Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man - Chapter 52.2
“Are you talking about your friend, or is it you or your brother?” Shen Yunshu’s breath hitched. Fortunately, he was looking down, otherwise his sharp-minded mother might have caught on.
“Mom, where is your mind going? It’s neither me nor Yunxing. It really is just a friend of mine. I just didn’t know how to face him, so I wanted to ask for your opinion.”
Mother Shen scrutinized her eldest son, seeing his natural expression and relaxed tone, and finally felt at ease.
“As long as it’s not you two. Otherwise, don’t expect me to accept it.”
She certainly didn’t want a person who wasn’t manly or womanly as a daughter-in-law.
From the entryway came the sound of the door opening—Shen Yunxing was back.
“Dad, is brother home?” he asked, noticing the keys on the shoe cabinet.
“Yeah, he’s talking with your mom,” Father Shen replied.
Talking?
Shen Yunxing swallowed, and as soon as he changed into his slippers, he saw his brother coming out of the bedroom.
“You’re back too late. Don’t go out this late again,” Shen Yunshu frowned, but then he remembered his brother would be going back to Yuncheng with Fu tomorrow. They’d be eating, living, and possibly even sleeping together, and his face darkened further.
Father Shen glanced at his elder son. “You used to be even wilder than your brother, hardly ever coming home.”
“Dad, it’s my fault. I’ll come back earlier next time.” He understood his brother’s message to behave at home.
Next time? Shen Yunshu felt a pang of jealousy.
Does he like Fu that much? Being together all the time isn’t enough, and he still wants to meet up when home.
Out of sight, out of mind, he greeted the people in the living room and went upstairs to shower.
In the living room, Shen Yunxing accompanied his father in watching a financial talk show. When Fu Tingzhou suddenly appeared on the screen, he was slightly stunned.
“No wonder Xiao Fu seemed familiar. I’ve seen him on the financial channel before,” Father Shen said excitedly. This was the boss of the Fu Group! He couldn’t believe he was on friendly terms with such a big shot.
“Mr. Fu is amazing.”
Shen Yunxing turned into a little fanboy, utterly dazzled by Fu Tingzhou’s flawless charm. Especially in the show, when Mr. Fu spoke confidently to the camera, it felt as though he was speaking directly to him, making him blush and his heart race.
“Xiao Fu is a good kid, capable and handsome. A perfect son-in-law. I wish I had a daughter.” Father Shen sighed, thinking it was a pity such an outstanding person wasn’t part of their family.
Shen Yunxing silently straightened his back.
Dad, your son isn’t a bad option either.
Father Shen didn’t notice; he was busy studying the promising stocks Fu Tingzhou had recommended.
At 10 PM, after taking a bath, Shen Yunxing lay in bed and sent a message to Mr. Fu. Just as he hit send, a video call request from the other side popped up.
“Mr. Fu,” he said, smiling sweetly with his eyes curved.
The boy’s cheeks were pressed against the pillow, creating a slight puff of soft flesh. Combined with his big, bright eyes, he looked irresistibly cute.
Fu Tingzhou’s heart melted at the sight of the adorable boy.
“Shall I pick you up at nine tomorrow?” he asked gently.
“My brother said he wants me to ride with him,” Shen Yunxing said, a bit unhappy at the thought. His brother had even pushed back his work for tomorrow.
Double standards! His brother was already intimate with his soon-to-be sister-in-law—he could clearly see the marks on his neck. All he had gotten was a kiss. It was too unfair!
Fu Tingzhou, seeing the boy’s sulking expression, could guess about seven or eight-tenths of it. He smiled and tapped the screen.
“It’s okay. I’ll follow right behind. You’ll be able to see me whenever you look back.”
“You’ll be right behind,” the phrase made Shen Yunxing’s heart flutter.
Looking at the man, he shyly said, “Mr. Fu, I really like you.”
Mr. Fu wasn’t good at expressing himself, so he didn’t expect to hear him say he liked him this time. But then he heard the man say, with utmost seriousness, “I love you.”
“Mr. Fu, what did you just say?” He couldn’t believe it and widened his eyes. He quickly sat up from the bed, almost straining his belly in the process.
“Be careful,” Fu Tingzhou said, worry etched on his face.
“Got it, I won’t do it again.” He looked at the man eagerly and expectantly, “Mr. Fu, could you say what you just said one more time?”
Fu Tingzhou paused for a moment, then looked at the boy, eyes filled with a smile, and said, “I love you, little fool.”
Seeing how happy the boy was, he regretted not being able to convey his feelings to him sooner.
Shen Yunxing was overjoyed, his cheeks red as he hugged his phone and said, “Mr. Fu, I love you too.”
Having said that, he ran out of courage for the day, hurriedly said goodnight to the man, and quickly ended the call.
[Mr. Fu]: Good night, see you tomorrow [patting head]
[Yunxing]: [cat nodding]
That night, he slept exceptionally well and even had a wonderful dream. He dreamed that he and Mr. Fu’s baby was born.
The baby was a tiny bundle, speaking in a cute, childish voice, and most importantly, the little one looked exactly like a miniature version of Mr. Fu. He didn’t want to let go of the baby once he held him.
“Mr. Fu, baby…” He murmured in his sleep, hugging his pillow, with a smile on his face that lasted all night.
…
The next morning, after breakfast, Mother Shen instructed Father Shen to pack two cans of homemade pickles for each of the brothers. This recipe was taught by Shen’s grandmother and was very tasty, a family favorite, so Mother Shen would make some every year.
“Mom’s pickles are the best. I can eat two big bowls of rice with them!” Shen Yunxing said, hugging his mother’s arm and nuzzling affectionately.
“When it’s finished, I’ll make more,” Mother Shen said with a smile. “Be safe on the road and call home when you arrive.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he said, saluting playfully, making Mother Shen laugh heartily.
“This kid, always goofing around.”
“Mom, I just called Aunt Li. She’ll be here soon,” Shen Yunshu said.
“Okay, got it.”
Father Shen went to work. Mother Shen didn’t like hiring a nanny, but they couldn’t leave her without care, so the brothers had asked their neighbor, Aunt Li, for help.
Aunt Li was very kind-hearted. Father and Mother Shen had helped her family many times in the past. When she heard that Mother Shen was ill, she immediately took on the job of caring for her.
With someone to take care of her, the brothers felt at ease leaving.
On the way back, Shen Yunxing didn’t sleep. Instead, every now and then, he craned his neck to look back.
Shen Yunshu glanced at the black car following them and then at his brother, who was practically yearning to fly over to the man. He felt like an unfeeling Queen Mother blocking the reunion of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl…
Half an hour later.
“Brother, can we stop at the rest area? I’m a bit sleepy and want to get the small blanket from Mr. Fu’s car.”
As soon as Shen Yunshu stopped the car, he saw his brother eagerly rush out and dive into Fu’s car.
He didn’t know what the two did in the car, but when his brother returned, his cheeks were a bit red, and his lips looked bright red, making him imagine things.
Another half hour later.
“Brother, can we stop again? I forgot my thermos in Mr. Fu’s car.”

Another half hour later.
“Brother, I’m hungry.”
Using the same excuse for the third time, Shen Yunshu couldn’t take it anymore.
“No need to come back,” he said with a dark face.
Let whoever wants to be the Queen Mother be it; he couldn’t do it anymore.
“Brother, I’m leaving then~”
The “Weaver Girl,” who was pregnant, happily went to find her “Cowherd.”
“Why are you here again?” Fu Tingzhou asked with a helpless smile when the boy got into the car.
“This time it’s not me, my brother told me to come,” Shen Yunxing said, squinting his eyes and smiling like a sly little fox.
