- Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man
- Chapter 79 - The Full Moon Banquet (Continued)
Dressed in a little dinosaur outfit, Zhouzhou’s eyes looked like black grapes. Seeing the room full of people, he wasn’t scared at all. Instead, he happily kicked his little feet and babbled in baby talk that no one could understand.
“Oh, such a little one already smiling. Old Tang, your great-grandson will be amazing when he grows up,” laughed one of Old Master Tang’s old friends.
“Indeed, it’s all thanks to my precious grandson-in-law,” Old Master Tang said proudly, stroking his beard. “Zhouzhou, come here. Great-grandpa wants to hold you.”
“Let me hold him too. It’s been years since I’ve seen such a tiny baby.”
“Honey, look at Zhouzhou’s eyebrows and eyes. They’re just like Yunxing’s when he was little,” Chen Rong, who finally got to hold the baby, said.
Shen Rongchen nodded, “Yes, but the nose and mouth do resemble Tingzhou a lot.”
“This child is so good-looking and well-behaved. He doesn’t cry or fuss no matter who holds him,” Chen Rong said as she gently rocked the baby, already feeling a headache just thinking about her own mischievous children at home.
“Yeah, if only our two kids were half as well-behaved as Zhouzhou,” Shen Rongchen sighed.
“You two shouldn’t hog him. There are still people who haven’t held him yet,” someone said, seeing that the couple had been holding the baby for quite a while.
Not at all afraid of strangers, Zhouzhou was passed around among the guests. By the time he was back in his dads’ arms after half an hour, he was visibly impatient, wrinkling his little nose.
“Umm!” The little guy kicked his feet angrily while in his dad’s arms.
“Oh my, he’s too cute,” Su Yin said, covering her mouth, completely charmed by the baby’s grumpiness.
“Zhouzhou, let Aunty hold you, okay?” Su Yin said in the softest tone she had ever used.
But the little guy wasn’t impressed at all. He turned his head and saw Xue Li sitting across from him. His tiny eyes lit up.
“Ahm~”
“Yunxing, why is your son staring at me and grinning like that?” Xue Li, who had never interacted with such a small baby, asked nervously.
“You’re the silly one,” Shen Yunxing retorted, still sensitive about the word “silly” after making the baby cry that morning. “Our Zhouzhou is the smartest. Aren’t you, Zhouzhou?”
“Mm~” The little guy responded unconsciously.
The others were amazed, thinking the baby was actually answering.
Xue Li said, “Wow, this is so smart!”
Mo Yu nodded vigorously.
Zhai Zilin said, “Second brother, you better keep your catchphrases in check. Be careful not to spoil the child.”
Su Yin said, “Ah, I’m going to be overwhelmed by cuteness. Zhouzhou, sweet baby, come let Aunty cuddle you!”
However, Zhouzhou was a baby with principles. He turned his head away from Su Yin, and when his gaze landed on Liu Huaijin, he was completely captivated.
“Yunxing, your son is a face person!” Xue Li said, unable to contain himself. “He only likes men!”
Su Yin, a beauty herself, didn’t even catch his attention!
“Zhouzhou, come to Uncle,” Liu Huaijin said with a smile, extending his hand.
The little guy didn’t understand the gesture but kept staring and grinning at him.
Shen Yunxing wiped the suspicious water stains from the corner of the baby’s mouth, sounding slightly helpless. “Zhouzhou, let’s be a bit reserved, okay?”
For a moment, everyone at the table was amused by the baby’s unintentional antics.
“Wow, Mr. Fu is here!” Xue Li nudged Mo Yu with his elbow, almost bouncing in excitement.
Mo Yu looked up and saw the business tycoon, usually seen only in interviews, talking gently with his brother.
“Zhouzhou needs to sleep. I’ll prepare his formula and feed him before he goes to sleep.”
“Alright.” Shen Yunxing nodded and moved closer to Mr. Fu, wanting to check if he smelled of alcohol.
Fu Tingzhou chuckled softly, ruffling the back of Shen Yunxing’s head, and said, “Don’t worry, I haven’t had any alcohol.”
Xue Li was stunned. Was Mr. Fu always this easygoing? In previous interviews, he always had a stern expression, as if someone owed him a fortune!
Su Yin, who had met Fu Tingzhou at a party, knew he doted on Yunxing but was surprised by how affectionate he was today. His smile was as warm as spring. If he joined the entertainment industry, it would be a sensation!
“Ahem, there are still people here!” Su Yin coughed and interrupted the affectionate exchange.
Shen Yunxing was startled, quickly sitting up straight and blushing as he distanced himself from Mr. Fu.
“Mr. Fu is so good to our little Yunxing. Looks like our worries were unnecessary,” Xue Li whispered to the two brothers.
Mo Yu nodded in agreement.
Zhai Zilin, who had long witnessed his uncle’s pampering skills, said, “Of course. Just look at Yunxing’s smile.”
Zhouzhou was indeed tired. It was impressive that he had stayed awake for so long. After finishing his milk, he fell asleep in his dad’s arms.
“Give Zhouzhou to me. Let him sleep in the stroller while you eat,” Fu Tingzhou said.
Shen Yunxing nodded.
The little guy slept soundly through the banquet and didn’t wake up. During the event, he was only briefly awakened for a diaper change by his dads, but he slept through it without even furrowing his brows.
“Alright, my godson will definitely grow up to do great things,” Old Master Tang praised.
Su Yin had an evening engagement but left behind a pair of delicate silver bracelets engraved with the character for “fortune” for the baby.
“Kids these days all wear these. If other babies have them, our Zhouzhou should have them too!” she said.
The longevity lock gifted by Old Master Tang was already on the baby, but Shen Yunxing wasn’t sure if the silver bracelets would fit. He turned to ask Liu Huaijin.
“One year old should be fine. Right now, Zhouzhou is still too small for bracelets,” Liu Huaijin suggested.
With the longevity lock already in place and the bracelet gift, it was only then that Tang Che, who was a bit slow, took out the full moon gift he had prepared for the baby.
“This is from me and my wife to our godson,” Tang Che said, looking at the sleeping baby in the stroller with a proud expression. “While your gifts are all nice, this one is something Zhouzhou can brag about for a lifetime.”
Shen Yunxing took the gift with curiosity.
It was a large envelope, and when he opened it, he was stunned.
Tang Che raised his eyebrows and said, “How about that? Receiving an entire ‘Xingzhou Amusement Park’ as a gift right after the full moon. Isn’t that impressive?”
Xue Li and Mo Yu thought to themselves: As expected, a big shot’s friends are also big shots. Impressive [thumbs up].
Liu Huaijin facepalmed. Only this guy would give a whole amusement park as a full moon gift.
“Thank you, Tang Ge and Jin Ge,” Shen Yunxing said, putting the gift away. Having never used an umbrella when he was a child, he decided to keep the gift hidden and tell his son about it when he was older.
Later, this gift was stored away until Zhouzhou was in middle school, when he accidentally discovered the file with his name on it and realized how wealthy he was. His two dads had kept it a secret from him for so long, which made him feel quite sad QAQ!
The next day was the spring season preliminary rounds, and Xue Li, Mo Yu, and Zhai Zilin stayed at Shen Yunxing’s place instead of going home.
“Yunxing, will we really not disturb you guys?” Mo Yu asked his friend, holding him back before getting in the car.
“Not at all. It’s a perfect chance for us to work on our teamwork and discuss strategies,” Shen Yunxing said.
“The third one means we won’t be interrupting you and Mr. Fu’s private time, right?” Xue Li said, giving a thumbs-up with both hands and wiggling them.
Hearing this, Shen Yunxing blushed.
“Stop saying nonsense. It’s annoying,” he glared at Xue Li.
His stomach incision was still healing, so with Mr. Fu, it was only hugs and kisses at most. Besides, if they did anything more, it would be in their bedroom, and with the good soundproofing at home, they wouldn’t hear anything.
“Ahem, anyway, I’m fine with it. Let’s go,” Xue Li said, bundling up in his down jacket and looking up at the sky. “It’s really cold.”
After arriving home, the three were settled in a guest room downstairs. Fu Tingzhou, worried that they might be too engrossed in playing and not take care of the baby, took little Zhouzhou to the study to keep him company while he worked.
“Mr. Fu, I’ve made coffee and cut some fruit for you. Remember to eat,” Shen Yunxing said, placing the tray down. As he turned to leave, Mr. Fu grabbed his wrist and pulled him into an embrace.
“Let me hold you for a moment,” Fu Tingzhou said, kissing the top of the young man’s head.
Shen Yunxing hugged Fu Tingzhou’s strong waist, pressing his cheek against the man’s warm chest, and nuzzled affectionately.
“Don’t play too long. The food in the fridge might not be enough. We need to go buy some things your friends like later,” Fu Tingzhou said, stroking the hair behind Shen Yunxing’s ear.
Shen Yunxing nodded. “Got it.” He lifted his head to kiss the man’s chin. “I’m going now. Take care and don’t stare at the computer for too long.”
Fu Tingzhou smiled and replied, “Okay.”
In the downstairs game room, Xue Li and Mo Yu were playing the classic game Contra from their childhood. Their lack of coordination led to them getting killed by enemies that suddenly appeared while waiting for each other.
After getting killed by enemies for the tenth time, Xue Li was frustrated. “What kind of play is this? Even little Zhouzhou plays better than you.”
“You’re the one playing poorly! Running straight into the enemy’s fire, who wouldn’t die?” Mo Yu was equally exasperated, and they exchanged retorts, each not backing down.
“Click—”
The door opened, and both turned to see Shen Yunxing enter. They immediately went silent and exchanged glances, very deliberately looking at their friend’s slightly flushed face.
Zhai Zilin, who was quietly playing on his phone, also couldn’t help but glance a few times.
Holding fruit and drinks, Shen Yunxing looked puzzled. “Why are you all staring at me? Is there something on my face?”
The image of Mr. Fu pinning his brother against the wall and kissing him suddenly flashed in Xue Li’s mind. He was so grossed out that he shook his head furiously to clear it.
Shen Yunxing, bewildered, sat down next to them.
Three minutes into the game, he frowned as he watched Xue Li get killed again due to being distracted.
“Why do you keep looking at me? I don’t have an eight-times scope on my face!”
Xue Li: “……”
He glanced at his brother’s white neck and thought to himself: There’s no eight-times scope, but there are strawberries, and not just one.
After playing for two hours, whether their teamwork improved or not, Shen Yunxing didn’t know, but he realized that if they wanted to succeed in the preliminary rounds, they would likely have to rely on themselves.
After a break, the four put on their coats and planned to go out for a stroll and buy some groceries.
“Hold on, I need to let Mr. Fu know,” Shen Yunxing said.
Xue Li looked at his friend with a complex expression. “Are you a child? Do you need to report to your parents every time you go out?”
Shen Yunxing shot him a glare. “Mind your own business.” With that, he turned and went upstairs.
