Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man - Chapter 28
Shen Yunxing’s parents didn’t come home the entire night, and his older brother Shen Yunxingnshu only returned the next morning.
“Brother, where did you go last night? Why did you even change your clothes?” Shen Yunxing, sitting at the dining table, stared at the marks on his brother’s neck and asked.
Shen Yunxingnshu paused for a moment, then turned to the side and smiled, saying, “A friend had some trouble, so I went to help.”
“Oh.” Shen Yunxing nodded, but he didn’t believe it at all. Not only had his brother changed clothes, but he also came back smelling of perfume.
Watching his brother’s back as he went upstairs, Shen Yunxing thought, could his brother have been on a secret date with his sister-in-law?
He had agreed to meet Mr. Fu at 11:30, but wanting to see him sooner, he quickly finished his breakfast, grabbed his snack bag and water bottle, and headed out.
**[Yunxing]: Mr. Fu, I’m almost at Changjie Road. Where are you?**
He texted the man while sitting in the taxi.
Mr. Fu first sent his location and then replied: **It’s still early. Would you like to see a movie together?**
A movie? Isn’t that a classic date activity?
Shen Yunxing’s cheeks turned red as he shyly typed two words: **Sure.**
Holding his phone, he looked out at the sunny weather with a great mood.
Ten minutes later, Shen Yunxing arrived at a cinema on Changjie Road and saw Mr. Fu dressed in casual clothes for the first time, wearing the hoodie he had once mistakenly worn himself.
“Mr. Fu.” He walked up to the man, his cheeks flushed, and called out.
“Mm, let’s go.” Fu Tingzhou extended his left hand to the boy. Seeing Shen Yunxing standing there dumbfounded, he smiled and said, “It’s the weekend. The cinema is crowded, so I don’t want you to get lost.”
“Oh, okay.” Shen Yunxing blinked, blushing as he placed his hand into Mr. Fu’s slightly warm palm.
He kept stealing glances at the man’s profile, completely oblivious to the curious and surprised looks from others around them.
In the hoodie, Mr. Fu looked several years younger, like a vibrant college student, still handsome and charming. But there was something odd about him today. Not only had he changed his style, but he also brought Shen Yunxing to see a movie and even held his hand in public.
What was Mr. Fu thinking? Was he really just afraid he would get lost?
“Watch your step.”
Lost in thought, Shen Yunxing almost tripped on the steps, if not for Fu Tingzhou’s reminder.
“Is your stomach bothering you again?” Fu Tingzhou’s free right hand rested on the boy’s stomach, asking worriedly.
Shen Yunxing shook his head, embarrassed that his stomach was touched in public, making his neck turn red.
“No, it’s fine. The movie is about to start. Mr. Fu, let’s hurry inside.” He grabbed the man’s arm and quickly headed towards the VIP hall.
Fu Tingzhou shook his head helplessly, following the boy’s quick pace, his hand carefully placed on his back to protect him.
The VIP hall had only twelve seats. After entering, Shen Yunxing immediately spotted their seats.
“Mr. Fu, our seats are in the back.” He pointed to the last row of seats.
Fu Tingzhou nodded, and as they walked past a couple, he glanced down at them. The couple, startled, quickly looked away.
“Mr. Fu, it’s my first time watching a movie in a VIP hall. These seats are so comfortable.” Shen Yunxing leaned back, closing his eyes in comfort.
Fu Tingzhou, sitting next to him, smiled and said, “The chairs at home are much more comfortable. Why don’t you ever praise those?”
“Well, maybe because I sit on them every day and got used to it.”
“It’s starting!” As the lights dimmed, Shen Yunxing instinctively grabbed the man’s hand in excitement. “This movie is directed by Song Cheng, one of his masterpieces. They spent months just on location scouting, and with Song’s high standards for special effects, it took two years to complete!”
The movie opened with an exhilarating fight scene. Shen Yunxing watched intently, even ignoring his thirst to avoid missing a single frame. It wasn’t until a cup of warm water was handed to him that he momentarily broke his gaze from the screen.
“Thank you.”
### Chapter 28: Date Time
Shen Yunxing drank a couple of gulps from the cup Mr. Fu held, thanked him, and turned his gaze back to the screen.
Fu Tingzhou sighed helplessly, tightened his grip on Shen Yunxing’s interlocked fingers, and resigned himself to watching the movie.
The movie was indeed good. After a few minutes, Fu Tingzhou was absorbed as well. They stayed until the end of the credits, only getting up when the theme song finished.
“The movie was really great! Director Song Cheng’s sci-fi film is now my top favorite, even better than some Hollywood blockbusters!” Shen Yunxing, following behind Fu Tingzhou, was so excited he couldn’t stop talking. “I wish I could collaborate on a sci-fi film with Director Song Cheng someday.”
“You will.”
The man’s blind trust and affirmation warmed his heart, and Shen Yunxing looked up and gave him a big smile.
“Thank you.”
Fu Tingzhou also smiled, reaching out to smooth a strand of hair on the boy’s head. “Shall we go? Have you decided where to have lunch?”
The warm and sweet date time was about to begin. Just the thought made Mr. Fu a bit excited.
But who could explain why there were other men in their private room? And not just one, but several?
“Lao Fu, Xiao Yunxing, you’re so slow. Liu… Huaijin and I have been waiting for you for ages.” Receiving a warning look from Liu Huaijin, Tang Che quickly corrected himself.
Fu Tingzhou glared coldly at him. “You could have chosen not to come.”
Tang Che raised two fingers and wiggled them. “No can do. I’m here to apologize to Xiao Yunxing.” He grabbed the heavy backpack beside him and sat next to Shen Yunxing.
He winked at Shen Yunxing, mysteriously saying, “Xiao Yunxing, I brought you something good.”
Fu Tingzhou snorted, “What good thing could you possibly have?”
“It’s not worth much, but I guarantee it’ll make Xiao Yunxing so excited he’ll jump up.” Tang Che, with a mischievous look, placed the backpack on Shen Yunxing’s lap, signaling him to open it.
Fu Tingzhou’s eyebrow twitched, suddenly having a bad feeling.
The backpack was a bit heavy and felt hard. Curious, Shen Yunxing unzipped it and looked inside, then glanced blankly at Tang Che.
Why did he give him two photo albums?
“Open them up. There’s a surprise inside~” Tang Che said in an annoying tone, continuously sneaking glances at Fu Tingzhou.
Seeing his hint, Shen Yunxing’s eyes lit up. Could it be what he was thinking?
Fu Tingzhou’s expression froze when he saw the boy pull out a photo album from the backpack.
“These are photos of Lao Fu in kindergarten. He looked like a little girl and almost had his first kiss stolen by a chubby girl named Tuniu. He cried all the way home after school.” Tang Che explained as Shen Yunxing’s eyes lingered on a photo of a tearful little boy.
Shen Yunxing nodded, reaching out to touch the red nose of the crying child in the photo.
Mr. Fu was so adorable when he was little, both cute and pretty.
Flipping to the next page, he saw another picture of little Fu Tingzhou, this time wearing a delicate princess dress, looking at the camera with a wronged expression.
“This was on Children’s Day. The teacher made us perform Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The teacher was new and not familiar with the kids yet. She saw that Lao Fu was pretty and made him play the princess. Lao Fu insisted he was a boy, but the teacher didn’t believe him. He almost pulled down his pants to prove it.” Tang Che chuckled.
“Sorry, couldn’t hold it in,” he said to his increasingly dark-faced friend, with a hint of provocation in his eyes.
With Xiao Yunxing here, what can you do to me? Who told you to inform Liu about me picking up girls at the Rose Bar and ruining my nearly secured girlfriend! You deserve this public shaming!
He turned back to continue his explanation, but saw Shen Yunxing close the album and put it back in the backpack.
“Not going to look anymore?” He still had many stories left to tell!
Shen Yunxing nodded, “I want to look at them later.”
He wanted Mr. Fu to personally tell him the stories. Although he felt a bit regretful that he couldn’t be part of Mr. Fu’s past, getting to know him in this way was enough to make him happy.
“Thank you, Brother Tang,” he said with a smile.
“Haha…” Tang Che couldn’t laugh. Seeing the expressionless face opposite him, he felt like crying.
“Come on, you’re an adult now. Can’t you stop doing such childish things?” Liu Huaijin said disdainfully.
“Who are you to say that? It’s none of your business,” Tang Che muttered under his breath.
Liu Huaijin’s voice turned cold, “What are you mumbling about? Speak up.”
Tang Che’s neck shrank, and he said, without any backbone, “I said, when will the food arrive? I’m starving.”
“Hungry? Waiter, two more bowls of rice, please,” Liu Huaijin said, glaring at the person next to him. “You can’t leave until you finish.”
Tang Che: “…”
Don’t think I’m afraid of you. If it weren’t for that incident, I would have beaten you to a pulp by now for talking to me like that.
“Ugh, Tang Che, you bastard, it hurts so much, don’t you know…”
Liu Huaijin’s voice filled with desire echoed in Tang Che’s mind, causing him to shiver. A hint of red spread across his tanned face as he coughed forcefully and began shoveling rice into his mouth.
“Don’t cough at the table,” Liu Huaijin scolded, looking at him with disgust. “What a filthy habit.”
“Mr. Fu, why is Brother Tang so afraid of Dr. Liu?” Shen Yunxing whispered, leaning close to Fu Tingzhou.
“I’ll explain later,” Fu Tingzhou said, giving the boy a bite of food. “Eat first, or the baby will start fussing.”
“Okay.” Shen Yunxing quickly abandoned his curiosity and enjoyed the happiness of being fed by Mr. Fu.
“How was it last night? Did you throw up again?” Liu Huaijin asked.
Shen Yunxing didn’t hide anything and obediently replied, “I threw up once before bed and once in the middle of the night, but I didn’t throw up again after that.”
Liu Huaijin nodded. “Generally, morning sickness starts around the fifth or sixth week of pregnancy and gradually subsides after three months. But it varies from person to person. Your constitution is special, so it’s normal for your morning sickness to start later. As long as you’re careful, it shouldn’t be a big problem.”
Shen Yunxing felt relieved but then remembered he had a film to shoot in December and asked, “Dr. Liu, with my condition, can I still go for the shoot?”
If not, he would have to give up this opportunity with regret.
“At the moment, it’s not advisable, but if you take good care of yourself later on, you can take some less demanding roles. However, absolutely no wirework!” Liu Huaijin warned him seriously.
Hearing this, Shen Yunxing was overjoyed and quickly promised, “No wirework. This role is a sickly scholar who usually gets around in a wheelchair and hardly ever walks, so it’s absolutely safe!”
Seeing his friend’s furrowed brows still full of worry, Liu Huaijin reassured with a smile, “Don’t worry. Although male childbirth is riskier than for women, Xiao Yunxing is a man after all and not as delicate as women. It’s just that the male body structure is different, so there will be more suffering during delivery.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you and Professor Chen,” Fu Tingzhou said, raising his wine glass to Liu Huaijin.
Liu Huaijin raised an eyebrow. “Leave it to me. Once the baby is born, just let him call me godfather.”
“I want to be the baby’s godfather too!” Tang Che, who had been eavesdropping, immediately shouted.
If Liu Huaijin became the baby’s godfather, he would be an uncle. That wouldn’t do; he wanted to be the godfather too!
In his excitement over the rice, Tang Che forgot that he was actually a year younger than Liu Huaijin and would always be a junior in front of him.
“Huh?” Shen Yunxing was a bit stunned, finding himself with two godfathers for the unborn baby.
“You can be the godfather, but during festivals, the red envelopes must be generous,” Fu Tingzhou said calmly.
“Deal! I’ll send a small red envelope to my godson now. Make sure to supplement his nutrition with it.” After sending the red envelope, Tang Che looked pleased with himself. “Whoever sends the red envelope first is the primary godfather.”
Liu Huaijin glanced at him and spat out three words, “Childish fool.”
A small red envelope?
Shen Yunxing stared at the string of zeros in the WeChat transfer, dumbfounded.
“WeChat is such a hassle,” Tang Che complained. “You can only transfer 200,000 yuan a day. Yunxing, give me your bank account number. I’ll transfer another 300,000 yuan. My godson should have the best of everything!”
“Ding dong—”
“Ding dong—”
Shen Yunxing looked at his phone and saw that Dr. Liu had transferred 400,000 yuan to him…
Liu Huaijin: “Just a little token of my regard.”
Feeling his status as the father being threatened, Fu Tingzhou silently transferred a million yuan to the boy.
Shen Yunxing, who had received a huge red envelope for the first time in his 18 years: Am I the only poor person in the world?
“Lao Fu, you’re cheating! Out of the three of us, you’re the only one who knows Yunxing’s bank account number!” Tang Che shouted angrily.
“Mr. Fu, how do you know my account number?” Shen Yunxing asked in confusion, looking at the man. He didn’t recall ever telling Mr. Fu.
Fu Tingzhou patted the back of the boy’s head and smiled without answering.
Secretary Yang is a competent secretary. She’ll get a raise next month.
Receiving the raise notification out of the blue, Secretary Yang felt like the sky was falling.
Did the boss finally find out about the group chat I secretly created to gossip about him and his sweetheart? Is he going to fire me?!
Oh no, I haven’t gossiped enough… I mean, I haven’t been his secretary long enough!
