Pregnant With The Pup Of A Wealthy Old Man - Chapter 80
**Chapter 80: ‘Gege’**
Chunjiang Huayue Garden is a luxury neighborhood. Zhai Zilin drove, and the four of them wandered around the neighborhood for half a day before returning with a bag of groceries.
Dinner was cooked by Fu Tingzhou. The four of them sat in the living room watching TV, with Zhouzhou’s baby stroller placed next to Shen Yunxing’s feet.
“Damn, Fu Da-ge is cooking for me. This is something I can brag about for a lifetime,” Xue Li said, looking excitedly towards the kitchen.
“Yunxing, why do you always call Fu Da-ge ‘Mr. Fu’?” He looked at his friend with confusion. “Aunt Song, who came back earlier, also called him that. It sounds so formal.”
Shen Yunxing bit into an apple and said, “I’m used to it, and I think it sounds quite affectionate.” He leaned over to cover the baby with the blanket that had slipped off.
“What else would you call him, Tingzhou?” He rolled the words around his tongue, shaking his head. “It just feels weird.”
“Dinner is ready. Everyone wash your hands and come eat,” Fu Tingzhou said as he emerged from the kitchen with a bowl of soup.
“Oh!” Xue Li jumped up from the sofa. “Fu Da-ge, let me help you serve the dishes!”
A moment later, Xue Li and the others stared in amazement at the table filled with a variety of delicious-looking dishes and a soup.
“Just some home-cooked dishes, no need to be polite,” Fu Tingzhou said with a smile.
The three of them exchanged glances, and only after Fu Da-ge and Yunxing started eating did they pick up their chopsticks.
“This is so delicious,” Xue Li said, swallowing a piece of fish and giving Fu Da-ge a thumbs-up. “My mom has been cooking for over twenty years, and her dishes aren’t even half as good as yours.”
Mo Yu nodded in agreement.
Zhai Zilin also couldn’t stop eating.
Seeing them praise Mr. Fu so highly, Shen Yunxing felt even happier than if he were being praised himself.
“Mr. Fu, you’ve worked hard,” he said quietly under the table, gently hooking Mr. Fu’s finger and smiling up at him.
Fu Tingzhou’s eyes twinkled with a smile. He tightened his grip, holding the boy’s slender hand in his palm.
After dinner, Xue Li and the others volunteered to wash the dishes. Shen Yunxing and Fu Tingzhou went to the living room to prepare milk for the hungry and whimpering Zhouzhou and change his wet diaper.
After clumsily changing the diaper, Shen Yunxing kissed the baby’s face and said, “Our Zhouzhou smells so good, like milk.”
“Hmm~” The little one kicked his feet in hunger, clearly uninterested in his father’s compliments.
Seeing the baby’s mouth quivering as if about to cry, Shen Yunxing quickly soothed him, “Zhouzhou, be good. Daddy is going to prepare the milk and will be back soon.”
Moments later, Fu Tingzhou returned with a prepared bottle. The baby took the nipple eagerly and finally stopped fussing.
That night, the four of them played games for a while before heading to their respective rooms to sleep.
After showering, Shen Yunxing lay on his bed with a large Fu Tingzhou plush toy, rolling around before suddenly recalling Xue Li’s comment from the afternoon.
He needed to come up with a new way to address Fu Tingzhou. “Mr. Fu” was too impersonal and didn’t feel special.
And if Zhouzhou grew up hearing his father call Fu Tingzhou “Mr. Fu,” he would probably be quite confused.
But what should he call him? Mr.? Husband?
No, no!
He shook his head vigorously while hugging the plush toy.
Calling him “Mr.” made him feel like he had traveled back to the Republic of China, and calling him “Husband” felt too embarrassing for him to say.
As he frowned and struggled with his dilemma, Fu Tingzhou emerged from the bathroom after his shower.
“Gege.”
Fu Tingzhou paused his towel-drying motion and looked up at the boy kneeling on the bed.
“Gege,” Shen Yunxing thought he hadn’t been heard and raised his voice, blushing as he repeated the term.
Yet Fu Tingzhou still didn’t react. Shen Yunxing felt a bit discouraged and was about to revert to his previous address when Fu Tingzhou tightly embraced him.
“Fu—”
Fu Tingzhou’s large hand held the boy’s head, his tongue claiming the unique taste of the boy with a domineering kiss.
He only stopped when Shen Yunxing’s breath became uneven and he was almost out of breath.
“Good boy, call me that again,” he murmured, his forehead against the boy’s, his voice deep and husky.
Shen Yunxing was left breathless and blushing from the intense kiss. He felt as if he was being completely consumed by Fu Tingzhou, their bodies pressed closely together, as if they were one.
He wrapped his arms around the man’s neck and, with flushed ears, called out again, “Gege.”
Fu Tingzhou’s heart skipped a beat. He lowered his gaze and kissed the boy’s brow and cheeks, his breath warm and scorching.
“Baby…”
Shen Yunxing’s limbs felt weak from the man’s kisses, and he could barely keep from falling to the ground, relying entirely on Fu Tingzhou.
“Mr. Fu, can I call you that from now on?” he asked softly.
“Sure,” Fu Tingzhou kissed the boy’s heated ear and said in a hoarse voice, “I like it very much.”
……
The next morning, the four of them got up early to attend the audition.
Because of the boy’s sudden shift to calling him “Gege” the night before, Fu Tingzhou couldn’t help but become a bit rougher with him, savoring the warmth of the moment. He didn’t make breakfast but instead called Boss Xu from Liuchun Garden to order breakfast for delivery.
“Gege, can I have a shrimp dumpling?” Shen Yunxing said naturally at the table.
Gege?
Xue Li was stunned to hear his friend call Fu Da-ge that way.
Wasn’t it supposed to be “Husband”? Calling him “Gege” felt too much like a sibling. But…
He took a sly glance at the red marks on his friend’s neck hidden by a high-neck sweater and thought: There must be something fishy going on here.
After breakfast, Xue Li saw Fu Da-ge go to the garage to fetch the car and took the opportunity to approach his friend.
“Bro, looks like things were pretty intense last night,” he remarked, glancing at the red marks behind his friend’s ear.
Shen Yunxing froze, his hand holding the milk box suddenly stiffening, and his cheeks turned bright red.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about,” he said, curling his neck in embarrassment.
“Hey, stop pretending, I saw it all.” Xue Li nudged him with his elbow, teasing, “How’s your body holding up? Can you still manage the competition?”
Shen Yunxing glared at him: “If you keep talking nonsense, you can go to the preliminary round by yourself.”
“Don’t mind him, Yunxing. He’s just being annoying,” Mo Yu said, turning around.
“Seriously, though, are you okay?” Mo Yu’s tone shifted. “If you can’t handle it, let us know. Although we’re not great, we should be able to get into the preliminaries.”
Shen Yunxing: “…”
“Whatever you’re thinking, it’s not what you imagine.”
The three of them, looking unconvinced, said in unison: “Okay.”
The preliminary round was held at the Lin’an Arena. When they arrived, the outside of the arena was already surrounded by a large crowd of participants.
“I’ll pick you up after the competition,” Fu Tingzhou said, pinching the boy’s earlobe with a smile. “Don’t be nervous, do your best.”
Shen Yunxing nodded: “You should go back quickly. If we’re not around, Zhou Zhou will definitely make things difficult for Aunt Song again.”
“Alright.”
Watching Mr. Fu leave in a car, Shen Yunxing turned and met Xue Li’s inquisitive gaze.
“Seriously, why do I feel like Fu Dala’s ear-twirling gesture seems a bit… suggestive?”
It wasn’t just him; Zhai Zilin and Mo Yu also felt a bit awkward about Fu Dala’s earlier gesture.
“Ahem.” Zhai Zilin cleared his throat, trying to cover up, “The match is about to start. Let’s head inside.”
Although Shen Yunxing wasn’t very famous, his recent popularity was high. Despite his attempts to go incognito, a staff member checking registration information still recognized him.
“Star Kid, it’s really you!” At first, the staff member was hesitant, sneaking glances at him. After seeing the name on the registration form, she lowered her voice excitedly.
“Hello,” Shen Yunxing smiled and lowered his voice as well. “Could you tell us which area we are in?”
“Ah, sorry, I’ll check for you right now.” The staff member’s face turned red as she found the seating number and handed over the competition pass. “You’re in Area B.”
“Star Kid, good luck! You’ll definitely make it to the finals!” The staff member cheered as they left.
“Thank you.”
The preliminary round was divided into eight areas from A to H. The better your performance in the game, the further ahead your assigned area.
“If it weren’t for us three dragging him down, Yunxing’s skill would definitely get him into the A Area,” Xue Li said, feeling a bit guilty as he noticed that Area A even provided snacks and drinks.
“Even that guy, Wan Feng, is in Area A. Though he’s a game streamer, his skills are nowhere near Yunxing’s.”
Shen Yunxing looked away and patted Xue Li on the shoulder, saying, “If it weren’t for you guys, I wouldn’t even have a team.”
With Su Jie, Qiao Qiao, and others unable to attend due to other commitments, and Lu Bai busy with exams, and Chen Mu and others starting filming, he genuinely couldn’t find enough participants without them.
Xue Li chuckled: “So, you’re saying we’re just here to rescue you because you couldn’t find anyone else.”
Shen Yunxing smiled: “Exactly.”
“Wow, you’ve picked up some bad habits.”
“Stop joking.” Mo Yu kicked Xue Li, “The first round of the elimination match is about to start.”
The elimination rounds were divided into three phases. The first round was a free-for-all, with a 50% elimination rate.
Each area had 100 participants, meaning half would be eliminated by the end of the first round.
Five minutes later, the competition began. The arena fell silent for a moment before quickly becoming noisy.
“Wow, we matched with streamer Nanning. This round we’re definitely not making it into the top ten. We’re doomed!” A four-person team next to them gave up hope upon facing a tough game streamer.
Shen Yunxing’s team was lucky to avoid any particularly strong opponents and smoothly advanced to the second round.
Twenty minutes later, the second round of elimination began.
As Shen Yunxing landed, he noticed a familiar game nickname—Nanning.
“Be careful. The four-person team on the right is Nanning and Jifeng,” he said, maneuvering his character into a two-story house.
“Damn, these guys are tough. It would be easier if it were Wan Feng,” Xue Li said, quickly picking up a medical kit.
“It’s okay, we can handle it,” Shen Yunxing said firmly. “Old Boss and Old Three, there are people on your left. Don’t come out yet. I’ll cover from the roof.”
Ten minutes into the match, eliminated participants left one after another.
In the休息室, a member of a professional team stared at one of the live stream screens, frowning.
“This player’s tactics seem familiar.”
“Who?” The teammate curiously looked over. “‘Send You to the Netherworld’? That nickname is pretty arrogant.”
“Got it,” Chen Liang slapped the table, “He’s the kid who sniped me last time!”
The teammates were stunned.
“‘Send You to the Netherworld’ is the one you heavily sought out on Weibo?”
“Yes! I’m sure it’s him. He not only killed me but also taunted me with a sniper shot. It’s definitely him!” Chen Liang said through gritted teeth.
At that moment, in Area B of the competition.
“Stop shooting. The system already announced the player is completely out,” Xue Li said.
Shen Yunxing pressed his lips together: “I’m used to it.”
“That’s not a good habit; it can easily be misunderstood as deliberate mockery, you know?”
Shen Yunxing, who was already misunderstood, nodded obediently: “Mm.”
Xue Li: “There are only two full teams left. Let’s pray we don’t run into Nanning!” Just as he finished speaking, a level-three helmet was shot off.
[You were killed by “Jifeng” using an AWM]
Xue Li: “… Damn it!”
Mo Yu: “You jinxed it!”
Struggling for a minute, Zhai Zilin, who was ultimately killed by Nanning, said: “It’s not a loss to die at the hands of a former professional player.”
With only Shen Yunxing left, he was up against a full team that had once competed professionally, known for their high coordination and synergy. There was no way he could win alone.
However, before being sniped by Jifeng, he successfully eliminated the other two members of that team.
“Nice work. It’s a shame you’re not a professional player,” Xue Li said, bumping his shoulder.
“Not bad,” Shen Yunxing said with a smile, “Gaming is just for fun. I prefer acting.”
Xue Li gave a thumbs-up: “You’re amazing, future superstar.”
After half an hour, the third round of the competition began. Few contestants remained in the arena. The four of them encountered several strong opponents and then faced Wan Feng and Nanning.
Though they didn’t win first place, they managed to secure a top-three spot.
“Tch. With Wan Feng’s skills, I don’t know how he got popular,” Xue Li said, watching Wan Feng curry favor with Nanning’s team after the match. “Netizens these days really have poor taste.”
“Enough. Yunxing has long moved past the old issues. Don’t stir up trouble,” Zhai Zilin said. “Now that the Fourth is a celebrity, if this gets brought up by haters, it’ll just be another headline.”
“I’m just lamenting for Yunxing. During the summer vacation in high school, Yunxing played competitions all holiday long. When school started, he couldn’t attend the finals, and when he logged in, he found his account stolen. The thief even used Yunxing’s account to compete offline.”
Xue Li was frustrated: “It’s infuriating that such a person became popular, and has so many Weibo fans. It’s really disheartening.”
“There’s nothing we can do. Since the account was bought by Yunxing, even if we report it to the judges, they won’t believe us because the account owner is Wan Feng himself,” Mo Yu said, patting his shoulder.
Two years ago, when the game was still developing and there were no proper channels to buy accounts, everyone used private verbal agreements. Back then, Shen Yunxing was young and naively thought that if the seller wanted to sell, they wouldn’t reclaim the account. He didn’t ask for a written guarantee, which led to the impersonation issues.
Shen Yunxing glanced towards Area A. He no longer felt much about that past incident since he was just playing for fun.
He didn’t expect to encounter the person again two years later.
After leaving the arena, the four of them chatted while waiting for their rides at the entrance.
“My ride’s here,” Xue Li said, getting into a taxi. He leaned out the window and said to the others, “Brothers, I’m heading back to school. See you at the qualifiers!”
Shen Yunxing saw off the three of them one by one and turned to see Mr. Fu standing on the roadside. He ran over with a smile.
“Gege,” he called out happily.
Fu Tingzhou, with a gentle gaze, handed the flowers to the boy and said warmly, “Congratulations on passing the preliminary round, sweetheart.”
“Thank you,” Shen Yunxing said, holding the flowers with eyes full of affection.
“Sis, look! It’s a same-sex couple!”
“The guy giving flowers is so tall! Even with a mask, you can tell he must be extremely handsome!”
Two girls happened to pass by and, seeing the couple standing face-to-face, whispered excitedly to each other.
“The shorter guy is also good-looking!”
“Wait, I feel like the guy holding the flowers looks a bit like Star Kid. Let me check again when I get back!”
“Gege, how come you…”
Before Shen Yunxing could finish, Mr. Fu pulled him into an embrace.
“Ah, they’re hugging! They’re hugging!” The two girls, seeing this, forgot what they were doing and excitedly stomped their feet.
Author’s Note:
Shen Yunxing (cheeks slightly flushed): “Gege.”
Mr. Fu (with a satisfied expression): “Good boy.”
