s how she appears to you, you should visit an eye doctor]
After that, Xex and Vayne bought items that gave the most movement speed and threw at high speed, and the game pathetically ended with a surrender at 15 minutes.
[Victory!]
“We won, but I really don’t understand why they throw”
[Look at this bastard saying he doesn’t understand while his voice has laughter in it]
[First time watching but this is really disgusting]
[Our streamer is pretty disgusting, right?]
I quickly reported both Vayne and Xex. The report reason was “Negative Attitude – Verbal Abuse – Hate Speech.”
There’s a theory that reports are more effective if you select these three options, so most LoL players click these three when reporting.
They may have handed me a victory, but I reported them right away because I’d hate to have them on my team.
“I’ve reported Vayne and Xex, now we can move on to the next game.”
[Daeju wait stop for a sec]
[Stop!]
[Juji tak dae juji tak dae]
[Check friend requests gogogo]
When I paused due to the sudden increase in viewers and messages telling me to stop, I noticed a familiar username among several friend requests.
“Ah right, I was supposed to play with Yeonhee”
[This money-hungry bastard forgot about Yeonhee after getting 100,000 won]
[Yeonhee just ended up paying money to a host lol agree?]
[I also want to be abandoned while being coldly stared at by Daeju, anyone else agree? I’ll go first]
[Sure]
[Sure]
“Come on, when did I forget? I just momentarily blanked out~”
[?]
[?]
[? Isn’t that forgetting?]
[Lacking sensitivity, saying you just blanked out?]
[Ah I almost made a dad joke too, blanking out that we’re banning those today lol]
“Hey, put question marks and I’ll hang you upside down”
[¿]
[¿]
[¡]
[But isn’t it a reward if Daeju hangs us upside down?]
[fr possible for 10 hours too lol]
Where they found inverted question and exclamation marks from, they never just let anything slide.
It felt like talking to a very particular 5-year-old. It was a bit concerning that the kid was somewhat perverted, but thinking about how these chat messages were being written by women to a man made me feel like I’d really come to a crazy world. So I said one thing.
“You crazy bitches…”
[Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.]
[Oh lol giving us a reward without even getting a donation]
[Sigh~ Happy to be called a crazy bitch, I’ve already unhooked my bra but just know I’m different from you all.]
[Why did you unhook it you crazy bitch]
Leaving behind the insane chat, I accepted Yeonhee’s friend request and immediately received a message with a ding sound. When I checked, it seemed Yeonhee had just started streaming too. As expected of a major company, she already surpassed 1,000 viewers right after starting, and some sharp viewers came to my stream, pushing my viewership past 150.
It was a frightening growth rate, but just a temporary viewer buff. I shouldn’t forget that most of these viewers were Yeonhee’s viewers.
Checking the chat, the content was like this:
[Yeonhee: Congratulations on your first promotion win! Do you use Discord?]
“Oh, looks like you watched the promotion match”
The Discord I had installed just in case was about to shine. While viewers said I had forgotten about Yeonhee, I had actually finished all preparations after receiving the donation and ending the stream that day.
For reference, Discord is a program with various SNS functions in addition to voice chat. Most streamers used it.
After sharing my ID, I was quickly friend requested and invited to several rooms, including what seemed to be a Discord server with various streamers.
I was taken aback for a moment, but since I could leave whenever I wanted, I went along with it and entered one of the voice channels where Yeonhee was already present.
“We’re really doing this together today, Nick!”
“Nick?”
As soon as I entered with a ding sound, Yeonhee’s enthusiastic voice suddenly stopped. The last sound heard was her saying “Nick,” and while viewers who knew the situation found it amusing, the chat was being flooded with laughter.
[Crazy bitch lol suddenly hits the brakes mid-sentence out of surprise lol]
[fr lol beats up viewers but becomes a gentle lamb in front of a man lol]
[Our Yeonhee is cute, right?]
[Nope]
[Not at all]
[Breaking news) Yeonhee currently frozen stiff from nervousness]
[Her cam expression holy shit lol]
After hearing about her expression, I checked her stream and saw Yeonhee covering her mouth and staring at the camera, frozen.
“Hello?”
“Ah… yes”
[Yes wtf lol]
[This no-life bastard might be good at collecting money from viewers but can’t even properly respond to a man lol]
[Can’t breathe fr lol]
It was the beginning of our first collab stream.
