Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man - Chapter 45
After spending more than two hours at the aquarium, Shen Yunxing had a lot of plush toys and figurines in his arms. He tossed a bag of snacks to Mr. Fu, struggling to carry all the toys as he made his way to the parking lot.
“Do you need help?” Fu Tingzhou asked the boy for the third time.
Shen Yunxing shook his head. “No, they’re not heavy at all.”
Although Fu Tingzhou saw that Shen Yunxing was having trouble walking, the boy’s face was lit up with a bright smile. Shaking his head with a laugh, he raised his hand to brush aside the long bangs from the boy’s forehead.
After the morning’s activities, Shen Yunxing was already feeling sleepy by lunchtime. When they got home, he didn’t even have time to change his clothes. As soon as his butt hit the couch, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
Fu Tingzhou put away the plush toys and came out of the room to find the boy snoozing on the couch, even snoring a little. A smile of indulgence and affection curved his lips.
Shen Yunxing slept soundly, unaware that Mr. Fu had carried him to the bedroom. When he woke up, he found himself in the bed that smelled like Mr. Fu, and his clothes had been changed into pajamas.
“Mr. Fu?” he called out, still a bit sleepy, hugging the blanket.
His voice was soft, and he thought Mr. Fu wouldn’t hear him. But within half a minute, the man walked in.
“Awake?” Fu Tingzhou sat by the bed, smiling at the boy who was stretching like a cat.
Shen Yunxing made a sound of acknowledgment and then blinked his eyes, asking the man, “Mr. Fu, where did you go just now?”
“I went next door to make a phone call,” Fu Tingzhou said, stroking the boy’s semi-long hair. “Your hair is getting a bit long. Let’s stop by the barber shop to get it cut tonight.”
Shen Yunxing nodded obediently, then scooted over to make room.
He didn’t speak, just stared at the man with his big, moist eyes.
Fu Tingzhou chuckled, lying down next to the boy as if following his wishes, and stretched out his arm to pull him into his embrace.
“Do you want to keep sleeping?”
The small head in his arms shook.
“No, my brother said he would come over at four,” Shen Yunxing said, fiddling with the buttons on Mr. Fu’s pajamas.
“Where are you going for dinner? Have you made a reservation?”
“At Shan Shi Fang. My brother has already reserved a spot.”
“Alright, I’ll take you there later.” Fu Tingzhou grabbed the boy’s hand that was playing with the buttons, feeling a bit helpless, “If you keep playing, you’ll break it.”
Shen Yunxing stopped but thought to himself: Let it break. He didn’t understand why Mr. Fu had to button up so much, preventing him from seeing even a bit of his collarbone.
…
Before four in the afternoon, Shen Yunxing was dropped off at Shan Shi Fang by Fu Tingzhou.
“Mr. Fu, can I have a farewell kiss?” he asked, leaning on the car window, his cheeks adorably dimpled.
Fu Tingzhou smiled at the boy, didn’t say anything, but reached out to hold the back of his head, leaning in to give him a light kiss on the lips. After the kiss, he playfully pinched Shen Yunxing’s unbelievably red earlobe.
Shen Yunxing thought he had hidden his feelings well, but the man saw right through him with one look, making his ears turn even redder.
He stepped back a bit and said softly, “I’ll go up now. Goodbye, Mr. Fu.”
“Go ahead. Send me a message when you’re done, and I’ll come pick you up.”
“Got it.” He nodded obediently. Once inside the lobby of Shan Shi Fang, he touched the earlobe Mr. Fu had pinched, which was still tingling and warm, making his heart feel like it was boiling.
Shen Yunshu entered and saw his brother standing foolishly in the lobby, not noticing him approach.
“Snap out of it,” he said, patting his brother’s shoulder.
Shen Yunxing was startled, then smiled when he saw his big brother.
“Brother.”
“Yeah.” Shen Yunshu laughed and ruffled his brother’s hair. “I already told you the room number. Why are you still standing outside instead of going in?”
“I wanted to wait for you,” Shen Yunxing said sweetly, flashing a big smile.
Shen Yunshu shook his head with a smile. It had only been a few days, but his little brother had become much more affectionate.
“Brother, what are you carrying?” Shen Yunxing asked, tilting his head to look at what his brother was holding.
It looked like a gift. Could it be from that man on the phone?
Shen Yunshu didn’t notice his brother’s shocked and scrutinizing gaze. Once in the private room, he placed the gift in front of his brother.
“I originally planned to invite your classmate Li Mu to dinner, but the timing didn’t work out. When you get back to school, help me give this to him. The others have gifts too, but this one is different, so don’t mix them up.”
“Got it.” Shen Yunxing took it and set it aside, then scooted his chair to sit next to his big brother.
“Brother, are you dating someone?” he asked seriously. And is the person you’re dating a man?
Shen Yunshu paused his action of pouring water, thinking about what that little brat had done when he called his younger brother the other day, and it made his teeth itch with anger.
“Oh, now you’re starting to interrogate your brother, huh?” he said, patting his brother’s head and pretending to be angry.
“I’m just concerned about you,” Shen Yunxing said, covering his forehead.
Since his brother didn’t want to talk about it, Shen Yunxing didn’t press the issue. However, he thought he needed to find an opportunity to confess his relationship with Mr. Fu to his older brother.
His older brother had always been protective of him. If his older brother approved of his relationship with Mr. Fu, he could help persuade their mother and father.
“Yunxing, since when did you develop such a big appetite?” After an hour of eating, Shen Yunshu was surprised that his brother hadn’t stopped. “Where does all that food go?”
He glanced at his brother’s slightly bulging belly and teased, “How many months?”
Though he didn’t mean anything by it, Shen Yunxing was startled, and his chopsticks fell from his hand.
“What do you mean, how many months? Brother, what are you talking about?” he said, a bit nervous, as he slightly hunched his body.
“I said the weight all goes to your belly.” Shen Yunshu handed his brother a new pair of chopsticks and gently pinched his brother’s somewhat childish cheek. “Your chin, however, is getting sharper.”
“Maybe it’s due to a lack of exercise. I’ve been sitting around and haven’t been going out much these days,” Shen Yunxing said after calming down.
Shen Yunshu nodded and changed the subject, asking about other things.
Half an hour later, Shen Yunxing finally felt full.
“Brother, are you busy tonight?”
Shen Yunshu: “Not busy.” Then, remembering the little brat’s birthday tomorrow, he changed his tune, “Almost forgot, I have a meeting tonight.”
Shen Yunxing pouted. What meeting? A date?
“Not happy? I’ll spend more time with you next time.” Seeing his brother’s childish expression, Shen Yunshu felt nostalgic for when his brother used to depend on him. “How about we go skiing during winter break?”
Shen Yunxing’s eyes lit up but soon dimmed again.
By winter break, the baby would be seven or eight months along. By then, not only would skiing be impossible, but even taking a walk would be difficult.
“No, it’s too cold. I’d rather stay home,” he said with a cheerful smile.
Shen Yunshu chuckled, “Let’s go, I’ll take you back to school.”
“No need, brother. Since you’re busy, you can go ahead. I’ll just take a cab back; it’s only ten minutes away.”
“Alright, I’ll head off then. Tell your classmates I’ll take them out another time,” Shen Yunshu said.
“Okay.” Shen Yunxing waved at his brother and, once he was in the parking lot, turned and went into the café across the street.
Shen Yunshu didn’t drive off immediately. He answered a call from the little brat, chatting for about ten minutes. When he finally left, he coincidentally saw his brother getting into a luxury car.
He was momentarily stunned, thinking, is my little brother dating?
It couldn’t be a ride-share driver. His brother was smiling so brightly, indicating a close relationship with the driver.
Lost in thought, the luxury car had already driven away. He didn’t dwell on it and instead transferred several thousand yuan to his brother.
Even though the other party was wealthy, dating shouldn’t mean always spending the girl’s money.
Meanwhile, Shen Yunxing was startled by the large sum his brother had transferred to him. Seeing the message that followed, his smile faded.
“What happened?” Fu Tingzhou asked, seeing the boy’s smile disappear.
“My brother saw me getting into the car,” he said, stunned.
“And then?”
“Then he transferred me thirty thousand yuan and told me not to spend my girlfriend’s money all the time.”
Fu Tingzhou laughed upon hearing this.
“Mr. Fu, stop laughing,” he said with lingering fear.
Luckily, his brother hadn’t seen Mr. Fu hugging him; otherwise, it would’ve been disastrous.
“Don’t worry, it’ll be fine,” Fu Tingzhou said, gently pinching the back of the boy’s neck to comfort him.
Magically, this simple touch from Mr. Fu calmed him down.
Shen Yunxing turned his head to look at Mr. Fu, who was driving seriously, and felt his heart swell with warmth.
When they got home, the two snuggled together to watch TV shows.
Before going to sleep, Shen Yunxing, in a half-awake state, heard Mr. Fu say that next month he would take him to meet the old master. He immediately woke up.
“Mr. Fu, what did you just say?” he asked, swallowing nervously.
“Are you scared?” Fu Tingzhou hugged him, smiling.
Of course he was scared.
He had only recently learned that Old Master Tang, twenty years ago, was a man whom even the mayor of Lin’an had to show deference to. Although he had retired from the business world, old interviews showed that he was a very strict and rule-abiding person.
With his cheek pressed against Mr. Fu’s chest, Shen Yunxing asked nervously, “What if Grandpa Tang doesn’t like me?”
“He will. He likes you very much.”
“How do you know?” he asked, looking skeptical at Mr. Fu’s confident tone.
To completely dispel the boy’s tension and unease, Fu Tingzhou showed him the chat history with the old master.
Shen Yunxing took the phone, bewildered. After reading their conversation, his face turned as red as a tomato.
“Mr. Fu, why did you send this photo to Grandpa Tang?” he demanded, pointing at a picture of himself with water sprayed all over his face by a dolphin.
“Because it’s cute,” Fu Tingzhou replied with a smile.
Shen Yunxing pouted. What’s cute about it? He looked like a silly kid in the photo. Only Mr. Fu would find it cute; he himself thought he looked foolish.
Seeing the boy’s tension fade, Fu Tingzhou placed his phone on the bedside table, lightly rubbing his chin on the boy’s hair, and asked with a chuckle, “Feeling better now?”
Shen Yunxing didn’t answer. Instead, he lifted his head and gave the man a quick kiss on the chin.
“Mr. Fu, your stubble is scratching me,” he said, touching the man’s stubbly chin.
“What, are you starting to complain now that we’re together?” Fu Tingzhou wrapped his arm around the boy’s waist and deliberately rubbed his chin against his fair neck.
Shen Yunxing squirmed with laughter, pushing at Mr. Fu’s chin.
Moments later, neither knew who started it, but the two, tightly entwined, finally settled down.
