“Yes, thanks to your consideration, I was able to return safely. Thank you for giving me a knight escort and for lending me the villa. This is a small reward for that.” As the conversation began, the knight’s expression gradually returned to normal. The knight placed the gift he had prepared in advance on the table. As Diches held the gift box with the hand that was not holding Lara’s hand, the next words flowed out immediately.
“And I came to inform you of my return. If you have any orders, just leave them to me. I will slowly remove the dormitory.”
Diches gave a displeased look to the knight who returned to the Order at the same time as starting his married life.
“So you won’t be staying in the dormitory from now on?” “Yes, haha. I will have to commute from my new home.” “Why?”
Diches touched the dark blue ribbon on the gift box and asked coldly. The blue ribbon was supposed to be a symbol of separation. The eyes that had sunk deep were as dark as the deep sea.
“How can you live anywhere else when I’m here?”
“Yes?”
“I’ll give you another dorm, so live here with your wife. It’s not just for my own benefit. It’s so that I can keep you by my side.” ‘What the… this obsessive line?’
Lara was starting to get scared of this kid. At the same time, her brain was spinning quickly, and somehow she felt like she knew how this was going to work out.
The direction of her obsession wasn’t just one place, but rather several. This must mean that the cliché of ‘obsessed only with the female protagonist’ had been broken.
He, who had been exclusive to the female protagonist, had been reborn as a philanthropist with a devilish nature who wanted to monopolise everyone equally.
<I never thought the power of the evil non-cliche would reach even one of the male protagonists, Diches… … . But he’s kind of charming? It doesn’t matter if he ends up with any female protagonist. Hmm, it’s okay. As expected, the male lead I created is so alive.>
‘You are a god who would applaud even if the male lead takes a shit.’
Lara dragged her tired body out of the office. She went straight to the infirmary and asked for her hands to be disinfected.
She was rinsing her hands, which smelled bad because of the disinfectant, with water from a nearby water pipe and shaking them once. Suddenly, a white handkerchief was held out from behind her.
“If it’s okay, would you like to use this, Laan?”
“You again?”
My brother was smiling as he handed me the handkerchief in a gentlemanly manner. The sight of him standing in the warm sunlight reminded me of the gentle brother in my memories. When Lara stood there blankly for a moment, Lawrence lifted the handkerchief that was held out in front of her eyes.
“But there is a condition for using this. I know your name is not Laan. Tell me what your real name is.”
“Haven’t you noticed yet… …?”
Lara nervously pushed his hand away and ran toward the training ground. “Wait, wait. Edgar3 is looking for me?”
Lara only nodded once at the voice that followed her. As she entered the training ground, she saw Edgar3 sparring with a senior knight. With outstanding skills and fast speed that were not inferior to those of men, she was competing with the senior knight equally.
The senior knight bent down, leaving behind the heavy sound of the metal clashing. Edgar3 calmly blocked the sudden stabbing attack by laying his sword flat. The sound of the blade, blade, continued again, and this time Edgar3 quickly flew forward and attacked. The tip of the sword that flew horizontally stopped right next to the senior knight’s neck.
The sound of gasping could be heard from all over, and the attendant raised his hand toward Edgar3.
“Thank you for the sparring.”
Edgar3 bowed his head and looked back. His eyes were calm, as if he had known when he had come.
“You’re really amazing, Edgar3.”
“You don’t have to praise me like that. I’m nothing compared to you.” “I’m really nothing.”
Edgar3 didn’t respond to Lara’s sincere confession. The already solidified misunderstanding had long since taken the place of truth.
“You’re really amazing. You know I won’t believe you, but you’re still giving such a humble answer.”
“No, I’m really nothing compared to you. No! Can you believe me? Huh?!”
“You’re amazing.”
“I’m nothing!! I can’t even handle a sword and I can’t fly around like you!”
“Hey, rookie! Stop belittling yourself and come here and clean this up.”
When the loud shout signalling the start of training was heard, Lara couldn’t argue anymore and had to head over there.
The knights were organising their sweaty armour and weapons. A commotion echoed from the entrance. Lara turned her head wondering what was going on and saw a middle-aged knight standing in the centre of the training ground looking around gravely.
“The guy who entered the director’s office today, come out immediately.”
Lara almost dropped the shoulder pad she was holding on the ground because it stung. Another loud commotion rang out around her. While she was just looking around to see if she should go out or not, Edgar 3 confidently stepped forward first.
Seeing her friend acting conscientiously, Lara couldn’t just ignore it.
She quietly stepped forward and stopped next to Edgar 3.
Lara felt like her face was being pierced by the glaring gaze of the middle-aged knight standing in front carrying a load on his back. A knight came forward belatedly and stood next to her, and it was the knight she had seen in the office earlier.
Edgar 3, Lara, and the knight who had returned from his honeymoon. There were three of them.
The middle-aged knight’s eyes narrowed like needles and he glared at them with a sharp gaze. Judging from the atmosphere and his attitude, it was clear that something had happened. If it was a theft, things would get complicated. Lara and Elina3 were disguised as men, hiding their true identities.
‘If we get searched here… … .’
The cliché that the worse the premonition, the more likely it is to be true, was to be broken this time. The middle-aged knight began to speak in a heavy voice that dominated the space.
“Someone ran away after pooping under the captain’s desk.” “… Oh, my God… … .”
“Oh my God… … .”
“… How could something like that happen… … .”
When the knights heard the news, they let out shocked and angry sighs from all over the place, but only Lara showed a trembling reaction.
‘Is this something so shocking… … ? Of course, it’s surprising in another sense, but the incident itself is so cheesy!’
Lara thought that she had captured the atmosphere because of something like this. The corners of her mouth slightly went up at the comicality blooming in the seriousness.
The middle-aged knight caught Lara’s expression for a moment and a sharp light appeared in his eyes.
“Edgar3, you’re not that kind of person, so go in. The same goes for Sir Rook. Then you’re the one left.”
‘Are you saying that I’m the kind of person who would poop and spit?!’ “You can’t control your expression.”
Lara, who was named as a suspect in the defecation terrorism, couldn’t hide her bewilderment. It was a bit funny that she was protesting that she didn’t poop, but at that moment, Edgar3 entered the defence with a serious face without a smile.
“Laan isn’t stupid enough to poop in a place like that. He can tell the difference between the bathroom and the office.”
‘You’d rather call him an intelligent anti… … .’
He could only resent himself for having such a person as a friend.
“I’m sorry, Sir Edgar, but I want to say that this incident was not a mistake but intentional. I think it was an incident caused by a grudge, something that someone who had always harboured ill feelings toward the captain did in order to tarnish his honour.”
The middle-aged knight began to dig into the incident in more detail, using his old detective skills.
“At the crime scene, the toilets were neatly arranged without any disarray. This means that the criminal relieved himself comfortably.”
“That means… ….”
“While the criminal was defecating, there was an accomplice who helped him by watching the net from outside.”
The investigation net was getting bigger and bigger. Cold sweat ran down Lara’s temples. As she listened, it felt like she was hearing the sound of a well-grown dog grazing somewhere.
At that moment, a knight quietly raised his hand and stepped forward. He hesitated for a moment and then opened his mouth with difficulty.
“I saw it. Lawrence standing at the water pipe with that rookie knight. Lawrence was definitely handing over a tissue.”
“Is that true, Lawrence?”
Everyone’s eyes, including the middle-aged knight’s, turned to Lawrence. Lara watched quietly, thinking that whatever happened would happen.
“This is unfair! What I handed out was a handkerchief. Since it was the same white colour, it might look like tissue from afar. But this white handkerchief in my arms is proof that what I said is true!”
“Then why did you hand this kid a handkerchief?”
“That’s… I told him to dry his hands because Laan was washing them.” “Well, if you’re going to do something, you should wash your hands… … . You’ve come up with a testimony that is too good to be true? Do you want some excuse, you swindler?”
“I absolutely will not… swear!”
For the first time, a protest came out of Lara’s mouth. I couldn’t understand it. It was a group that couldn’t help but be serious about something like this. Try to get involved in something like this, even if you don’t want to laugh, it’ll be so ridiculous that you’ll laugh.
Unlike Lara, who was groaning and groaning, the reactions around her were incredibly cold. It was as if they had witnessed a psycho who was having fun after being caught in every crime. “… He’s a dangerous kid. Take him to the torture chamber right now!”
“Yes!”
“No, that’s not green, no, that’s not green. Wait a minute, phew.”
Lara burst into tears. It was so funny.
The knights who forcibly dragged her away and the only one who blocked the knights’ path, Edgar 3… … . Lara couldn’t help but cry until she reached the cold underground torture chamber because there wasn’t a single play. It was so funny.
