- Chapter 39 - Lao Fu, You're Finished
“Tingzhou, is this how you speak to your great uncle? What about your manners?” Old Master Fu scolded.
Fu Tingzhou didn’t have time to waste here. The young man was alone at home, and he was worried. He needed to quickly settle the matters at the old mansion and rush back to accompany the young man.
“Second Uncle, did you and Uncle carefully read the will left by Grandfather? Grandfather indeed mentioned that if I couldn’t leave descendants for the Fu family, I wouldn’t receive this 15% share.”
Fu Tingzhou paused, looking at the greedy gaze of the father and son, and said calmly, “But that doesn’t mean you can take it, because those shares will be donated to a children’s charity in my parents’ names.”
“That’s impossible! I was present when the will was announced, and there was no such clause!” Fu Yuehe didn’t believe it. He stood up, pointing at Fu Tingzhou, and said excitedly, “You must have tampered with the will!”
“This is the notarized document.” Fu Tingzhou placed the file he had been holding on the table. “Uncle should know that a notarized will has more legal weight than a handwritten will.”
Fu Yuehe still didn’t believe it. He quickly picked up the document and looked through it, only to find that it was exactly as Fu Tingzhou had said. Moreover, the notarized will stated that if Fu Tingzhou had no descendants, he couldn’t inherit the shares, with no mention of any age restriction!
The file slipped from Fu Yuehe’s hands. He took a step back, fell into a chair, and murmured, “How could this be? Uncle had already written the will. Why did he need to notarize it?”
He had spent so many years working for the Fu family, yet he had only received 5% of the shares. His elder brother, Fu Yueshan, held nearly half of the shares. He had thought that once his brother passed away, those shares would belong to him. However, his twenty-year-old nephew had stepped forward and shattered his hopes.
Now, with Fu Tingzhou appearing with a notarized will, his last hope was also shattered.
Fu Yuehe was completely crushed. He shouted loudly.
“It’s fake, it must be fake! I don’t believe it! Fu Tingzhou, why are you still alive? You should have died with your parents in that car accident twenty years ago!”
He spoke without thinking, and only realized what he had said after he had vented his anger.
“No, it’s not like that! The car accident had nothing to do with me!”
Fu Tingzhou looked at him coldly. After a moment, he turned and left the old mansion.
He knew it was just an accident, but if Fu Yuehe hadn’t intentionally delayed things, at least his mother might have survived…
Back in his car, he leaned against the seat to calm himself down. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t erase the scene of that day from his mind. Only when his phone rang, playing the ringtone he had set specifically for the young man, did he find solace.
“Mr. Fu, are you still busy?”
The young man’s clear and crisp voice instantly dispelled the gloom in Fu Tingzhou’s heart.
“I’m not busy. I’ll be home soon,” he said softly.
On the other end, Shen Yunxing hesitated upon hearing his voice.
“Mr. Fu, what’s wrong with you?” he asked worriedly.
“Do you want to eat some cupcakes?”
His answer was irrelevant, which made Shen Yunxing even more concerned.
“Mr. Fu, where are you now? I’ll come find you!” Holding the phone, his worried brows furrowed.
Hearing the young man’s concern, Fu Tingzhou smiled faintly.
“I’m fine. Just wait for me obediently at home.”
“Okay.” Shen Yunxing replied, “Mr. Fu, I’m at home with the baby waiting for you.”
He didn’t know what had happened on Mr. Fu’s end, but he wanted to let him know that he wasn’t alone, that he had him and the baby.
Fu Tingzhou: “Good.”
After hanging up, Shen Yunxing still couldn’t relax. He quickly dressed and wanted to go find Mr. Fu, but he didn’t know where to look, so he squatted by the villa gate, watching the passing cars.
Twenty minutes later.
Before Fu Tingzhou’s car approached the villa, he saw a small, blurry figure squatting by the roadside, looking this way.
His heart stirred, instinctively knowing that the figure was the young man.
As the car drew closer, the distance shortened, and the figure’s face became clearer.
Half a minute later, he saw the young man standing in front of him, and his heart tightened.
Without thinking, he got out of the car and tightly embraced the young man.
“Mr. Fu, are you okay?” Shen Yunxing looked up at him, his face full of concern.
“I’m fine.” Fu Tingzhou bent down slightly and gently kissed the young man on the temple.
Shen Yunxing was momentarily stunned, then slowly widened his eyes.
“Mr. Fu?”
“I’m leaving, going home,” the latter patted his head nonchalantly.
Shen Yunxing blinked, looking at the man in front of him with an incredulous expression.
“That’s it? Aren’t you going to explain why you just kissed me?”
“Mr. Fu, you’re finally back. Young Master Shen has been waiting for you at the door for half a day,” the security guard said.
Fu Tingzhou nodded. “Uncle Guo, please help me park the car.”
“Mr. Fu, it’s my pleasure. It’s what we should do.”
Fu Tingzhou held Shen Yunxing’s wrist and led him back into the villa. Once inside, he settled him on the sofa, put on a cartoon for him, then went into the kitchen to prepare supper.
Shen Yunxing, once again treated like a child by Fu Tingzhou:
He threw the remote on the sofa and followed Mr. Fu into the kitchen.
“Mr. Fu, let me help you with the vegetables.”
Fu Tingzhou looked at the young man intentionally sticking close to him, his lips curling into a smile. Thinking of the model the young man had hidden halfway under the sofa in the lounge, his smile deepened.
Just then, his phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
“Yunxing, could you get my phone?” He held out his hands, which were damp from washing, signaling for Shen Yunxing to take the phone.
“Okay.”
Shen Yunxing agreed without much thought, but blushed when he took it, realizing how much it resembled him actively throwing himself into Mr. Fu’s arms if he just moved his arm.
“Mr. Fu, it’s Tang-ge calling.” He said, his cheeks slightly red.
Seeing the young man with a blush on his face, Fu Tingzhou’s mood improved completely.
“Go ahead,” he said with a smile.
“Lao Fu ah, you’re done, the old man got the message from someone around you, and he kept me asking for a whole afternoon today. You’re my brother, how can I betray you, so I’ll die to keep you from knowing it, who knew this old man’s heart was so vicious, he wouldn’t even let me eat dinner!”
The phone was answered, and Tang Che sounded like a crosstalk, telling the story, and finally took a deep breath and said, “Old man gave you a week for you to must bring the person back, otherwise, he will use extraordinary means!”
