How many hours had passed? Lara stared at the silver-gray iron bars with a hazy gaze. She had long since lost the feeling in her arms and legs because she had been tied up in an uncomfortable position. On the other hand, her basic needs related to survival were clear.
She was cold and hungry. Her parents would be worried about her not returning to the mansion by now. Her brother, a spaghetti eating human, would be boiling spaghetti and eating it⊠⊠. It was a picture that she could picture clearly without having to look at it.
<Thank goodness she came to her senses.>
âWhy on earth did I have to go through this?â
<Itâs natural to get tired when you get involved with the female protagonist.>
âIs this related to the female protagonist? Oh⊠⊠. Now that I think about it.â She remembered the small back that had been blocking her. Could it be that she had been in a position to be unfairly sacrificed for that shitty figure from the beginning? It couldnât have been anything but a creepy structure.
<They say that in order for the heroine to shine, the surroundings must be dark. The value and charm of the heroine become even clearer when all kinds of hardships and adversity come crashing down.> âOh, my⊠⊠. I ate a walking landmine and a friend.â
Lara was shivering with self-loathing. The strange sound of an iron gate opening was heard from afar. A bright yellow light appeared in the faint darkness, and a raspy voice was heard.
âYou are truly generous, not to mention merciful. You tell me not to torture a vicious criminal who has been hiding under the desk, let alone hurt his fingers.â
âThatâs right. Tsk. Looks like you just woke up, that criminal.â
He was an old guard. He frowned, using all his wrinkles, as he pushed a loaf of hard bread and a bottle of milk into the prison.
âI would like to burn the butts of those four guys who insulted His Majesty with a soldering iron, but thanks to the order you personally gave us, I canât do that.â
âIâm being treated unfairly! Please get me out of here!â
âIâm being treated unfairly? We saw it all! The way you laughed like crazy when you were dragged here⊠⊠You devilish bastard, even if you act nice now, we know your true colors!â
When he yelled at her, Lara, startled, banged her head against the wall. The guards snickered at Lara as she groaned in pain and left the prison.
Unable to free her arms that were tied behind her, Lara walked awkwardly on her knees and bit into the bread that seemed to have been carelessly thrown onto her plate. She ate it slowly but she choked. She couldnât drink because of the wooden stopper blocking the mouth of the milk bottle, and rolled around on the floor in pain.
She was a self-made young lady. Ah⊠⊠. I should have just said, âMy darling.â Lara shed tears of belated regret. It was the first time in her life that she had ever eaten bread soaked in tears.

Diches had now arrived at the backyard behind the Knightsâ building. Judging from the fact that the urine that had been left at the backyard entrance was still warm, she could tell that she had not been here long.
âLetâs stop this chase. No matter how much I run away, you are already in my hands.â
She was tired. She felt that she had to quickly put it back in her pocket to relieve her fatigue. Diches hung his office glasses in his suit pocket and scanned the darkened surroundings with sharp eyes.
Soon, something quickly jumped out from beyond the huge bushes, making her wonder if she had followed the right footsteps.
âWow!â
It was a large, large dog. Unable to contain his joy, the guy ran to his master, placed his two paws on Dichesâs shoulders and started licking under his chin.
âJohnny, look. Doesnât your body prove that you can never be separated from me?â
Looking down at his tail that was swaying from side to side, Diches slowly stroked the nape of his neck. An unmistakable possessiveness was evident at the end of his lecherous touch.
âDid you think you could escape from me?â âKing!â
âYou had a ridiculous thought. As long as this leash around your neck doesnât break,
you are mine forever. Donât try to run away from me anymore. I hope you realize that this is a meaningless act.â
âKing!â
Thatâs right. Johnny, the pet dog, had followed his master from the dukeâs mansion to the knightsâ quarters, only smelling his masterâs scent. After barking into the masterâs office and swearing, he had been playing in the garden until now.
âThe only place that suits you is inside my house. Chirp to your heartâs content there, my little canary.â
Calling himself a little bird, as if he could hold it in his hand, Diches smiled secretly. As if he was finally satisfied.
Johnny was just panting brightly in the arms of his master who wanted to possess him completely.
âIâll leave Johnny to you.â âSir, just leave him to me!â
Diches, who left Johnny to the knight, turned around and headed to the dungeon. As he went inside after being greeted by the guard guarding the door, he saw a knight standing outside the prison with his back to him. He could tell right away by the silver hair that looked like a high-temperature wig with a soft glow.
âSir Edgar 3.â
âOh, sir, are you here?â
Edgar3 turns around and answers in a moderate voice that is neither high nor low. âShall I step aside?â
âNo.â
Diches noticed that Edgar3 was talking to a new knight named Laan in the prison. He couldnât help but wonder what they were talking about without him.
âDonât worry about me and keep talking.â âBut⊠⊠.â
âItâs okay.â
Edgar3 couldnât be stubborn anymore at the gentle persuasion. He turned his body that was facing Diches back to stand in front of the iron bars and quietly made eye contact with Laan.
âIâll get you out of there in no time.â
âThank you, Edgar3⊠⊠. If you hadnât protested from the beginning, things wouldnât have gotten this bad. Thank you so much.â
âDonât thank me. Iâm not worthy of being your friend for making things so hard for you.â Edgar3 put his forehead against the cold iron bars. It was the first time the usually blunt and awkward female protagonist showed her true feelings. This appearance seemed different to the male protagonist, and Dichesâs eyes widened slightly.
âWait a minute.â
It was the moment when Edgar3, no, Elina3, slightly pulled away from her forehead. A large hand reached out from the side and touched her short hair. Lara was more surprised than Elina3 by the gentle touch, as if he was stroking it.
âThe wig is crooked. It wonât be obvious if you wear it more like this, fitting it to the crown of your head.â
âWhat? Do you know itâs a wig?!â
<I see. The romance is finally coming⊠âŠ>
I thought the male protagonist didnât know that Elina3 was a woman, but it seemed that he knew that Elina3 was disguised as a man.
Lara was relieved. It seemed like there was a little hope, as it seemed that not all clichés had been destroyed.
After fixing Elina3’s wig, Diches quickly turned around to leave the prison.
“I don’t think it’s something embarrassing enough to hide.”
Leaving behind meaningful words, Diches quickly left the place. Lara looked uncomprehending for a moment, but soon realized the meaning and screamed.
‘No, that’s not it… …! It’s not hair loss!!’
I don’t know how many hours I lay on the cold, hard floor. The person who told me to wait a little bit must have gone home, but he never showed up no matter how long I waited. ‘It was my fault for believing and waiting.’
Of course, no one would wonder whether the extra really pooped or not.
It would be much more beneficial to this world if the female protagonist’s precious time was used for romance with the male protagonist rather than clearing the extra’s name. Even at this moment, she might be having a cozy conversation with a male protagonist.
âItâs sad to be single⊠⊠. Oh my god, do extras have partners?â There was no answer. Even gods sleep. Yes, she had no choice but to believe that.
Being left alone in the thick darkness was not very pleasant. As she began to feel more and more sleepy, Lara began to feel resigned.
âI guess Iâll sleep here tonight.â
Who said that? The next stage of giving up is self-rationalization.
âYes, Iâd rather sleep. If a raccoon, a mouse, or a cockroach comes out, Iâll bite my tongue and die.â
She would have fainted before she could bite her tongue, but Lara tried to close her eyes and fall asleep. She prayed that her night in the bleak prison would pass safely.
It was deep night, the moon in the night sky had become thin. Lara opened her eyes as the wind blew against her cheek. It was dark in front of her so she couldnât see well, but something was moving. It seemed like she could hear breathing nearby. â⊠What is it?â
While her eyes were slowly closing and opening, she felt her body shaking up and down. Was she still half asleep? Lara raised her head in a daze and opened her eyes wide. She was outside. It was nice that the cool night breeze was blowing, but her body was floating in the air. She was flying fast from a height about twice that of a person.
âWhoaaaaah! What is this!!â âShh.â
Lara lowered her head at the small voice from below. She saw Elina3 running vigorously below.
âItâs okay to sleep more.â
âWould you sleep more if you were her?!â
Lara was dumbfounded and scared because she didnât know what was happening, and she wanted to go down right away. Sheâd rather carry me and run. What the heck is this?
Laraâs complaints were soon resolved.
âEveryone, here!â
As I entered the forest connected to the back gate of the Imperial Knights, a woman who looked exactly like Elina 3 was waiting. As soon as I met her, the wind that had been carrying Lara dispersed and she was able to land carefully on the ground.
âCome on, get on! We have to hurry.â
The strength of the hand that was supporting my back was no joke. As I got on the carriage without thinking, the carriage immediately started running through the forest.
It felt like a midnight escape show had turned into a chase, but it was fortunate that I had finally gotten out of the dungeon.
