The Marked Alpha Is Extremely Hard to Coax - Chapter 7
Zhou Die initially just wanted to control Jiang Yunbian.
But this troublemaker, when he went wild, became unrecognizable, clawing at his neck with his right hand and kicking and punching Zhou Die. His body temperature was rising, becoming alarmingly hot.
The blanket covering them had long been kicked away, leaving the new dormitory in chaos.
Zhou Die pinned Jiang Yunbian’s flailing arms above his head and held his waist. “Jiang Yunbian, stop moving.”
“Get off, get away!” Jiang Yunbian’s eyes were red at the corners, panting heavily, his unfocused gaze struggling to fix on Zhou Die’s collarbone. “Get lost!”
Zhou Die’s eyes darkened. “Tsk.”
Jiang Yunbian’s legs were restless. As Zhou Die leaned in to pin him down, the jade pendant hanging from his neck slipped out, grazing Jiang Yunbian’s cheek.
Unfortunately, Zhou Die was too focused on restraining the uncontrollable Alpha to notice the trouble he was causing.
The jade pendant, cool like a small piece of ice, irritated Jiang Yunbian. Annoyed, he bit down on it.
Snap!
When Zhou Die looked down, the jade pendant had broken in two, with one half still in Jiang Yunbian’s mouth!
“Jiang Yunbian!” Zhou Die’s gaze changed instantly. He grabbed Jiang Yunbian by the neck, flipped him over, and then pressed down on his face. “Spit it out!”
“Mmm… cough!” Jiang Yunbian, roughly turned over, was pinned down with his burning neck still in agony.
When Zhou Die retrieved the broken piece of jade, he unconsciously used more force than intended.
After putting the jade back in his pocket, he pried open Jiang Yunbian’s mouth to check for injuries.
Jiang Yunbian’s jaw was clenched tight. Zhou Die pressed down on his lips with his right thumb. “Open your mouth, you mad dog.”
“Mmm…”
Even without this rough method, Zhou Die could tell from Jiang Yunbian’s red, full lips and white teeth. When Zhou Die tried to withdraw his hand, he was scratched by Jiang Yunbian’s canine teeth.
Zhou Die squinted, lifted Jiang Yunbian’s chin.
“Sharp teeth?”
Jiang Yunbian’s eyes were reddened, struggling to focus. “Biting you… trivial…”
Zhou Die, seemingly stimulated by his arrogant defiance, was hit by a dark thought. The pheromones that had been enveloping him became clearer.
What was sweet and soft, unlike the typical Omega scent, now ignited Zhou Die’s certain addiction.
Jiang Yunbian, in a dazed state, vaguely sensed the danger approaching and shuddered when he saw Zhou Die’s gaze.
Unlike his usual feigned indifference, Zhou Die’s eyes now brimmed with intense desire.
Jiang Yunbian’s internal alarm bells went off. He warned coldly, “What the hell… is with your look?”
But Enigma was a born ruler. Being spoiled or weak might elicit some pity, but Jiang Yunbian’s reckless resistance only provoked Zhou Die’s harsh desire to subdue him.
In that instant, as Jiang Yunbian glared at him, Zhou Die finally found the exact phrase to describe this arrogant classmate.
Why did Jiang Yunbian attract so much attention when he was helpless?
Zhou Die playfully wiped his face, which he had long been coveting. “Are you asking me?”
As an Alpha, Jiang Yunbian had never been treated so lightly. He bared his sharp teeth and bit Zhou Die’s fingertip.
But Jiang Yunbian was in such a terrible state that he had no strength left.
Zhou Die didn’t care about his resistance. He calmly withdrew his fingertip, brushing Jiang Yunbian’s lip corner, and then quickly slid his hand down to grip his neck.
Jiang Yunbian was forced to tilt his head back, his vision blurring.
“Endure it.”
“Ah!”
The breath hit his neck, and the skin that had been scratched was now held in Zhou Die’s mouth.
After a brief pain, the discomfort that had plagued him disappeared instantly. Jiang Yunbian felt the coolness on his neck, like soft snow melting on his heated skin, soothing every cell in his body.
The oppressive pain dissipated, and he uncontrollably moaned, collapsing into Zhou Die’s embrace.
After the pheromones were administered, Zhou Die’s eyes lifted slightly, savoring the cool minty scent.
It was even sweeter than the mint candies he usually ate.
Jiang Yunbian, disheveled, lay on the floor. His eyes and cheeks were flushed, but after focusing, he regained his ferocity.
Suddenly, he propped himself up and, using all his strength, grabbed Zhou Die by the collar. “Have you bitten enough?”
But this meager strength was like a puppy’s nudge to Zhou Die. If not for Zhou Die’s tolerance, he wouldn’t have been able to lift him at all.
Jiang Yunbian roared in uncontrolled anger, “Do you really dare to bite me?”
“Otherwise?” Zhou Die frowned, suppressing his irritation to press Jiang Yunbian down on the table. “You broke the suppressant.”
“What suppressant? I have my own suppressant!”
“Don’t you understand the situation? I’m an Enigma.”
Enigma? Jiang Yunbian’s head felt as if it had been struck heavily, and his fingers went numb instantly.
He had studied physiology and knew about Enigmas and their mysterious gender, even jokingly saying it was like a tyrant—bad luck if you encountered one.
But he had never imagined he would be the one to encounter such bad luck.
“You’re experiencing a Reverse reaction,” Zhou Die said, pressing down Jiang Yunbian’s trembling hand, his brow furrowed as he explained. “The situation was critical just now. You’ve entered the sensitivity period, and you need a suppressant or a temporary mark to control it.”
“Shut up.” Jiang Yunbian raised his hand and shoved Zhou Die against the edge of the bed, growling, “I told you to shut up.”
Zhou Die had planned to give the Alpha in front of him two minutes to calm down, but before he knew it, Jiang Yunbian had already decided on his counterattack—
He bit down on Zhou Die’s neck!
Zhou Die reacted quickly, grabbing Jiang Yunbian’s neck, but Jiang Yunbian’s shift in weight caused him to bite Zhou Die’s collarbone instead.
The taste of blood mixed with the scent of cedar, bringing a sharp sting.
Zhou Die’s eyes twitched slightly, and he swiftly got up to restrain Jiang Yunbian, threatening with his hand still on his neck, “Don’t you know when to be grateful?”
Zhou Die’s anger suddenly stopped when he noticed the redness around Jiang Yunbian’s eyes, realizing why he had lost control.
Jiang Yunbian, originally an Alpha who could mark others, was now marked by Zhou Die himself.
Zhou Die had shattered Jiang Yunbian’s dignity and pride as an Alpha, leaving him with only his final defensive bites.
Zhou Die let go of him. “… Sorry.”
To hell with your apology. I can still beat you, but not right now.
Jiang Yunbian’s harsh words were on the tip of his tongue, but the pheromones made him instinctively submit and retreat.
He was powerless against Zhou Die’s pheromones.
“Don’t let me see you again.” Jiang Yunbian grabbed a jacket from the bed, clumsily putting on his shoes and heading for the door.
His only option now was to distance himself from Zhou Die and avoid being suppressed by his pheromones.
But as he bent down, everything went dark, and when he came to, Zhou Die had him on his back.
He roared, “How dare you touch me?”
“I never intended to mark you. This reaction was triggered by our highly compatible pheromones. I’m sorry I didn’t explain it clearly yesterday, and I haven’t fully accepted this myself,” Zhou Die restrained Jiang Yunbian’s struggles. “I had prepared a special suppressant, but I didn’t expect your reaction to be so severe. If I hadn’t marked you temporarily, you would have been in great danger.”
The sensation of having his neck bitten was still vivid. Zhou Die’s scent felt like a collar around Jiang Yunbian’s neck.
“I’m an Alpha. You biting me is…”
“I’m not denying my mistake or shirking responsibility, but you need to go to the hospital first. We’ll deal with this later,” Zhou Die guided him to the stairs. “Your life is more important.”
“Damn it, I don’t need your help!” Jiang Yunbian shrugged off Zhou Die and staggered forward.
What’s done is done; there’s little point in dwelling on it. The most important thing now is his health.
The Zhou family’s car was right outside. Once he got in, Jiang Yunbian slammed the door shut, clearly unwilling to be with Zhou Die.
When Zhou Die arrived at the hospital by taxi, Jiang Yunbian had already been admitted to the reserved room and had fallen asleep after the examination.
Zhou Die peeked through the window at the sleeping figure and, after confirming with the driver that there were no abnormalities, finally relaxed.
“The test results are out,” an hour later, the internal medicine chief approached Zhou Die with the blood test results. “An Alpha in their first Reverse reaction is extremely unstable. The best control method is actually marking by an Enigma, which minimizes the damage to his body and helps with his secondary differentiation. We still don’t recommend you prepare…”
Zhou Die looked up. “Can you stop the Reverse reaction?”
The doctor remained silent for a long time before responding with an apologetic smile, “That’s a bit beyond contemporary medicine.”
Zhou Die said nothing, and the doctor sighed, “You’ve just differentiated yourself. Instead of waiting here in the hospital, it would be better to go back for now. Mr. Zhou is still waiting for you.”
Zhou Die nodded and asked the doctor for paper and pen.
“What’s this?” The doctor looked at the number Zhou Die left, puzzled.
“He’ll want to discuss this with me. I can’t let him not find me when he wakes up.”
