Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man - Chapter 19
With someone else at home, after Mr. Fu went to work, Shen Yunxing had someone to talk to, so it wasn’t as boring as before.
Aunt Sun’s cooking skills were impeccable, but he still thought Mr. Fu’s cooking was the best, even if it was just a bowl of white porridge, it tasted sweet.
He glanced at the clock.
It was almost seven o’clock, why hasn’t Mr. Fu returned yet?
“Darling, why are you daydreaming while eating?” Aunt Sun looked at him with amusement and helplessness, “Are you missing Mr. Fu?”
His face reddened slightly, “No.”
Aunt Sun could easily tell what was going on; her darling was just shy.
“Mr. Fu might be coming back later today, there seems to be an important meeting.”Â
Shen Yunxing nodded silently, feeling a bit down.
Mr. Fu had been coming home before six every day these past few days. After dinner, they would take a walk in the neighborhood, come back to watch TV on the couch, and say goodnight at ten.
Not seeing Mr. Fu so late today made him uncomfortable, and as time passed, this discomfort turned into anxiety.
Seeing his pale complexion, Aunt Sun panicked, “Darling, what’s wrong? Why is your face so pale?”
Shen Yunxing didn’t want Aunt Sun to worry about him. He smiled reassuringly, but secretly pressed his chest, feeling suffocated.
If his stomach wasn’t hurting, it meant the baby was fine, so why did he still feel uneasy? His anxiety intensified.
“Mr. Fu…” he murmured softly, lips pale.
Seeing him in distress, Aunt Sun panicked, “Darling, hold on, let me call Mr. Fu!”
Before she could dial the phone, the sound of the door opening came from the hallway.
Shen Yunxing looked up and saw the man standing there. His feelings of anxiety magically disappeared.
“Mr. Fu!” He hurried over, tightly embracing him and burying his head in his chest, seeking comfort.
Fu Tingzhou stroked the teenager’s black hair, smiling, “We haven’t seen each other for a day, and you’ve become so clingy?”
The little head in his arms moved, and the tips of his ears turned completely red.
The unconscious act of clinging made his heart melt.
“Tingzhou, you’re finally back. We were just having dinner, and suddenly Darling turned pale, it scared me.” Aunt Sun patted her chest.
Fu Tingzhou frowned, leading him to the couch. “Are you feeling unwell anywhere?”
Seeing him shake his head, he stared at the teenager for a moment, then relaxed when he saw his rosy complexion and bright eyes.
“Are you still hungry? Do you want me to cook you some noodles?” He asked, patting the teenager’s stomach.
Shen Yunxing looked up at him, “Will you cook for me, Mr. Fu?”
Seeing him nod, his eyes lit up.
“I’m hungry!”
The clear voice was filled with trust and dependence on him. Fu Tingzhou’s lips curved up, patting the teenager’s back gently, “Stay here and wait, I’ll go cook noodles.”
“Okay.”
Although the teenager’s voice was clear, his arms were tightly wrapped around Fu Tingzhou’s waist, showing no signs of letting go.
Pregnant individuals not only have heightened emotional sensitivity but also tend to rely heavily on those around them. If they don’t see familiar people for a long time, they may feel anxious and unsettled, which can even affect the development of the fetus.
Thinking of Professor Chen’s words, Fu Tingzhou’s expression changed slightly. He hadn’t contacted the teenager much today, and considering what Aunt Sun had just said, he understood what was going on.
“Go together?” he asked the teenager, lowering his gaze.
The head in his arms nodded eagerly, “Yes!”
Fu Tingzhou sighed helplessly yet indulgently, then took the teenager’s hand and headed to the kitchen together.
Aunt Sun watched their backs as they stuck closely together, feeling extremely satisfied.
Ten minutes later, Shen Yunxing finished the bowl of noodles with soup in his hands. Although it was just a simple bowl of noodles, he felt incredibly satisfied, even finding it tastier than those five-star meals outside.
“The noodles are delicious, thank you, Mr. Fu,” he said, flashing a cute smile with dimples at the man.
The latter’s lips curved up, “As long as you like it.”
After dinner, Shen Yunxing reverted to being the clingy little person he was before.
Originally, they sat at opposite ends of the couch, Shen Yunxing watching the movie. But seeing there was still enough space for another person between them, he felt a bit dissatisfied. So, he hugged a cushion, cautiously scooted towards the man’s direction, and sneakily observed his movements.
Whenever the latter showed any sign of noticing, he immediately stopped and focused intently on the TV screen, pretending to be serious.
“Is the movie good?” Fu Tingzhou asked the teenager beside him, who was watching with a serious expression.
“It’s very good,” Shen Yunxing nodded, picking out a couple of plot points he remembered, “The female lead’s best friend is a good person. She lent her a large sum of money for surgery without expecting her to repay it.”
“The mastermind behind the female lead’s car accident is actually her best friend,” Fu Tingzhou said.
Shen Yunxing paused, “Really? Well, the male lead sincerely cares for the female lead, that’s for sure!”
Fu Tingzhou stared at the teenager for a moment before nodding, “Yes, really.”
Actually, the male lead and the female lead’s best friend had known each other for a long time and had been involved with each other.
Shen Yunxing was completely unaware of this and even felt a bit smug that Mr. Fu hadn’t noticed his little actions earlier.
The teenager’s triumphant expression was lively and interesting. Fu Tingzhou enjoyed it for a moment before saying, “You like Liao the Actor, right? He has a new movie out recently. Do you want to watch it together?”
As expected, the teenager’s eyes widened, full of anticipation as he looked at him.
Fu Tingzhou smiled inwardly, enjoying the soft gaze from the teenager, but half an hour later, he couldn’t find it in himself to smile anymore.
The teenager’s hands were neatly placed on his knees, not sneaking over to his side or pretending to watch TV anymore. He didn’t need to pretend because the movie was two hours long, and the teenager’s gaze hadn’t left the screen for a moment, not even during the closing credits!
Fu Tingzhou watched the movie expressionlessly, feeling a strong sense of jealousy filling the entire living room.
“It’s so good! The plot is not cliché, and the acting of the entire cast is superb. Of course, Liao the Actor’s acting is the best, no arguments accepted!” Shen Yunxing’s excited face was flushed. He hugged the man’s arm and asked eagerly, “Mr. Fu, wasn’t the movie great? No wonder he’s my idol; his acting is amazing!”
The latter smiled faintly, “Yes, it was great.”
“Mr. Fu, what’s wrong with you? You seem a bit off,” Shen Yunxing looked at him puzzled.
Fu Tingzhou replied, “It’s nothing, just feeling a bit tired.” Mentally tired, he shouldn’t have mentioned that Liao person.
“It’s already eleven o’clock, it’s so late,” Shen Yunxing looked at the time on his phone, feeling less excited. He pouted in frustration, “We can’t go for a walk with Mr. Fu tonight.”
He had waited for Mr. Fu all day, and now that he was finally back, they didn’t spend the evening together properly, just watching a movie.
“Mr. Fu, are you going upstairs to rest? I’m not very sleepy yet, should we watch another movie?”Â
Seeing the teenager’s reluctant gaze, Fu Tingzhou furrowed his brows slightly.
Was he that fond of someone with the surname Liao?
“It’s getting late, you should go upstairs and sleep,” he refused.
“Oh, okay…” Shen Yunxing hesitated for a moment, then bid the man goodnight with a hint of disappointment.
“Goodnight.”
Their rooms were separated by a study. Shen Yunxing emerged from the bathroom and subconsciously glanced inside the man’s room as he passed by.
“He said he was tired and wanted to sleep, but he’s actually reading a book.” He pouted, feeling a bit upset.
Feeling down, Shen Yunxing tossed and turned in bed like a pancake, rolling around for a long time before finally falling asleep.
Moments later, the door was pushed open.
Fu Tingzhou sat on the edge of the bed, tucking the teenager in, watching his peaceful sleeping face, feeling his heart soften inexplicably.
The weather forecast had predicted heavy rain tonight, so before leaving, he double-checked to make sure the windows were closed properly.
“Mr. Fu…”
Just as he was about to leave, he heard the muffled voice of the person in bed say, “Mr. Fu.”
“Yes, I’m here.”
“The baby told me he misses you…”
Fu Tingzhou’s heart suddenly tightened.
After a moment, he heard his own hoarse voice, “What about you? Does the baby’s dad miss me?”
“The baby’s dad also *&%…”Â
He took a step forward, “Also what?”
“Fu Tingzhou, you big liar! You told me to come up and sleep, but ended up hiding in your room reading. Liar…”
The teenager complained in his sleep, rubbing his nose a few times as if feeling wronged.
Hearing the teenager’s complaints in his sleep, Fu Tingzhou’s face stiffened. “Liao Weifan’s movie is just okay.”
“Mmm, Liao the Actor’s acting is so great…”
“…”
His expression froze, then he left the room expressionlessly.
…
At one in the morning, the heavy rain suddenly poured down. Outside the window, lightning flashed and thunder roared, accompanied by howling winds and the sound of raindrops pounding against the glass, terrifying and heart-wrenching.
Inside the room, Shen Yunxing hugged his knees tightly, but the thunder sounded as if it was right next to his ear, making his heart race uncontrollably.
“Mr. Fu…” he called out under the covers, hoping the man could hear him.
But his voice was too soft and soon disappeared into the roaring thunder.
Shen Yunxing was afraid of thunder. When he was young, his parents were busy with work, his brother went to school and lived in the dormitory, so he often stayed home alone. Once, during a heavy rainstorm, he forgot to close the windows, and a bolt of lightning struck inside the house, causing the lights to go out abruptly. He was so scared that he cried, and he had a high fever for three days afterward.
Since then, he had developed a psychological fear of thunderstorms, especially afraid of lightning and thunder. Even as he grew older, the fear remained.
“Mr. Fu…” he called out, his voice trembling, but he received no response.
Outside the window, the thunder grew louder, and a bolt of lightning tore through the night sky, illuminating the pitch-black room as bright as day.
Shen Yunxing clutched the corner of the blanket, his face drained of color.
After a moment of absent-mindedness, he summoned the courage to get out of bed and find Mr. Fu, clutching his pillow.
Opening the bedroom door, he saw the man standing outside. His legs went weak, and with tears in his eyes, he threw himself into the man’s arms.
The teenager was trembling violently, and Fu Tingzhou’s heart clenched. He blamed himself for being angry with the teenager.
“Don’t be afraid, it’s okay,” he gently patted the teenager’s back, comforting him.
“Mr. Fu, don’t leave.” Shen Yunxing buried his head in the man’s neck, gripping his clothes tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white.
Fu Tingzhou’s heart stirred, and he gently stroked the teenager’s black hair, “I won’t leave, I’ll stay with you.”
Shen Yunxing nodded.
Mr. Fu’s words seemed to carry a magical power, and soon his nervous and uneasy heart calmed down.
Seeing the teenager’s body trembling less, Fu Tingzhou hugged him and walked towards the bed. He tucked the teenager in and then turned to leave, but his clothes were grabbed by someone.
“Mr. Fu!” Shen Yunxing’s eyes widened suddenly. He thought the man was leaving, but instead, he got up, turned on a night light, and then lifted the covers, lying down beside him.
“Don’t be afraid, go to sleep,” Fu Tingzhou said as he pulled the teenager into his embrace, gently patting his back with his warm and strong hand.
Mr. Fu didn’t leave.
Shen Yunxing stared at Mr. Fu for a moment, then slowly relaxed. He was very tired, and before long, he fell asleep, resting his head on the man’s arm.
Fu Tingzhou was afraid that the teenager would be startled awake again, so he stayed up all night, only falling asleep when it was almost dawn.
Shen Yunxing had a dream. He dreamed that Mr. Fu said he loved him and wanted to marry him. He was overjoyed and stole his household register from home, following Mr. Fu happily to the civil affairs bureau to register their marriage. He watched as the lady stamped their marriage certificate, but just as he was about to take it, he heard a childish voice calling him “Daddy.”
He was stunned, looking at his flat abdomen, then looked up to see the baby being held by two men in black clothes. His eyes reddened suddenly, and when he turned his head to question the man, he found the marriage certificate missing and Mr. Fu’s expression turning cold. The lady who stamped the certificate stood behind Mr. Fu with a smug look on her face.
“Hmph, a man who can give birth to a child, you’re just a monster. You still want to marry Mr. Fu, do you deserve it?” The woman with crimson lips spoke viciously.
Feeling helpless, Shen Yunxing looked at Mr. Fu, but when he saw the man’s disgusted gaze, he suddenly woke up.
“It was just a dream.” He stared at Mr. Fu’s face, which was so close, and although he knew it was just a dream, his heart still ached and he felt anxious, so he couldn’t help but move closer to the man.
Fu Tingzhou slept lightly. When the teenager’s hair brushed against his nose, he woke up. He closed his eyes, intending to lie down for a while longer, but unexpectedly, the teenager, who was facing away from him, turned over and hugged him tightly.
He stiffened instantly, maintaining a lying position without moving for a long time.
“I really can’t do anything with you.” After calming down, he gently pinched the tip of the teenager’s nose, sounding somewhat helpless.
The latter frowned, turned his head to avoid it, and breathed steadily and long, obviously still asleep.
Fu Tingzhou’s face was covered with the teenager’s hair, and he shook his head with a wry smile, tidied up the teenager’s messy short hair, and held him close while closing his eyes to rest.
Downstairs, Aunt Sun finished making breakfast and went upstairs to call them. However, she found Mr. Fu’s room empty, and opposite, her darling’s bedroom door was closed tightly.
Aunt Sun was experienced. She knew that the young couple liked to stick together every day, so she understood it very well.
“It’s better to come upstairs less in the future. In case you see something you shouldn’t see, according to the personality of our darling, he would be too shy to show his face,” she said with a smile.
Half an hour later, the two of them came down from upstairs, with the former neatly dressed and composed, and the latter wearing a loose hoodie and a suspicious blush on his face.
“Darling, did you wear the wrong clothes? This size should be for Tingzhou,” she said.
The clothes on her darling looked like a child wearing adult clothes, and Aunt Sun couldn’t help but laugh, covering her mouth and blushing.
Shen Yunxing was stunned. He looked down at the clothes he was wearing and found that they were indeed not his own. A rush of heat spread from his cheeks to the base of his neck.
“I’ll go change right away!” He rushed upstairs with a bright red face, and quickly changed his clothes.
The warmth on Shen Yunxing’s face didn’t completely dissipate until breakfast was over.
“Aunt Sun, I’m going to school now,” he greeted Aunt Sun with a pair of flushed ears.
Aunt Sun handed him a backpack full of snacks and looked at his belly covered by the hoodie, reminding him with concern, “Be careful at school, and if you feel unwell anywhere, remember to call home right away.”
He nodded, obediently saying, “Okay.”
“Let’s not delay any longer,” Fu Tingzhou reminded them somewhat helplessly.
“Go ahead, and when you come back, Auntie will make you delicious food.”
Shen Yunxing smiled with narrowed eyes. “Okay.”
…
Except for the beginning and end of the school year, as well as some special circumstances, parents were generally not allowed to drive into the Yunxi campus.
Shen Yunxing thought it would be the same as last time, with Mr. Fu dropping him off at the school gate and then taking the school bus himself. However, he didn’t know what method Mr. Fu used this time. He actually drove the car all the way to the teaching building, attracting a lot of attention from the students as the car hadn’t even stopped steadily.
“I’m going to class.” He stood by the car and waved to the man. “Mr. Fu, goodbye.”
The latter nodded. “Go ahead.”
After watching Mr. Fu leave, Shen Yunxing hugged his snack bag and ignored all the curious gazes around him, walking into the teaching building without looking back.
“Amazing, he actually managed to drive into the campus.”
“It seems like he’s a freshman. Besides school leaders, only the children of wealthy families who have donated money to the school can drive in. It looks like this freshman’s background isn’t simple.”
“Does having money mean you can do whatever you want? The student handbook clearly states that parents are not allowed to drive in. What he did violates the school rules!”
“Give it a rest. The rules are only for us to follow. They don’t apply to those rich kids.”
…
As the conversation gradually faded, Shen Yunxing didn’t even glance at anyone, calmly walking towards his classroom.
“Yunxing!” Li Mu caught up to him, patting his shoulder comfortingly. “I heard what they said just now. Don’t take it to heart. Those people are just jealous.”
“What did they say just now?” Shen Yunxing blinked, looking at him with a puzzled expression.
“You didn’t hear?” Seeing him shake his head, Li Mu asked again, “Then why are you frowning?”
“Just thinking about something,” Shen Yunxing replied innocently.
There weren’t many sour plums left in the snack bag, and Shen Yunxing didn’t know if Mr. Fu had replenished them for him.
Seeing him zoning out again, Li Mu was completely speechless.
“Let’s go, Qian and Xiaoyu have gone to buy breakfast. It might take another four or five minutes for them to arrive.”
Shen Yunxing nodded.
The first class was a large class, with three performance classes together. The two walked into the classroom side by side and chose seats in the third row from the back.
After sitting down, Shen Yunxing put the bag in the desk hole and waited for the teacher while digging out snacks from it to eat.
Sour plums, dried meat, finger biscuits, and various dried fruits, he kept eating one after another without stopping. Li Mu beside him stared wide-eyed.
“Haven’t you had breakfast?”
“I did,” Shen Yunxing said with a piece of sour plum in his mouth. Seeing him staring at his snack bag, he thought he wanted some too, so he reached into the bag for a while, and finally took out a shriveled sour plum with not much meat on it. He generously asked, “Do you want some?”
Li Mu: “…No, thanks.”
Shen Yunxing withdrew his hand, and the slightly furrowed eyebrows instantly relaxed.
Li Mu: “…”
Could you make it any more obvious that you don’t want to share?
Seeing Li Mu still staring at him, Shen Yunxing gave him a guarded look, then took out the snack bag and put it in the desk hole on the left side.
Li Mu: “…”
As it turned out, Shen Yunxing could make it more obvious.
