- Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man
- Chapter 47 - You Mess Around Outside
“Grandpa, what did you say to him?” Fu Tingzhou asked the old man, looking at the dazed boy who had come downstairs.
“What, do you think I would harm my precious grandson-in-law?!” The old man said with a stern face. “This kid is well-behaved and pure-hearted. If you ever dare to wrong him, don’t blame me for taking drastic measures!”
“Mr. Fu, Grandpa didn’t trouble me. Look, he even gave me the family heirloom.” Shen Yunxing said, tugging on the man’s sleeve after snapping out of his daze.
“What? Heirloom?!” Hearing this, Tang Che suddenly found his orange tasteless. “Old man Tang, how come I didn’t know we had a family heirloom? Since it’s a family heirloom, shouldn’t I get a share too?”
He didn’t actually care about any heirloom; he was just used to bickering with the old man, so he reflexively opposed him.
“Hmph, it’s my own thing. I can leave it to whoever I want. What’s it to you?” The old man rolled his eyes at him. “Besides, I’m giving it to my future grandson-in-law. If you want, go find yourself a partner too.”
“Are you trying to provoke me? Old man Tang, do you think I’ll fall for that?” Tang Che, having figured out the old man’s tricks, declared he wouldn’t be fooled.
“You brat! Someday someone will put you in your place, and you’ll have a good cry then!” The old man said, stroking his beard gleefully as he thought of the young doctor at the hospital.
“I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. There’s no woman in this world who can control me.” Tang Che said arrogantly, crossing his legs and shaking them.
The old man gave his foolish grandson a sideways glance. “If not a woman, how about a man?”
“Pfft—”
Upon hearing this, Tang Che spit out his hot tea.
“Cough, cough, Grandpa, you know I like women.” He said between coughs.
“I know, I know. Now go get the dishes. Don’t let my grandson-in-law go hungry.” The old man waved him off, then turned to talk to Shen Yunxing.
“Child, you scared me when you didn’t respond earlier.” The old man hadn’t expected to almost send someone to the hospital just by giving a gift. Fortunately, everything was fine, or this brat would probably never bring anyone home again.
“Grandpa, I’m fine. Sorry for worrying you.” Shen Yunxing said sweetly.
He was just a bit overwhelmed earlier. It was the first time he’d seen someone give house deeds and land titles upon meeting for the first time, and the properties were in first and second-tier cities, with a total value of no less than fifty million. He wouldn’t have dared to dream of such a thing!
“As long as you’re okay, let’s eat then!”
At the dinner table, the old man tried Fu Tingzhou’s cooking and nodded in satisfaction.
“You’re quite skilled, young man.”
“Impressive, Lao Fu. With cooking skills like this, you could open a restaurant. I’ll definitely bring my wife to support you!” Tang Che said, giving a thumbs-up.
“Mr. Fu has always been good at cooking.” Shen Yunxing smiled proudly.
Seeing the young couple so affectionate, the old man’s smile faded slightly.
“Tingzhou, come to the study with me.” After dinner, the old man said, leaning on his cane.
Shen Yunxing, sensing something off in the old man’s expression, grabbed Mr. Fu’s hand, looking worried.
“Don’t worry. Be good and watch TV downstairs. I’ll be right back.” Fu Tingzhou said, patting the boy’s head.
“Relax, the old man treats him better than his own grandson. Unless it’s murder or arson, he won’t beat him to death.” Tang Che tried to reassure the boy, but it only made him more anxious.
Shen Yunxing, hearing that Grandpa Tang would beat people when angry, felt his heart tighten.
Mr. Fu won’t get beaten, right? He looked nervously at the door to the study upstairs, ready to rush in at the first sign of trouble.
In the study upstairs, the old man stood with his hands behind his back, adopting a prosecutorial stance.
“Tell me, did you get some other woman pregnant? Yunxing is pure and was deceived by you. If he didn’t like you so much, I would never have agreed to this marriage.”
The old man struck his cane on the floor forcefully. “For the sake of the company shares, you dare to wrong Yunxing? Money is useless if you’re dead!”
Hearing the old man’s accusations, Fu Tingzhou felt both amused and exasperated.
So that’s why the old man had been cold to him since he walked in, it was because of this misunderstanding.
“Grandpa, it’s not what you think. I haven’t wronged Yunxing.”
Even though his explanation sounded weak, there was no way he could tell the old man that the one pregnant was the barely adult boy downstairs. The old man would likely break his third leg if he knew.
Sure enough, the old man didn’t believe him.
“If you haven’t wronged Yunxing, then how do you explain the shares?”
As Fu Tingzhou hesitated, the old man raised his cane.
“Fine, today I’ll teach you a lesson on Yunxing’s behalf for messing around outside!”
At that moment, the door was suddenly flung open with a bang.
“Grandpa, don’t hit Mr. Fu!” Shen Yunxing stood in front of Fu Tingzhou with his arms outstretched.
“Silly child, he did something like this, and you still protect him?” The old man said, suppressing his anger. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he learns his lesson so he won’t mess around again!”
“Things aren’t like that, Grandpa. Mr. Fu hasn’t wronged me.” Shen Yunxing hesitated for a moment but then spoke up resolutely.
“It’s not another woman. I’m the one who’s pregnant with Mr. Fu’s baby.” He said, his ears turning red.
“Child, what did you say?” The old man thought he’d misheard.
Having said it once, explaining didn’t seem so embarrassing anymore.
“I’m the one pregnant with Mr. Fu’s baby, and it’s been over four months now.” He said, touching his slightly rounded belly.
“Thud—”
The old man was so shocked he dropped his cane and collapsed onto the sofa, taking a while to recover.
A man getting pregnant? He had seen and heard many strange things in his decades in business, but never this!
“Tingzhou, is what Yunxing said true?”
Seeing Fu Tingzhou nod, the old man turned to his biological grandson.
The latter shrugged, clearly already in the know.
The old man’s lifelong beliefs were completely shattered.
Tang Che: “Grandpa, what’s wrong? Don’t scare me!”
